Even though 2b2t is not a server I would ever make the effort to join (I'm not a competitive or thick-skinned person by nature, I wouldn't have what it takes to enjoy playing on the server), it's incredible to see the deep appreciation and respect some people on the server have towards the server's history, and the genuine attempts to document that history and even attempt to reconstruct historically significant builds. The server's history is fascinating and I enjoy learning more about it and seeing these sort of comparisons, it's very interesting!

@@GumSkyloard I suppose the trouble is that a true anarchy server, like 2b2t is, will over time attract the trolls and other people who enjoy making someone else's life more difficult. So once you have an open anarchy server, while you may attempt to play nice there, and you may even find a group of like-minded people who also like to mostly play nice and build with them, the trolls will find you eventually.
(it's not really even about the fact that I wouldn't like lava casts and explosions and stuff. Sometimes it can be fun to wreck things, even the results of hard work. But I know that on an anarchy server I won't be able to choose which pieces of my hard work can get covered with stuff or blown to pieces, and which I'd like to keep intact)

@@LilacMonarch If he never made the video then all it would take is for a single griefer to come along and destroy everything here and for no evidence (other than the original screenshots) of these places to exist anymore. At least with this video it immortalize these places in video format.
Plus by making this video more people will get to enjoy these places than if no video was made at all.
And besides, it's 2b2t, griefing is a fact of life for the server. It's one of its defining characteristics. The idea that you shouldn't show places off in 2b2t because you're worried about griefers is not the 2b2t spirit. Everything in 2b2t is like a sandcastle, it's not meant to stay forever... that's what makes it different from other Minecraft servers, that's one of the reasons this server is popular in the first place.

This is double nostalgic for me... first, 2b2t screenshots. And second, the music from Guild Wars and Guild Wars 2.

Imagine getting back on 2b2t after years and finding your base aged, but still mostly in tact.
