I'm convinced that Kathleen Kenny was put there by BlackRock and that she literally CANNOT be fired. It is the only thing that makes sense at this point.

They could have invited him to one monthly production meeting, he could even have attended online, being present when they vented their projects and ideas, and George could give his opinions. George should have had an option to attend such creative meetings, even though he would be free not to attend if he so chose to. IMHO, the problem with Rey isn't that she's a Mary Sue, the problem is...
1) Star Wars is supposed to have HERO protagonists, not focus around villains
2) Star Wars is supposed to be a beautiful, wholesome world, where the chicks are pretty and even the villains are wholesome, likeable fantasy characters, while Rey is genuinely unpleasant and horrible and no one can sympathise with her
3) The first movie ended with Han killed and NOT her
4) I didn't watch the other 2 movies but I'm led to believe Rey went on to have a redemption arc and became a 'good guy', but she was too unlikeable in the first place for that to happen. Girls didn't want to be her, and obviously guys hated her because she was a word beginning with the letter b.

Overlord DVD actually made a good point about the Rey movie: As long as they're only making Star Wars content for Disney+ they can hide the viewer numbers. Releasing the Rey movie in theaters would mean they can't hide how few people have seen it or how little money it made. It would also mean showing it to reviewers that don't have early access passes that Disney can revoke if they say say anything bad about the movie.

Disney didn't understand the prophecy, they partially destroyed it in Episode 9 and gave the final blow in the Acolyte. Neither Anakin nor Luke can be considered the chosen one to balance the force because Palpatine was killed by Rey and in the Acolyte we discover that people can be born of the force which was the main requirement to be the chosen one therefore the prophecy cannot be fulfilled nor can there be a chosen one.
And don't make me start on how every fight against a larger ship can be solved by throwing a smaller ship at hyper-speed or how the Jedi now look more like Aang in avatar state or how the rebellion still exists in peacetime or how Rey became the most OP Jedi master in the universe without a single day of training. They don't care about Star Wars lore.

It should be illegal what they're doing. They have a responsibility to the shareholders to turn a profit. They're not even trying!!! How is this not criminal? How can you destroy a successful business and leave it with millions more than you had when you were hired? I'm positive that's what they're doing. That's the only thing that makes sense. Just last night my brother asked his teenage sons a star wars question and they couldn’t answer it because they stopped being fans in about 2017. They grew up as SW fans but stopped watching when as they said, it all became trash. after that we all agreed OG trilogy, the prequels, and rogue one are all you need to watch ever.

"Coyote Vs. Acme", a movie never released. Was actually made. Warner Bros. made the film for $80 million, did not release it, and took a $30 million TAX BREAK as a "business loss".
All the investors in Disney can take tax breaks on losses at Disney if they have structured it right. And with the Carry-Forward IRS tax rule.... a loss in one year can be taken as tax breaks over multiple years.

What’s sad about Disney is the whole thought process. I’m a male that grew up with sisters. I have only daughters. I took them to see the Rey movies hoping to find something we could enjoy together. After the second movie, we were utterly confused & they have never watched the movies again, never been interested in watching any of the shows, never asked for a toy. I, on the other hand, have watched the original & prequel movies, maybe, 100 times & have purchased $10,000 + in Star Wars merchandise since the 80’s. Ok, drive me away & attract a new audience. How’s that working out? My girls aren’t going to be lifelong fans. The original trilogy fans are aging out & the prequel fandom has lost all interest. Smart move Disney. You bought a prize horse, brought it home &, shot it.
