Very useful Joe thanks. Our ten year old CCTV recently packed up only one camera left working and its no longer recording so left with one camera in realtime mode only. Will look into these as the wireless and solar power look good features.

So this one is about £190 including a solar panel but there’s no subscriptions to pay as with others. The Argus 3’s we’ve been using are about £120 I think for reference

Hey Joe! I have a question about this camera. In the settings, can you crop the image down to a 16:9 aspect ratio, like 3480 x 2160?
I just had a look & you can’t unfortunately (as I guess there’s no way to view the 180 otherwise) - you can just zoom in with your fingers though if you want a closer look at anything
I have the previous model to this, Argos 2k. Good picture and good playback, however the battery stopped taking a solar charge so now it's powered via a long usb mini cable using a standard 5v mobile phone charger. The solar panel still gives 5.7v in full sun.
Ahh atleast it’s still going! How old is it? I’m guessing out of warranty? Yeah I’ve got one fitted internally wired to a USB it’s quite handy
@DanniandJoe Had it for about 14 months and yes, it works a treat wired and really good graphics 👌
What's to stop the cameras being vandalised or stolen? After dark, the lights make them very conspicuous?
Nothing really! It’s mainly a deterrent, unfortunately on a boat we don’t have height advance to keep them out of arms reach like on a house. I can say though through three months in central London & 6 months with cameras in general we haven’t had one stolen yet!
@@DanniandJoe do the cameras have an infrared nighttime mode? Might make them less conspicuous?
@@PinkLittleElephant they’ve got full colour nighttime mode (even without having the torch come on) so you could turn the lights off but honestly I prefer having them turned on. Like I said six months without an issue and we’ve moored in some places people wouldn’t dream of!

Because its leaving me ah's left to put back, and it's not long enough in bulk .

With security you only get one chance hikvision is the ultimate only thing its wired but for quality and pictures the best.

Unfortunately we don’t get to choose how long any adds are anymore! CZcams took that control away a few months back. We can either choose to turn adds on or off + add mid reels (which I turned off for this video as it’s only ten minutes long)
