      This happens constantly and you must trustingly in faith pray your rosary daily with your husband and entrust your son to Mary. Just be loving and compassionate to your son. You will convert through prayer and faith, not by badgering him to come back. Trust in Divine Mercy and have peace in your heart. Entrust your son daily to Holy Mary, St. Joseph and the 3 Arch Angels.

    This is what I needed to hear. I’ve been struggling with work bullying and as much as I try and keep my mind from plummeting into worry, anxiety, fear, border line despair, etc. Every Sunday I almost shut down in anticipation of my work week to come. I always try and offer my suffering up to the Lord, but it’s not easy to obtain the relief and peace I’m looking for. This talk really helped and I plan on re listening to this. Thank you.

The true blessing is that if we love God and repent, then we ARE ALL GOOD ENOUGH to keep seeking the love of God in our lives. Reminding of ourselves of the past is wasting time that can be spent loving God. Seek the Kingdom not self pity. Then you will know true joy.

    Yesterday i asked myself: If my love is toxic is my hate than healthy? This is because my ex send me a video after ignoring me for months trying to tell me i am codependent and therefor my love is toxic. Now i hear an explanation telling me yes it is healthy and it is such a relief to hear. Are we not depended if we want a hug or a conversation? Is it bad when have a difficulty being alone for weeks? Than i go to the shop walking past signs saying: come alone. I get so depressed of seeing these posters. An other poster say: In principle one person per family. It shows two people and one has e a red cross trough one of the persons head. It is where you must pay so you cant miss it. Thank you so much for being a channel that is always lifting me up and give me hope.

    • @paxcoder
      @paxcoder Před 3 lety +4

      There is worldly hatred of self (that is, your soul) that is unhealthy, then there is saintly hatred of self (that is, your flesh) that is. As fr. explains in the beginning of the video. So there is bad hatred of others, and good hatred of others. Be careful not to confuse the two (in either category)
      Luke 14:26:
      "If any one comes to me without hating his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple."
      But _in the same time_ we are to love even our enemies! And we lie if we say we love God and hate our own brother (1 John 4:20), so what does Jesus mean by hate?
      Well in the synoptic Matthew 10:35 we find these words:
      "Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; "
      So, clearly we are not to hate others' souls. Jesus does not hate souls. Jesus died for all, and God wants all to be saved! We are to hate our attachment to people (and things, and ourselves) that would take precedence over our love for God. True love comes from Him who is Love, and as st. Paul says, it is, among other things, "patient" "it does not seek its own interests", "does not brood over injury", "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things". That is to say, true love will definitely give up being with a person if it is to help them get to heaven.
      If you _require_ something from your partner, that's not of love. Your partner, nay, God through your partner, should provide you with certain things, but if God should allow they they do not, then you should bear it, and God will turn this curse into a blessing for you. You should be able to renounce yourself in this regard also. You should still love them and work on their salvation (nay, God through you), but should accept that they may not return this love. We are fallen creatures, what we really need is God. For us who are a part of the Bride, Jesus is our true Bridegroom. Jesus says there is no marriage between people in heaven.
      And note that I'm really talking about marriage. "Dating" as promoted by the world is mostly just occasion for sin. I think your post is about dating, so I would suggest looking up courting on Sensus Fidelium. For men also how to raise a man. And Fr. Ripperger's series on marriage.
      Above all, do not allow _any_ intimacy, not even if you are most frighten of loss. God is what you really want and He is all you need, and He knows what's best for you and _wishes_ best for you, so trust Him not yourself, not the lies of the devil. "Worst" case scenario you die "alone" as the world would put it, united to the Bridegroom. May it be so if God wishes, or may it be that we suffer for someone if He wishes that. May it not be the option He does not wish! God forbid!

