Just got my box a few weeks ago and I am also a new dad. So I can definitely relate with just sinking into the couch and being able to game super quickly. It is so glorious. Not to mention a little puff puff and getting seriously down in the couch and gaming after a long day.

Bought a 3-battery pack of 2550mA included with charger. They last for a long, long time. I love the console and the features. My favorite console ever.

Got mine this week. Last Christmas I was looking for one, couldn't get it. Got a Series S instead. Loved that little trooper! But when I saw the Series X readily available at local retailers, I sold that Puppy to get me my fix.

I’ve always been a PlayStation first as my primary console and then got an Xbox at some point down the line after a couple of years. Stock levels made it hard to get a PS5 during Christmas 2020 and tbh I was thinking of getting the XSX initially anyway. Luckily I managed to find stock of the XSX during this time and from a user/customer experience it’s just been everything you would of wanted from a console/service, and more. I don’t need anything else right now from a system, it just hits all the right notes.
You could have just said ‘I love my xbsx. That would have sufficed.

I’m on the same boat brother with the difference that I was able to get both almost at the same time, always preferred PlayStation but this generation I’m leaning towards the XBX, however get a PS5 when you get the chance Returnal, Spider-Man are amazing and many other upcoming games most notably GOW makes it worthy.

Just got mine this past May and I absolutely love it
I was lucky enough to get the Series X on launch day. I started out playing on a 4k HDR tv, not sure what kind it was. But a 6 months ago I made a lot of upgrades to my setup. I mainly keep it in my home office where it's hooked to an LG C1 and a small LG SPD7Y atmos sounder. I do freelance video editing so the OLED is also calibrated for color grading, but as a casual gamer, 4k Dolby Vision gaming at 120 fps is an amazing experience. But when I have friends over and we just wanna play split screen zombies or Fifa on a big screen, I recently finished up a home theatre setup so it hooks up to a Benq x3000i and a true 5.1.2 atmos surround sound system. No dolby vision or 120 fps, but still HDR at 60 in 4k on 120 inches for any casual gaming or especially single player open world is amazing. I bring all this up because it just feels so nice to have a versatile console that can do all of this. You just plug it in, and its a simple menu system to choose your video and audio settings, no troubleshooting or headaches, just fun. Haven't had this much fun since the 360🔥

My son got me a Series S I owned a one s. The change was beautiful. But I lucked an picked up a Series X Gorgeous on my 4k an surround sound im good don't need another system for a while im still playing around looking at the difference between the two grab any Series you can get you won't be disappointed No mans Sky here i come 😃

Got my series X 3 months after launch unfortunately had to pay resell price..but I paid it with a 1440p 240hz monitor and I absolutely love gaming on it! Great video!
Why buy a reseller XSX to play on a 1440p monitor? I have the XSS and think it would’ve been the better option financially and with your setup. Great consoles tho regardless
@@Mookie908 well I wanted the best of the best from xbox which is the Series X...1440p is a good sweet spot between 1080-4k as you know I'm sure..I wasn't really trippin on the price tag of $500 I waited 3 months after launch because I didn't want to give any scalper or reseller my money..but they never restocked the series x in stores or online so I was forced to pay $650 to a reseller not to bad

I bought my first xbox this gen and I haven't looked back I have my switch for Zelda, my ps5 for exclusives that appeal to me and now the xbox has become my main system I buy all 3rd party on it now all the xbox games coming out, games pass and quick resume are unbelievable makes it very hard to turn my ps5 on.
I have both a ps5 and Xbox and although the exclusives on ps5 are banger, the Xbox quick resume, game pass, and the aesthetic make it on par of PlayStation. I’ve had a few glitches/bugs with my ps5, never with the Xbox. Truly an amazing console.
I really like the green hidden on the top fan of the Series X, a nice little throwback to the green jewel on top on the original Xbox.
It has Dolby Vision Atmos, so does my tv and receiver from Denon, so you can imagine that the quality of sound It's amazing, i've playing ps4 with the same sound system... and it's night and day... when you have all compatible... it's crazy good...
I agree I have an LG oled with Dolby Vision and with a 120hz refresh rate paired with LG 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos soundbar and it is amazing. The Ps5's 3D tempest audio isn't bad either. The Ps5 can run some games at 120fps but with no Dolby Vision

games like Bloodborne, Demons Souls, Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima etc. single handedly destroy whole of game pass.. it's a no brainer.. idk wats about tagging game pass as best.. ppl will say day 1 exclusives but then some smart guy will ask them how many day 1 exclusives did u play since game pass launched.. count on one finger.. umm Halo infinite? that unfinished game must b one of em.. eh yea? 🤔

Great review! I have both as well and really enjoy them. One thing though, I don’t understand why everyone dumps on the Xbox controller for using AA batteries. It’s easy to run a rechargeable battery pack or rechargeable AA batteries. And if the battery pack dies, swap in a new. Easier, cheaper, and much less e-waste than built in batteries.
Granted, it’s not terribly difficult to disassemble a PS5 controller to swap the battery. But most people aren’t going to do that. They are going to throw away the controller and buy a new one.
What is the case for built-in batteries being the better option? What am I missing?

Im In the same place been on PC last 13 years but switched back to console with the series X and love it just more chilled
I have a PC that I bought in 2020 for $800 and honestly every game performs and looks so much better on the XSX for only $500. I switch between my 4k60Hz TV for singleplayer games and my 1080p120Hz monitor for online games. I honestly don't think I will buy a PC ever again.

Mine was very hard to purchase, sold out everywhere, eventually I had go through my phone provider and upgrade my contract which included a series x bundled in, absolutely no regrets best console I've owned so far, the ironic thing is I purchased a PS5 digital day one.

You can use a Micro USB cord for the Series ax controller and plug it into an AC plug, no need for batteries ever.

