The best thing I did was drop out of grad school. Being a mother is so much more important than being a respected archaeologist. The temptation is to want to serve the Lord in a big, showy way. The small, simple acts of love and charity to those closest to you is the true way to serve Him. All glory to God. May God bless you all. Thank you for your talk, Father.

My daughter just got married, and is in grad school. I have had this desire for her. Especially if the university requires her to get the vaccine. The guidelines give advice on who should not get one and she fall in that category. I wonder if the university will respect this CCD guideline?

@@rosannerossi6376 I will pray for your daughter that she discerns the best course of action for her and her child's life, along with her husband.

God Bless you JL. You’re comment hit home for me in this moment. I get so worried and preoccupied with the “big picture” and how I can work to evangelize the world and push back against secular society, that I neglect the simple, daily opportunities to serve Him by loving and leading my kids to Him. Roseanne, I work for a large state university and they recently issued a statement about the roll out of the vaccine saying “As of right now, receiving the vaccine will be voluntary”...mandatory vaccination is coming.

@@cawile God bless you, too Courtney. I actually do too. It's a daily battle to remember to be humble. I think if you can manage both, why not? But for me, I had to choose the life of my child or the stress of publishing a thesis. It wasn't an easy pregnancy. And the early years are so important. Now that my daughter is getting ready for school, I wonder about next steps career-wise. But I have to challenge myself to ensure I am prioritizing my husband and child and even my neighbors and community before I can manage more on my plate. And to be honest, all that is a lot for me. It's not for some, so I do think it's a family discernment. God blessed you good, as my great grandma used to say.

I wasted my time before by going to music bar almost every night, now I'm suffering. I regret so much for what I did.

Offer your sufferings in union with Jesus. Tell Him of your regrets & how repentful you are. Let not your pains go to waste :)

Italy’s Catholics didn’t have babies so they have little to compare age to! Lol. If they saw grandchildren then they would understand aging better. Reality is that time is given to us to give to God and His Will not ours. Catholic babies show love for God’s Will. I wish grandchildren for all Catholic Italians. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️☦️❤️ 👶🏽 👶🏼👶🏾👶👶🏿👶🏻

@@42STUKA I think the reason why they don't post the Fathers' names is to protect them... in these days of bullying, threats and vandalism... ... I asked my priest one day if it would be wrong that I follow him to where ever he may go, should he ever be re-posted (moved to a new parish) in the future... and he smiled and said... "but we are all the same; a vicar of Christ" . My priest is so humble. (I think discerning parishioners know there can be a difference ... that some are better than others.
