WE ARE BACK on our 928 Widebody project! In this video, we continue the custom metalwork on the Porsche 928 by welding the passenger side fender onto the car. See our process of TIG welding and finishing out custom aluminum panels. Our goal with our videos is to document the process, share what we know and also provide entertainment along the way. If you enjoyed this week's video, please drop a like so we can continue to keep growing and afford to increase quality, have longer videos, and eventually be able to do two videos a week!
Thanks for your support, friends!

No updates for the past two months, please don't abandon this great project
I wanna see more boxster content but this is sick
Allways do the hard things - they are what you learn the most from and makes you better.
So happy the 928 project is still going!
Real bodywork is just so👌🏼 can’t beat it
so good to see you working on the 928 again!
I love 928s and I think this will be amazing when it's finished. For ME I'd have liked the rear arch to be a little higher. Either that or the suspension needs to come up just a bit in the rear. It's a fine balance between gap an arch to look perfect. GREAT work so far!
When working on a 928, be prepared to remove A LOT of extras. And just cut those hoses
Thanks! It's nice that you're willing to show the "learning process" too when required. Glad to see this project picking back up.
That Porsche is a work of art! Can't wait to see it completed!!
I absolutely love your work. You have SO much talent. Your metalwork is impeccable. You guys deserve more subscribers. Keep at it and know there's lots out here that enjoy and appreciate your content. 👍
Your builds are Awesome I have S3 928 and I have owned it long time and had time to think some mods to rear end. Battery box can't be in very good condition anymore, cut it off and slap four LiFePO4 cells in space saver wheel hole. There are also many other cells like LTO which are safe inside and can be mounted flat. You have so big wings that You need more downforce so make real diffuser which start from rear subframe and twin exhaust can go through those notches in rear frame and shoot in there for more speed on air. This is GT car so big tank is needed but bottom of tank should be cut away and extended to the battery box space or even higher to the floor. That plastic tank can be also welded with right tools or just make metal tank with diffuser formed in it.
When this car is finished it's gonna rattle like a 1980s school lunch box lol. Just kidding. Keep up the good work. Looks great.
Really looks great! “Easy” to make one, skill to make two.
the 928 porsche should have built. great build!
The 928 originally was slated to be 6.0L but the oil crisis in the development of the car in 73-75 changed that down to 4.5L by the cars release in 1978. It’s a shame Porsche was basically handcuffed by the beginning of the EPA in 1970. Thanks Nixon
We need more.
"One Meeeeelion Years Laterrrr...."
Definitely need to switch to a smaller tungsten. 1/8” or smaller is best on thin stuff.
I don't even own 1/8. That's huge haha. I have 3/32 and 1/16
I was gonna say check your balance, ramp and pulse 😊 You’re a good welder, you’ll get it. Jody at Welding Tips and Tricks can hook you up. Looks good.
Thanks 👍
for info the koenig 928 was 210cm in the back (6.88 feet)
Now she's starting to look like a real Porsche
❤
💙
Crack up 🤣🤣 like the humour
This will be a cool 928 :)
I'm waiting on you guys to finally start on the rear bumper
14:39 I agree with that
Pause at 14:49 , laugh for 10min, catch your breath and finish the video.
Do you just use cavity wax on the inside, or do you have other rustproofing stuff you use?
Ayyy I'm first
🏅
never noticed the brown and blue eye.
Put a v12 in the porsche 💀
When will we see a new video and update?? Its been 4 long months 😢
this will be the only good looking 928
What's happened to this project? is it still active?
The car is looking awesome. Aslong as no one ever turns on those headlights. Unfortunately once they pop up all anyone will see is those ridiculous looking /ugly bug eye headlights.
Perhaps headlights from a recent caymann or boxster would look good on there.
@@chilltake Maybe, but nothing to big. So definitely (not) first generation boxster headlights.
@@smavtmb2196agree. The newer (I think 2018/19 and up?) are kinda like shrunk down Panamera lights. Would probably look pretty slick
@@chilltake Sounds promising.
If only we could convince them to change the lights.
The lights are one of the best features of the 928. So that’s like, your opinion man
I cant believe that all that bare metal hasnt flashed over with rust. Where you guys located?
They’re in York, PA. The steel you can Ospho. It could sit for a year. The AL just doesn’t rust.😅
I don’t know if you guys have plans for the headlights but I kind of hope you’re going to maybe modernize it a little from flip up frogs eyes to like light buckets? You’re doing such incredible work with this and it might be just me but those lights just take so much away from how bad ass this car is.
I veto your opinion. Leave the beautiful 928 pop ups alone
Indiana Jones is way better than The Mummy! Harrison Ford every day over Brendan Frazer!
