  • In this video we are going to learn how to trigger a #powerautomate workflow from a #sharepoint list item. To achieve that we will have to formatt a single line of text type column called "RunFlow" in a way that it shows an envelope icon and allows the user to click it. On click, a side pane will open on the right hand side of the screen and the workflow will then ask the user to enter some data like email address, subject and body. After clicking run flow the workflow will be instantly triggered.
To make the video even more interessting, we will also see how we can get multiple attachments from the list item and send them via email as well.

Subbed! Great video with some really good tips. Having an icon to trigger the Flow in the List itself is nicer than having Flows stuck in the 'automate' button. Some other good tips in here too, you've given me an idea for another project while I was here as a bonus - GGs

Fantastic tutorial, thank you! One issue, I think you mean "Colon" but you say "Semi-Colon." I couldn't be see clearly what was typed in the video, but the colon made more sense and it worked when I used it.

@Enea Liçaj I have created a sharepoint list item which triggered an email to use via power automate flow i created. Now I want to trigger a follow up email on the existing email trail using power automate. Any idea how I can do it?

You can create another flow with needed email trigger that will trigger this new from from incoming emails. You can search for existing Power automate template flows under 'Templated' section, maybe one of them will do exactly what you need or with little modifications.
For example search 'Forward emails to a channel' in template search box and you will see a template to send a teams message when a new email has arrived.

Any idea how this can be applied to only sub folder? I'm and expert in PA so I understand everything there is that the Pa part is doing, but when it comes to sharepoint part I have no idea, I've created all of this but now I have folder structure of Main folder with multiple sub folders and I only want this flow to be triggered from on of the sub folders. Right now all my sub folder and Main folder can see this new column that can trigger my flow. Any tips?

Create a SharePoint view and hide the PA-Trigger column. Only way

I would like to point to a flow in a different environment than Default one.
Where can I set it, cause now it is trying to find the flow in Default env?
