It's software that promises an unspecified amount of money to sell off a constant 20% of your ram for equally unspecified purposes. I already knew the answer to what it would be, but I looked at their social links to find out what exactly they do to earn money off of your PC and YEP OF COURSE it's crypto mining software that you willingly install for what I found to be AT MOST (on average) $1 per day if you have a very high end PC and it ALSO steals and sells off all of your data to the highest bidder DIRECTLY from your PC.

Good example is TEMU, a shopping app where Chinese slave labour brings you cheap rubbish that is always either broken before it arrives or never arrives at all. I still cannot escape the TEMU ads.

Just a heads up: Salad slowly burns trough your graphics card, unless you have the funds to replace it, avoid it
just for the record, all other crypto mining "passive income" programs will as well. most cards arent designed to be under load 24/7, and if the thermal paste starts drying up early from the constant and excessive heat, heat damage can take it out before it would of died from being overloaded doing hashing operations all day

You are doing good things for the community but let's clarify something and be real.
I think a large portion of the Minecraft playerbase has pirated the game at some point. I know 12 year old me definitely did because in my household 10 bucks was hard to come by. Ofc later on when I had money I bought the game so I could play on non cracked server with my friends.
But even notch himself has said that he really doesn't care about Minecraft being pirated, because he knew that people would still buy the game when they could.

Used to play a pirate minecraft when I was younger, but the server you can be in are very limited. I finally bought minecraft account after I saved up money, during a sale.

Can you elaborate a little more on what you mean by that, I don't really think I understand. I've never really felt like there was something I couldn't do with my copy of the game, but then again I'm not a server hoster or a modder or whatever. If you could give me some examples of what you think is unjustly restricted that would be cool.
@@Bottom_ShelfMicrosoft took away accounts from people who didn’t migrate their account. They force moderation features into privately owned 3rd party servers(Player Reporting). Those are my two biggest complaints, I don’t like that they have removed peoples accounts for inactivity or that Microsoft removes your ability to play online for something that happened outside of their servers. I hope this helps you understand where I am coming from.
@@channelmachinebroke9638 I can definitely understand why that bothers some people, I think the player reporting thing is sort of bogus, since most servers have done their own moderation for the entire games lifespan, and commands like /ban are accessible by the host even in a vanilla server and have been for a long time now. I would agree that it's kind of a more invasive and threatening feature for sure.
I also didn't really know or hear anything about them removing people's account access if they didn't migrate, so I don't have too much to say about that. I do know that we had a really long heads up that this whole migration thing was going on so even if you didn't play for a good while I would imagine that most people who planned to play Minecraft again would have heard about it and had time to migrate. It is kind of annoying we had to do that in the first place but in my personal opinion I guess it isn't so bad, especially since I already had a Microsoft account at the time and I think a lot of other people would've had one too.
I'm still not sure if I would say Microsoft is "controlling" of your copy of the game, since these mostly have to do with your account, and even then in practice it *shouldn't* be so bad. I mean I know some servers small and large have all tried to implement some sort of feature to disable the player reporting addition by making it so that they chat can't be verified or something like that. Plus I would imagine that since so many people are against the idea and because most servers do their moderation anyways that it's a largely unused feature outside of small cases. It would be kind of cool if they decided to step back on that feature though lol

I just have one thing to say about this, THANK YOU. A few months back I met a group of people while playing 2b2t and we became friends overtime after playing with them dayily they invited me to a discord server they made that the whole point of it was to lag and dupe on pika network, because a guy in the group was minding his own business when an admin griefed his base and stole his items. We never managed to achieve our goal... But I remembered this story while watching this video and I am finally happy that they got what they deserved
It seems super hypocritical to make a video shutting down P2W Minecraft servers, and then immediately shill for a crypto-mining service without ever disclosing what it _actually_ does.

You should leave long duration dupe stashes so then if the server does manage to recover you can destroy the economy again without the threat of a rollback

PikaMC isn't contributing to piracy anyways: All those kids aren't motivated to carry out piracy because Pika is an awesome shiny fun server to play on. Pika isn't like a pull factor or something. The kids are just broke. They would've either pirated the game or not played Minecraft at all. And if they had the money, they would pay to get access to Hypixel and better mainstream experiences.
P2w is good enough as a justification. That's all.
