    Will be a great addition to those who are locked into the thrustmaster ecosystem. Thrustmaster in the span of a few years went from the mainstream entry level company, to a nice mid range lineup with their T LCM loadcell pedals, (which are fantastic love mine, huge upgrade from T3PA), to now finally going direct drive. I was worried i would inevidably have to go the fanatec/moza route and sell all my TM gear but TM finaly came through. My T300 is fantastic, but i need a bit more power and something more reliable now.

      @@tehnubrises5533 i wont be getting mine until march so hopefully they have that issue fixed by then. I will make sure to do my research before i pick it up. It seemed like that issue was simply someone at manufacturing was being lazy/forgetful that day and forgot to screw in all the screws lol.

    I can't help but be concerned that so much of the QR is plastic on a DD wheelbase.

    • @MrMikap74
      @MrMikap74 Pƙed rokem

      The clamping system doesn't look very durable either. And the QR adapter still needs a wooden screw. I can't imagine buying this wheelbase if you're not already in the TM ecosystem. And still, most of their wheelrims are just not sturdy enough for 10NM wheelbases. From the reviews I have seen so far the FFB must be great. Very strong and brutal in the extreme setting.

    Looking forward to review. When you get chance could you measure the distance from the back of the base to the face of the rim.....it would be interesting to know how it would fit on my rig as my display is fixed and limits forward movement of any wheel base. I currently have a t300 10mm from the screen.

      @@slaphead90 No, it is t3pm. After t3pa - heaven and earth. Tlсm tried, alien zadrotti tried - I tried a lot of things, as a result I stopped at t3pm. I didn't feel any fundamental difference - moreover, I didn't feel any difference at all. And I spent relatively little money for new pedals.

  • @SteveMacAwesome
    @SteveMacAwesome Pƙed rokem +2

    The thing I'm most concerned with is if the open-wheel and 300mm rims I have can handle the torque. The base might be designed to handle the torque but the rims weren't.
    I also had to send my TS-PC back to Thrustmaster because the part that connects the motor shaft to the "quick release" connector broke away from the shaft, and both rims frequently creak while in use, so I'm going to wait a few months to see if anyone reports any rim failures.

    • @JoseFcoBN
      @JoseFcoBN Pƙed rokem +1

      I don't think the steering wheels have any problems, it worked perfectly for 4 months with the steering wheels that I used in the TGT put in the Moza r9, I changed to the QR D1 spec because of the creaks and play and not because of breaks or anything that was damaged, I continue to use the same ones flyers with a better QR...

    I have a xbox SX and ps5 im wanting to upgrade my thrustmaster TGT2 with this T818 eventually when the console version is available but I am dreading the thought that they are going to make two separate wheel bases for both consoles instead of just the one that plays on both consoles I swear if they do that im moving to fanatec instead. That will really piss me off as i have had to already buy the TGT2 and the TS-XW just to play on both consoles its such a shit thing to make people do thats why I hate logitech who the hell wants to pay $2000 for a wheel that only works on one console than go out and buy another one to play on the other console its such a shit idea

    • @MrMikap74
      @MrMikap74 Pƙed rokem

      To be honest the license to make it PS or XBX compatible is quit expensive, and most people dont have both platforms. They dont want to pay 50 bucks extra for a license they dont have. Logitech and Fanatec have seperate versions also. The smart thing of fanatec is the chip for PS is in the wheelbase, and for XBox in wheel.