  • @AbsurdScandal
    @AbsurdScandal Před 3 lety +9

    The message is correct and beneficial, it's just the packaging that needs work. "Hatred of self" isn't literal, it's hyperbolic in the same vein as Christ saying to love God and hate your parents. The key thing is that Self-discipline and willingness for self-denial are good, and self-control is fruit of the Spirit. Having preferences or even intense desires for enjoyable things isn't sinful - it's just we need to be nuanced and in control of ourselves as well, having the willingness to set them aside for a greater good to ourselves and others if need be, and practicing self-denial is a good way to be enabled for this. In the end, all good things come from God, including our freedom to choose what isn't sinful and what we prefer, as well as self-discipline and self-control.

    Excellent! Thank you so very much! Need to hear more like this teaching. It clearly puts things into perspective & gives an understanding why we may feel a particular way after some event/hardship, etc. Ex. No happiness comes if/when we loose our patience, instead angry at self. Whereas, if we can endure gracefully through an unfair situation there is peace within. Will save this video to go back & listen to again & again. Especially, in these trying days in our nation gives us "training" , too, to endure joyfully whatever trials the future may hold & realize they may come our way so that we grow more in virtue. Gives a clear, unseeming purpose why trials may come our way. So blessed are we in our Catholic faith!

    • @chadhorton5879
      @chadhorton5879 Před 2 lety +4

      It’s a holy hatred of self. We hate that which is evil in us. Our evil inclinations, our pride, our perverse will. We hate that which is disordered in us...Our tendency to love excess in pleasure, comfort, luxury, always wanting to do our own will, despising others, etc...We hate the fallen Adam in us or the “old man” that St. Paul speaks of. The old man must die first if we our to reclothe ourselves in the new and heavenly Man who is Our Lord Jesus Christ. And this takes a holy hatred of self. This is the violence we have to do to ourselves that our Lord speaks of in the gospel. It’s a violence done to our fallen nature we inherited after original sin that penetrates to our very bone marrow. Only in this can we participate in Our Lords resurrection. If this is not done in this life it must be done in the next in purgatory. Only there the suffering will be much greater and we cannot merit an increase in glory, charity, nor in the knowledge, understanding, or fruition of God.

