    Apart from what I learn listening to your tutorials your voice has a very calming quality. If I'm a bit frazzled your videos are the perfect antidote 🙂

    I'll remember most your adages: "don't make it complicated" and "have fun". I needed to hear this after a couple of failed projects. Thank you for this video!

    Mr. Harrison,
    Do you have a video that describes your equipment and your shop? I would like to see one in the future. As an amateur silversmith my shop is very small but I have a few obsolete tools. Your videos are inspiring. Thank you for all of the little tips. They are invaluable.

    Hi Soham, my silver doesn't come out of the tumbler as shinny and bright as yours. I have bought new shot and cleaned the tumbler and leave it in for 10 to 15 mins. and it still comes out a little dull. Do you use any compounds added to your tumbler?

    • @1soham1
      @1soham1  Před 9 lety

      yes, a burnishing compound (pure soap flakes) 1 teaspoon full. will make a huge difference

    Goodmorning mr Harrison. You said these earrings are made off fine silver. Did you really use 99.9% silver for this? I was told that it is too vulnerable for jewelry.
    Your video's are so helpfull and clear..I can't get enough watching you making jewelry. I am living in France, have no lessons..(many questions) but I wish you were my neighbour/teacher.
    Thank you very much for your answer. Have a nice day.

      yes they are fine silver. the hammering gives them strength and work well as earrings. you can use it for pendants too, but not for rings.

    Soham, How do you cut your strips? Do you use shears? A Shear? Guillotine? If shears or something that curls the strip, how do you get it straight again? Thank you soh much!

    • @1soham1
      @1soham1  Před 10 lety

      i use a bench shear, but fine silver is so soft when annealed it is easy to pull it streight
