In this video, Ryan shows the basics on how to make your custom car bodywork be symmetrical. He also fabricates the other half of the rear spoiler in steel and welds the center together. These are some of the tips and tricks that will ensure that your custom car build looks great and is exactly identical on both sides! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
any real car guy/fabricator/928 guy should be a subscriber. I am. This is some rare content not found anywhere else. well done.
Best metal fab guy on CZcams! great personality and loads of skill!
928 was the car on my wall in the 80’s. I LOVE me sum widebody 928!!! ❤ WOW
Can't believe I wasn't subscribed on CZcams yet. Thanks so much for sharing awesome information with the world!
You are the modern mix of craftsmanship and pure talent.
I never comment, but...a few encouraging words. You are as talented at teaching and editing as you are at fabricating with metal! I am very happy your videos came across my CZcams feed! I am learning how tedious the video making process is and I'm so glad you can share what you do. Fitzee is great at showing his get-er-done methods of success, but you add the complex curves and clearly explained physics of manipulating metal. Don't hesitate to repeat the techniques as we follow along. It may seem to you that we might get bored seeing the same process repeated, but that's how one learns! And obviously working on the Porches is extra eye candy.
And obviously, you are doing what few have the ability and opportunity to do so it's nice to see the process and see that the craft is carried on.
Thanks so much for the feedback and encouraging words! Much appreciated.
As a car guy doing bodywork What you do is so fascinating
I want to do so much more but just don’t possess any of your skills
It so good to see such a skilled person practicing their trade
Can’t wait for more episodes 👍👍
I think your GHPC appearance contributed to your new subs
Gotta give props to the filming and editing, this was really fun to watch, with the music choices and all the effort in making it flow and be the right length. These videos could be really tedious if they were cut wrong.
I love watching hand metal fabrication.
Making something is cool. Making an identical mirror image copy is even more important. Thanks for your great video, and count me as a new subscriber.
I have always loved the 928 but it's always lacked something. I think you've figured out what it was lacking all these years. You are a true craftsman, keep doing what you're doing. Maybe think about creating these panels for others to buy and install or have installed?
Love this build. I had a 1986.5 928S which was my dream car since I was in Jr. high school back in the early 80’s. Unfortunately lost it in an accident in 2019. Miss that car and would have loved to do this to my 928
Man, I love it. There's so much work going into it, but the results speak for themselves.
I hope you guys have a great new year.
looks amazing
Outstanding, per usual.
That closing shot when Tony is talking about symmetry… (12m:39s) so nice! I’ve been waiting to see the full spoiler, the design -straight fire🔥🔥🔥You crushed it!
Giant profile gauges! I was missing the profile gauges and a frame machine when I did my 944 quarter panel body work years ago... it was driving me crazy... finally gave to some guy who did a cheap job then I sold it. But I learned a lot.
Really nice work there. Coming together nicely.
Show us the way! 🙇 Seriously though, fantastic work!
I love all the tools you have. And you know how to use them well!
This is an impressive feat. I'm glued.
Thank you!
You should reshape the tops of the doors and front edge of quarters to incorporate the flat edge and hard body line you have added to quarter panels and spoiler along the doors. Bringing doors just below windows out 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch and flowing that into quarters would help alot
I just started watching the channel, and on my 2nd watch of the spoiler curve...that pie cut n filler (poke) had gone over my head at first***but you didn't take the short cut way out you made what is really a very hard or long tiring process look extremely easy-going with superior craftsmanship and control with a smile l might add. Thanks for sharing this very nice metal automotive art.
looking awesome
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice Work! You are an artist.
Thank you very much!
Amazing set of skills!
Man Luka Doncic is very talented
Love the progress of this build. I can't wait to see it complete!
Beautiful work! And loving the contour gauge (the big ones)👍
Loving it, thanks!
Can I get a mold now so I can reproduce that in fiberglass? Beautiful metal work!
Happy new year to you and your loved ones! ^__^
I have wheel envy.
Thank you for sharing knowledge. Incredible skills! Who did you train with?
Thanks! I did a class with Lazze, a one on one with Chris Runge and a class with Jake (Flying Dutchman Industries)
@@CrucibleCoachworks oh wow! Some goos credentials there. I do this for a living as well but am mostly self taught. No classes in Canada. I would like to get to the states to take a course though. Chris Runge is amazing! Thanks again, keep up the great work👊🏻
I appreciate the explanations of metalwork & bodywork done on this channel. I can't put my finger on it, but there are some instructive differences that clarify things in a way that complements other channels (Wray Schelin etc). BTW is there a design plan to channel water out of that min-whale tail spoiler so that it can't pool up there?
Thanks for the kind words!
And yes we will have drains for the spoiler for sure, likely similar to the OEM rubber spoiler.
Wooouuu que bacán ese trabajo , déjame trabajar contigo soy de ecuador me llamo Carlos bermudez y también trabajo en esta línea pero por trabajar en carros tan bonitos me gustaría trabajar contigo
What electric shear are you using? Seems to work really well but I can never catch the brand.
very cool🤩
What size tyres and rims? Thanks.
Love your videos. Can you give me any info on the blue dye like stuff that you use for scribing? Tried to Google it but got no where. Much thanks.
Yep! It's called Dykem Steel Blue Layout Fluid.
When striking the metal with a mallet on a sandbag, you're stretching the metal right? Need to get myself one of those
Correct! It allows it to stretch significantly more and dome better, rather than on a flat surface.
Please check out my 1959 rag to bug. It's aluminum chassis, mid engine, v8 twin turbo getting a full cage.
Actually there was an experiment where they have shown different faces to people. Some of the faces were manipulated to be perfectly symmetrical. Surprisingly they were not liked. People said there's something wrong with those faces. So symmetry is attractive, but perfect symmetry is unnatural and repulsive.
Can u pls do mine..? 😁