    Part 4
    familiar with how it feels to be treated badly for no reason so even if someone hurts me it makes absolutely no sense for me to hurt them they hurt them no matter what they have done to me because it doesn't help the situation and only adds more pain to it not only that but I will just feel extremely guilty later And I already feel extremely uncomfortable even imagining giving them a taste of their own medicine so much so I feel like I'm being molested in the spirit And it is so uncomfortable for me to even think of these things I definitely don't plan on doing them and so many people in my life had tries To treat me like I'm not allowed to exist and I'm not allowed to talk out loud about my actual personality traits because there is something wrong with me if they are actually truthful to what I say because if I dare say them out loud then that means I'm being self righteous Because unable to say these things and tell the truth about myself Because people automatically get butt hurt and feel conviction for the ways they have chosen to live and take it out on me because they chose to make choices I didn't want to make throughout their life, So I'm not allowed to acknowledge my existence nor am I allowed to acknowledge who I am as a person because if I have chosen to make better choices Then they have morally, How dare I think I'm allowed to do that , That is how they think they literally think how dare I, A lot of people think you're faking it because most people do fake it, But when they realize you're not faking it they hate you even more Acting as if God gave you gifts and not them, And this yet again is another example of someone beaten By the idiotic immoral ideals of someone who is a glutton of meat and thinks with a flesh mind more so than they ever do with a spiritual mind, Because someone who actually thinks with a spiritual mind Would not ever think such a thing just because someone Has chosen to be a good person and has remained as such because they enjoy it, It takes a lot of work to be able to hold fast to these things that we all receive as Children when it comes to positive personality traits but not everybody wants to hold on to them because they would rather give in and take the easy way out and treat people bad whenever they want to instead of being strong and doing what is right like Jesus taught us so everybody who does exactly what Jesus taught they absolutely hate them and treat them as if God Loves them more which is complete and utter garbage because he loves us all the same and it is not his fault how we end up as people it is our own faults, Dimension when you hold fast to your good personality traits and sound morals You end up being treated by garbage that isn't even worth being called trash , My entire life I have literally been hated for absolutely no reason and none of it made any sense whatsoever until I learned about narcissism and the demonic depths within it. Man is so hypocritical and so quick to lie and Change things up and pick and choose what he is comfortable with, But he is so willing to sabotage the life of another if he sees that someone worked harder than they did when it comes to spiritual warfare, Because deep down everybody knows to maintain sound morals bound morals and good traits within your personality and entire Being it takes extreme strength that nobody of any physical strength could ever reach, To do this takes a spiritual and Supernatural type of strength that is not easily Taken but has to be worked for and earned. These people that have maintained the good things about them they've had as a child, They have literally had to spend their entire lives dealing with being hated for absolutely no reason not only that but most of them literally can't help but being who they are because its the only thing that makes sense, To lack an empathy is to lack in intelligence, There is a reason why God is so intelligent it is far beyond what we will ever understand but he is also so loving it is far beyond what we will ever comprehend or understand, Intelligence and empathy go hand-in-hand which is why these people of true empathic nature end up the individuals that are true prophetic individuals of God, And narcissistic individuals will often times try to imitate them and act like They are the ones who earned their way there And they will purposely Learn exactly how to imitateAny type of empathic individual they come across because they know when they come across a empathic individual because it is the exact opposite of them. I do not care what doctors teach about how they say everyone has narcissistic tendencies because these doctors do not know everyone on the planet in a personal way to be able to say such a ignorant thing, Not only that but not only is that such a negative and unrealistic way to go about things as psychologists or in psychology in general, But these are the same people who see religion as a thing that makes people act irrationally and Makes them do ridiculous ritualistic things, This is a simple window into how idiotic and immoral man has chosen to become thinking that hes actually intelligent when hes actually the opposite. Worldly intelligence is not intelligent at all, It is only what man "perceives" as extremely intelligent. In the same way people have different religions and "perceive" their own version of God When in reality there is right end there is wrong and there is how a loving father would be who loves both of his children whether it be daughter or son as exactly the same and does not pick favorites, And there is a different between a father who is a phony and loves one child more than the other which is called a narcissist and is not what God would be. I am never again in my life going to run with the perception of God that man has before I ever listened to God directly 1st. I learned my lesson and I will never ever disrespect him in this way again. In the name of Jesus Christ may everybody who come across this comment learn the truth and love of Jesus Christ, RE'EH!!!!! ESPHPHATHA BE OPENED !!!! SO BE IT, SO SHALL IT BE, AMEN

    In 2005 God gave me fibromyalgia which is a chronic pain and neurological disease. My skin burns often with constant pain in all muscles, tendons and even the cartilage in my ears. It is 2024, so next year will be 20 years of CONSTANT pain. My pain medicine helps me be functional to my 3 bots and husband.
    QUESTION: Should I not take my pain medicine in order to "hate myself?"

    Think of this practice of self denial as extra credit. Those simple pleasures or discomforts may not be sin, but the Christian who denies himself is like the student who receives full scholarship to a prestige college, in our case... Heaven. The rest of the college applicants may get some scholarship but they are tormented with hard work to pay the rest of their tuition, much like purgatory. Many will be denied even acceptance. Think about how rare it is for students to receive the full scholarship, its even more rare for Christians to get into Heaven because many don't want to put in the extra work, self denial of pleasures because we wanna fraternize, indulge over doing extra homework.

    Yes, a holy hatred of self. Only in this can way can we participate in Our Lords resurrection. If this is not done in this life it must be done in the next in purgatory. Only there the suffering will be much greater and we cannot merit an increase in glory, charity, nor in the knowledge, understanding, or fruition of God.

    Is it a fault to be contrarian of human respect? Some people want me to be loyal to them, but I don’t care enough. I’ve also thought about how being contrary makes you almost child-like which draws you closer to God if you don’t deny the grace he offers.

      @LadyK-my8pe I agree but if you look at all the lives of the saints, in many of not all those situations, they could've done something but instead suffered through it all in silence and even asked for more of the same suffering and humiliation be sent their way. How do you discern where & when to act & when not to, to share in the injustice HE suffered in His passion and in the cross?
