I was watching a different video on plating and he was saying that you should plate steel with nickel before the gold to keep the steel from rusting under the gold. Is that true?
Is there any chance you can make a spreadsheet or a paper for the voltages for different metals for the bath plater or do we use the same voltages we did with the brush plater on to the bath plater?

@@GoldPlatingServices can you make a male to female anode extender cords. If we had a tall and skinny tank for the plater solution it would be easy to dunk tank long items but the anodes would not be long eough.
I noticed in your video where you plated the gun slide that you had the final to solutions (nickel strike and gold plate) heated. Could you still gold plate a gun slide using the Universal Kit and this add-on? If so, would it be the same quality plating? Thanks and awesome products!!
I have that plating kit but now I want that extra kit, for example gun parts, I use the cleaner, woods nickel , bright nickel then gold plating.
If I do gun parts doing the same 3 steps you did, will there be rusting?
So which one is to have? I am quite confused. There is that one the brush plating kit and there is the other one bath plating kit . What makes me confused is you are using both , so which are we supposed to choose, I need more information on the kit that you are showing us according tp what is showed, and the price to both kit . Can you do a video on how to Cooper plate aluminum
Omr, Aluminum cannot really be done on a consumer level. It is something that needs to be done on an industrial level, by a trained professional who specializes in plating onto aluminum. We've had a lot of very experienced gold platers give it a shot because they did not take our advice and ended up wasting a bunch of time. You will find resources that claim its easy and all you need to do is copper or nickel plate it, this is NOT true. If you need something that is aluminum plated, send it to a professional plating company and have it Nickel plated. You can then gold plate it once its nickel plated.

The heater will get solutions up to about 135°F, which is sufficient for Rose Gold solution to function optimally.
You should have a separate beaker and anode for each solution you wish to plate with.

Is there a clear coat for gold?
You can apply any sort of clear coat you would like. Typically people do not, but if they do its usually a clear acrylic lacquer.
