    Hey brother. Love uour channel. I have a nuanced but important question, but really it could apply to any peptide that's been acetylated. I've asked this question now probably 20 times at depth, no one seems to answer it.
    My question is related to Semax nasal spray, but like I said-could apply to any peptide.
    I'm wanting to know what the difference is between acetylated and non acetylated peptides, especially when it comes to peptide affinity, absorption, and degradation.
    I've only been able to find one video on this topic, which suggests that acetylation might be better, but the video is confusion bc it combines ammidate in the topic. I want to take this peptide long term, so I don't want my body to not respond after long use.
    I found that the non acetylated Semax worked better, but that could be bc of factors. Any education you could offer would be great!

      @DrewTimmermansND  Před měsícem +1

      In general, acetylating peptides improves stability of the peptide (peptides are notoriously unstable) and therefore improving bioavailability.

      @@DrewTimmermansND Sorry for the misspelling. Auto correct sometimes works against me. I already take TRT IM, so I was thinking of just doing it all in one shot. BUT, TRT is in oil base (oil-soluble) if I recall. Now that I think about it, I am not certain if it would be smart to mix.

    For BPC 157 and TB 500 to treat shoulder SLAP tear, can both be infected into stomach once per day? What's the recommended dose for 150 lb male. Thanks

    Hi im a 50 year old male and tore my gastrocnemius playing tennis. This is the second time now in the same place but bigger. I was thinking off trying BPC-157 - Question what would my dosage be? And should i inject it into my calf muscle area?

    • @DrewTimmermansND
      @DrewTimmermansND  Před 5 měsíci

      I'm so sorry to hear that. You should really consider getting PRP injected into the tear.
      As for BPC-157, If you are working with a physician and can get injectable BPC-157 from a compounding pharmacy, then that's great. If you aren't, then we don't recommend the injectable version as this would require you to purchase BPC-157 from a research chemical website and these peptides are commonly contaminated with LPS, a bacterial endotoxin, which can cause really bad side effects. Instead of using injectable, we then recommend using an oral arginate salt. We use the BPC-157 capsules from InfiniWell as they use the arginate salt. If you want a discount code, we have one for our patients on our website regenerativeperformance.com/supplements. Once on that website, click the InfiniWell link, and then choose the product labeled 'BPC-157'. When you hover over the product, you will see it says 'Original Formula' above the ingredient box. This is the version that does not have SNAC, which we find works better.
      The most common starting dose we use with patients is 500mcg, once per day on an empty stomach. The time of day doesn't really matter in our opinion. We normally have patients take BPC-157 for at least a month to determine if they see improvements, but sometimes it takes longer to see effects as tissue healing takes time. We then have patients continue on the BPC-157 for several months, and then we might trial taking them off to see if their symptoms remained improved or if they regress. If they regress, we put them back on it.

    • @DonaldGaron

      @@DrewTimmermansND would the explanation be that the bpc simply accumulates in the body and '' is constantly working '' like a typical medication, for example for the treatment of bipolar disorder, if you take it daily? Basically, if you needed to take it before sleeping to maximize healing, I feel like it would mean the bpc would only have an effect for X hours. So taking it during early in the day would have MUCH LESS of an effect for healing as a consequence

    • @DrewTimmermansND
      @DrewTimmermansND  Před rokem +4

      We actually don't know much about the pharmacokinetics of BPC-157 in the body, just the effects. So an argument could be make for before bed and we would just need larger human studies to know for sure
