As an ENTJ, I learned at some stage that point #2 (arguing until my last breath) is usually pointless, and there’s more intellectual juice in listening/analyzing the usually ideologically driven arguments from others. I’m often sitting right at the middle, skeptical about the meaning of anything they say unless it makes logical sense. As I said, it’s usually pointless to try to drive ideas across if my argument doesn’t hit home, so I’m only opening my mouth when I know my comments are powerful enough to move the room. Being able to agree with others and communicate effectively is also a mission in my rooster.

Not so sure, Rick... Sounds like an INTJ to me. I'd try to impose my arguments and then resort to losing all hope in the other dude's ability 80% in, at which point he's already mentally dead to me and subclassed as a bug in my head.
      Or perhaps that's just me.

I completely agree. I think developing and overcoming your weaknesses is one of our best trades. I learned as a very young boy most people's brains won't work like mine and thats ok, they just need more explaining en time to show them your vision. Also the social part, I have invested tremendous amount of time in developing those skills and it's save to say that I somewhat overcome the problems we as ENTJ's encounter.
When we put our mind to it there is almost nothing we cannot overcome.

It is definitely not true that ENTJs hate to be wrong; the argument has to be incredibly sound and ENTJs will embrace the opinion. But if the argument is only an opinion and without a heavy basis in fact, the opinion is subject to the acceptance of the ENTJ...and without a good argument it probably won't be.

I just wanna say, as an ENTJ, we don't hate being wrong for the most part. We want to learn. In fact a lot of the habits you point out seem to be so extreme and unhealthy that it's just wrong. Doesn't help that there is already stigma around us when people will say these kinds of things about us like they actually know us.
The way you said everything makes it out like we're awful human beings, which can happen but isn't the case as often. We are argumentative, yes but you completely misunderstood the reason.

You see, most people think their right. Hence, they point a finger at you while pointing 3 back at themselves.
For the record, I have never said such to the other party. I think it's an insecurity issue.

As an ENTJ most of the characteristics are immature ENTJs. A lot of that I can relate with to as at my younger years. Advice to young ENTJs: Don’t expect your quality of work to be other people’s standard. You will be more persuasive when you learn to take yourself out of the equation and see other’s perspective first. (Mandela said his most important leadership quality was to listen and be last to talk) since we are not in the feels department, Learn the neurological reasons for people’s behavior as well as behavior science in general. Puts a logical reasoning for the way they act and makes you more empathetic. Knowing how they tick makes allows you to speak in their “language “ and you can convey a message clearer.

As an ENTJ i can certainly attest to the argumentative trait.... As I've aged i have learned to have fun with it in stead of deadly serious arguing, i now argue for sport and to an extent my own pleasure. I can and have quite literally take any opposing view no matter how twisted and demented or socially unacceptable and give it a damn good push. My friends go insane because i seem to argue my point so passionately that i have them believing i actually believe what I'm saying till they realize I'm toying with them... Yes it's petty, yes some would say a waste of energy but i THRIVE on it. My friends are a bit ticked off when they realize i got them once again but we all laugh in the end.

Question for my fellow ENTJs, he was right on the dot about delusional paranoia. It’s really hard for me to understand why ppl wouldn’t agree with me with actual facts and logic supporting my actions and theories. So I feel like either they’re too slow to understand what I’m explaining(and I’d dumb my explanation down to elementary level sense) or literally don’t want to agree because they have some hate towards me. I feel like it’s ruining my relationships with friends/family because in the back of my mind I find it disrespectful that ppl wouldn’t trust my opinion even though I end up being correct. It feels so much better to avoid ppl who can’t understand simple logic, but I also feel like I’m in the wrong for doing that. At the end of the day maybe I really am delusional and paranoid. But you see what I’m talking about? How can I be delusional when others are literally not applying their common sense? I’m not afraid of swallowing the truth pill, but I can’t see myself being in the wrong in this situation.

      My life exactly.
Eventually, you just need to swallow the need to make everyone see the logic behind our arguments, actions, or advice. Our fault is having the vision to predict the "fuck up" before it ever happens, so we're a type to be hated but thanked eventually waaay down the road, when other types finally connect the dots.
At which point you'll be thanked or resented for being a "know it all". When you realize there's no way to avoid this, you'll trick your urge to transfer logic knowing it's all a waste of time based on how it all ends. ENTJs value time more than being right, so you'll eventually stop an just do you.

I was told by my ISFJ partner that most people just can't visualize what I'm saying, and how I see the world and the unfolding of events. She made me an analogy of us ENTJs trying to explain colors to a daltonic. That made perfect sense to me, and so, it usually makes me just be more compassionate and leave a topic or conversation. I’m definitely an ENTJ. Yes, I enjoy argument and my favorite class was Logic which I excelled at. My father was also the same personality and was a formal debate coach. It’s not that I despise being proven wrong. That would go against my deeply held philosophical values that none of us has the whole truth. I think you’re mixing up ENTJ with narcissism. What I hold true and my ego are NOT the same thing. According to Socrates the more we know, the more we realize we don’t know and intellectual arrogance is not a positive trait. I used to think I knew everything as a teenager and young adult. I’m now in my 40s and enjoy others’ perspectives-if they have a sound argument. Conspiracy theories and things based on hunches don’t cut it. It was by objectively looking at facts that I decided to leave my religion behind (which was something that I was very emotionally attached to and thus reluctant to do). I had to admit I was wrong and go from there. Perhaps maturity plays a role in ENTJs behavior (as others have pointed out here), but I feel the explanation on this point wasn’t clarifying enough.

For instance with all the thinking. If you memorize and try to learn to sing a song. And get on that speed of words. You can then transition from paused in thought to getting into flows of words much easier.

I was laughing through the video cos I see myself in all the habits except #4. Most people don't like change, they want to do things the same way they've been doing them for ages. On the other hand, I want to keep improving the efficiency of our processes, and there's always a more efficient way to do things, which increases productivity. Whenever I bring up an idea that could improve our efficiency, everyone agrees that it's a good plan, but no one wants to implement it because it will take a little extra effort.
My colleagues' lackadaisical attitude towards work frustrates me every day until I had enough and told them, including my manager, that they were very lazy and unproductive. The meeting degenerated into a conflict, and tempers flared uncontrollably. One of my teammates even said, "Gerald, you know you're a very difficult person to work with". You bet!

We DO NOT hate being wrong. We are thankful if someone corrects something we are wrong about. It just doesn’t happen much. And it’s probably another ENTJ if it does. Maybe an INTJ because they are reliably correct and don’t have any reservations telling us we are wrong. We just don’t like people telling us we are wrong when we are not. That happens all the time. But we don’t mind explaining why we are correct. It’s those people that insist they are right when they aren’t that we do not like. Because they wasted our time and energy listening to their crap.

I have lived with many people as groups from all the personality types and even in different countries. The one person I simply couldn’t live with was an ENTJ. The Ns can think outside the box in way that is easier than SS. The Ss though can be brought to see the big picture more. I’m confused as to why you would even continue to talk about it if you don’t plan on taking any action, it makes no sense.