I've been enjoying both my series x and PS5 as well, I do have a nice 55" 4k tv with HDR but it doesn't have HDMI 2.1 so I play at 4k 60fps which is still fine, i've never had any other controller than the one that comes with the xbox so I would like to see if the one you upgraded to that i've heard a lot about is worth the price to pick up.

This'll be my go to console as well! All I'm getting for PS5 and (maybe) the Nintendo switch, are their console exclusives (Werewolf the Apocalypse Earth blood and Siren Ring are now on series x so I won't play them on PS5) and Nintendo exclusives go with the switch oled. Only a few exceptions like CZcams and Netflix and Fortnite. But Xbox is my future main console for movies media and gaming. Whatever isn't on the system will be on my future ps5 and switch oled. Thanks for the review. I'm getting Assassins Creed Origins Gold Edition first.
just moved to pc from Xbox series x and PS5. I don't think ill ever swap back tbh! I was a console gamer since 2007
PS5 will always make more sense to own regarding consoles as a gaming enthusiasts for the exclusives alone. I prefer PC gaming but if I want to play a console exclusive it would most likely be on PS5. I can currently play the whole Xbox Library of games on my PC while using a controller and TV if I choose to. That takes the whole need of wanting to own a Xbox away for many consumers.
Everyone doesn't feel that way. Series X can play many old 360/OG Xbox games. Some prefer the Xbox ecosystem, I definitely do. I built a PC but I still use my Series X primarily. I'm even considering putting a Series S on my computer monitor.
@Manolo Santiago Xbox is cool but the point I made is I can enjoy the whole Xbox ecosystem on my PC which negates the reason to want to own a Xbox again.
Had the series x and ps5 since day 1 by far the best consoles on the market hands down. No computer is going to change my mind about my gaming consoles.

Got a series s on release amazing console for the price , managed to get a series x about 6 months later and it got rinsed untill I managed to get ps5 a few months ago the controller makes the ps5 so much more connected than Xbox which I'm sad to say as I'm a massive Xbox fan but my x is now gathering dust next to my ps5

I wish xbox would upgrade the recording feature. Last night on ps5 we recorded an hour of 4k gameplay in real time, shared each others screens and had them pinned in the corner.. etc etc. go back to series x and its a minute of blurry footage after the incident. Other than that series X is alright

I'm primarily a pc player i havent played on a console since 3 years ago as the xbox one felt way to slow for my liking however when i got the Xbox Series S it felt life changing over the xbox one being able to quickly load up into games was something i really needed
Right? I actually use my series S A LOT still despite having series x and ps5. It’s such a great little machine. I use it a lot for streaming it’s just so good

For the money these consoles are amazing value. But compared to my pc with Intel 13th gen and a 4090 the gap is massive. Much like the price. Simply put… you can’t get better value for money in gaming, these new consoles are impressive

i love my series x too and also love my PC. i am a more Casual gamer. i am bagging sony for making a slim version of the ps5 cause for me the ps5 looks like a dustcolector and design wise harder to clean. next gen consoles really proofed that more isnt always better.
I respect your opinion but it's honestly inaccurate. The PS5 has been the easiest console to clean this generation. You can literally snap the face plates off to clean the interior better. It's ok to have preferences and favorites but fellas let's atleast be accurate with our bias. My favorite platform to game on is PC. I also have a Switch and PS5.

Been a lifelong Nintendo fan , PlayStation just never caught on for me , then I experienced Xbox 360. Fast forward I’m a proud Nintendo switch /series x owner . Sony has excellent games for sure , but I just prefer the cost friendly approach as a father and husband , gamepass is very easyyyy on my wallet .

I used to use rechargable batteries from the dollar store. They did the job.
Since I bought a four pack or rechargable Panasonic batteries they last longer before running out.
Yeah, I have been using Panasonic Eneloop Pro batteries ever since I bought my Xbox One X back in October 2018 and it feels like it takes ages before I have to recharge them. Best batteries I've ever had by far and the Panasonic charger itself is amazing, since it charges every battery individually! 👍🏻 Now I'm waiting for my Xbox Series X that I ordered yesterday.
My PS5 won’t stay connected online with a LAN cable so I use my Series X much more now I’m having issues

Bro, honest question. When you want to pick up a game, how do you choose what platform to get it on? I have an Xbox, Playstation, PC, and Switch. When something comes out, I struggle to pick where to get it.
Dude, I'm struggling right now. I think it comes down to system features. I"m trying to weigh Modern Warfare II for example but I'm still kinda torn. Played beta on both systems. I preferred the feel of the PS5 Dualsense controller, but at the Same time all my buddies use Discord. So I'm leaning Xbox for MWII release since Discord integration is on Xboxes now. Still unsure though.

Good for you playing MWII on Xbox, having full RGB at 4K/120hz unlike those muted YUV422 colours on PS5 when playing 4K/120hz is an eyesore...
NGL i am trying to concentrate on your Xbox but as i keep seeing your MSI Trident X i just know it blows both consoles out of the water when it comes to raw power as i have the same PC lol.
My Xbox X looks better on my LG OLED TV. I have never felt like any other consoles has been closer to the more expensive PC gaming until this generation. It has been a fantastic two years of gaming due mostly to Game Pass. Both Xbox X and PS5 are looking great and I have no complaints except I wish Nintendo would upgrade to new tech because everything on the Switch is now looking terrible in comparison. That is not fun with Zelda Tears of the Kingdom coming out in May. Unfortunately, Steam Decks don’t sell natively in Australia yet.

honestly I find it hard to justify getting a series X when I have a pc (3080TI) , PS5 and OLED Switch... that's the problem with xbox so long you have a decent gaming PC, it doesn't have the exclusivity you find on Sony games
