I cry đą as I watched this video because I could not understand what was happening to me bombarded fiercfully and deceitful ly with thoughts.. it happened when I helped save 2 souls from lots of trouble too.
Now I understand. Im in a state of gratitude for God and for the priest who uttered these consoling and teaching words. I owe you lots of prayer priest and May St John Vianny on his feast day protect you and keep you in His light.
I used to think those evil thoughts were somewhere inside me. I'd confess them. I see now they're temptations, so when they come up, I say NO! Because if I don't block it (close the gate) my thinking goes downhill fast! In a nutshell, I guess it's keeping fixed on God no matter what's happening outside. It's a daunting practice. I'll pray for you, pray for me! I'm also secular Franciscan 20+ years. I could have used this years ago.
@@dianarivers1885 I will Diana. All of us could have done things much better before which is a good sign because we now finally understand what it is all about. All we can do is thank the Lord and the priest for this enlightment. Now we look forward to try to do it better while at the same time remain close to Jesus and Mary.

Our secular Franciscan order returned to tradition and left the Pope Paul VI V2 SFO and became Tertiaries of the Third Order of St Francis 2 years ago, we use the rule that was promulgated by Pope Leo XIII, what a blessing. The spiritual war was just heating up then and is all out war now on all frontsđĄđĄđ
You went back to the Leonine Rule? I know of two groups who went back and modified the original Rule. May I ask what country you are in and how you live your Rule? I am an OFS, but love all my Third Order brothers and sisters; I think we are richer for knowing each other!

I also wish if there is a talk on recollection..what does it mean etc.. and the way to get the mind in a state always ready for contemplation.. is the Jesus prayer one of those tools? What tools maybe used to calm the mind..? I also find that walks in nature do it for me, funny also driving a motorcycle which I no longer have..
Sitting in my apt silently does not always guarantee that the third level war will not take place.. it is when i am alone in my apt that these wars have been waged..

I asked Holy Spirit how to keep satan from sneaking into my "garden" (imagination) - how to close the "garden gate". Holy Spirit told me that if i closed the "gate" on satan, id also close the "gate" on Holy Spirit from coming in to play/talk with me. Our "gate"/heart must remain open, while praying for protection/deliverance, and praying Rosary, daily, to create my garden into a rosarium to/for Mary. And this is where recollection comes into play - gate/heart open but disciplined mind/thoughts. Intellects reason can be so sluggish, but intellects imagination takes flight on a dime. This is what St. Ignatius of Loyolas spiritual exercises try to teach us/Ignatian spirituality.

True! When you get old youâre ignored. But try to offer this to Christ. He was ignored by his family except Mary and Joseph. Iâm one who has virtually no access to the sacraments or Mass. I donât attend any Novus Order masses or confesss to modernist priests.

I asked God to help me see the spiritual world for what it is (like help the scales fall off my eyes) and, I kid you not, I had the most freak fall off my bed the next day as if I was thrown off it by an unseen force. I then realized that my Guardian Angel protects me from stuff like this on a regular basis but I just canât see it. It was very humbling AND scary to be honest.

I've listened to this many times. As a catholic ....I feel the world is easier for me to avoid......the flesh is the main battle that has lessened but from time to time is there.

⊠Second company (the reserves) many of a more noble idea of things will not fall for these base things of the flesh, so now they come at you with Pride: riches, honor, fame, favor, acknowledgment, to be needed, applauded etc..
âȘ the first seem so dirty, these seem like good things, they belong to those we hold up in society as the great ones. Pride puffs up, turns our thought and actions to our own glorification rather than that of God, gives us a false sense of yourself, but we all want it but they those who take it FALL.
⊠Third company (elite, to finish the joy); If you have made it through the last two the elite fighting force then comes to insure your total lose and destruction. Remember this Goliath, the devil, is a trained warrior from his youth: And YOU???

Some people find it difficult to embrace anthropomorphized descriptions of such dynamics ~ it sounds like a "harsh being" to some.. I was under this impression until recent developments...
I mean. Bob Dylan is a prolific songwriter ~ music is like breathing to him, why shouldn't he sing if that's his life purpose? Like, "he's gonna die if he doesn't," can mean that life will stop being pleasant and meaningful, because he has betrayed his natural impulses?... It's not necessarily an occult contract?
I am personally not sure if I should take his response literally and/or seriously. Hyperbole and sarcasm are often an artist's (more especially a writer's) resort and relief...

Gosh Bob Dylan had a Christian conversion and sang about Christ and recorded a couple of Christian albums and had a song âYouâre gonna have to serve somebody.., well it may be the devil or it may be the Lord but youâre gonna have to serve somebody.â I sure hope his âbossâ is God, but he doesnât do the Christian songs anymore I donât think.
Well... whatever it is it serves to drive the point across. Though he didn't directly frame Bob Dylan for the sin. It stroke me as an example of how worldly people make these pacts to achieve fame and money. And after they've done them they do not know what to do even if they repent, so they keep working (And hopefully what they work on isn't inherently sinful).
