Backwards compatibility is what sold me on series x. PlayStation has been hitting it out of the park this generation on first party games. But having one machine running most of my library I’ve spent 20 years acquiring is a big plus.

@@bombyo3634 if backwards compatibility ain't for you, then playstation is your kinda of system. Ps3 and 360 are backwards compatible. Ps2 was with the ps1. Ain't nothing wrong with that.
Backward Compatibility is really the only reason I opted to buy this system. I literally have over 200 games dating back to the original Xbox.
sad is the series x refresh will have no disc drive so this series x will be the last xbox console that you can still play your xbox disc games on. After what happened to some ps customers recently losing their digital movies that they purchased due to a licensing dispute, its all the more reasons to hold onto devices that can support disc media even more now.
@@SteelRhinoXpress That's an unsubstantiated rumor regarding the xbox going discless. They could also go discless and sell the Drive separately. A la PS5 Slim.
@@MrDeathmaster131 the two leaks came from some of the most reliable sources with xbox products. Youre right they could, but i haven't heard anything from those two sources that will be the case. Never the less im keeping my series x and never planning on selling it. Ill wait until the next gen comes out and still have my series x to play my disc games on.

@@SteelRhinoXpress Yea, one they remove the physical drive, I will no longer buy any new systems. Its like they want to force digital media, yet still charge same amount for physical copy when they don't have to manufacture disc, cases, game box art. Its a ripoff.
Microsoft's respect for backwards compatibility, Xbox Play Anywhere, Activision acquisition, console availability, competitive pricing, and Game Pass sold me on the Series X.
Decided to pick up a series X recently as I haven't gamed in about a decade. Walmart online had them on sale for $349 and picked it up at my local store.

Saaame, got the last one on the Walmart app, Diablo IV bundle for $350. Saw the price and thought it had to be BS or used/refurbished, but it's new! Cheapest price for new I have seen yet. Especially considering the bundle edition with a new game is almost $100 cheaper than buying the console by itself. Weird.
I haven't had an Xbox since the 360 days. But I'm planning on getting a Series X to go with my PS5 soon. Gamepass is the biggest selling point for me.
i haven’t had an xbox since the 2001 original 🥲 and there are some old games i’d like to revisit like fuzion frenzy, some nfsu and would like to explore many more games with game pass but know nothing about it since i haven’t really gamed since i was 13. i’m 31 now 🥲
is game pass supposed to be a monthly subscription? and if so, how much? i do have a ps4 pro (in white) that has collected dust since like 2017 lol
@@dino91001to me game pass ultimate is definitely worth it it's a monthly subscription, the price is dependent on where you live, here in the UK it's £12.99 a month, with that you get so many free games a month, cloud gaming and price reductions on certain games, I really wouldn't be without gamepas now
Just got an Xbox series X for joining Verizon (because they ran out of Series S).Also two $200 Amazon gift cards, a ethernet adapter, $50 Xbox egift card, $50 Verizon gift card, $75 in World of Tanks and $75 in world of ships in game purchase credit. They also give you a free wifi extender with two Lan connections. I know this sounds crazy I didn't believe it myself but I've already redeemed the gift cards and the Xbox.😮

just played MW3 on my new series X for the first time. Set the fps to 120 on 1080p. (My 4k tv wont support 120hz at 4k) This has changed my gaming life. Ive been an Xboxer since day one. This, is a very powerful machine.
Your tv prolly has a 60hz panel, switch back to the upscaled 4k

Bro. I promise you. Go buy an OLED 4k for XSX. Doesn't need to be 120hz man. Also CoD is lying. Console isn't actually pumping out 120fps in CoD. Bs lies it is. Halo Infinite multi-player is locked at 60fps on console even on XSX no matter what. Pretty much what I am getting at is anything 120fps on Xbox is bs. 😅
Some new gen XSX games maybe have 120fps for Campaigns. I think Halo Infinite Campaign can do 120fps but multi-player. Nope. Pretty much every multi-player game on XSX doesn't actually do 120fps because Series S, Xbox One or One X and Playstation in cross plat games would have a disadvantage. As for pc. Well. Alot of console players hate pc players for a reason. 😅
Keyboard and mouse along with real 120fps. Gets to me sometimes. 😅
Oh but the OLED part. Games looks so freaking got damn good on an OLED 4k man. Blows the mind away a bit and yes. Even Starfield looks absolutely gorgeous.

I’ve always been a ps fan starting from the one until the ps 5. I will be picking up a series x in the next couple of wks. I see some great things coming from Xbox. And I want to be there when it starts. I like the advantage of having both consoles.
They’ll have a new pro console before they even think of making a AAA game that’s not halo or gears
Buy a pc instead. It'll play everything the xbox can but alot better. Trust me from experience. You can get gamepass on the pc and still have those day 1 releases

I got mine after years of not gaming. Not a single regret. So worth it. I got the 2TB storage expansion for 300 dollars. An extra controller. And a headset. About 1,000 in total. I got it in August of 2022. I hear that the next console comes out in November 2028. So by the time I can get my hands on it will probably be 2030 because even when i got it a year and a half later, only 1 store had it around me. I couldnt find it. So 1,000 dollars over the course of 8yrs is a hell of a bargain. Thats like 30 dollars a month when you include gamepass and online. Great deal.
I want to play spiderman so bad but i cant justify buying a PS5 just to play spiderman.
I have a switch but it kind of sits there. With games and everything i probably spent 700-800 dollars. I dont necessarily regret buying it but definitely not my wisest purchase.
But if youre deciding between the X and the S, go with the X. Yes, youll save 200 dollars but youll get a higher powered machine with double the amount of space. 1TB goes fast, 500GB will be filled up before you know it. By the time you add another 500GB to match the X, youll pay nearly the same price. Except now you have digital only not in 4k
Currently having a PS4. As far as GOW, Last of Us Part 1 and 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Forbidden West I am currently playing all of those games on the 4. BW Compatibility, GamePass, and that Recent Activision/Blizzard purchase is what got me sold on this New Gen Xbox. I want one.
You wont regret the purchase, it’s an amazing value for the money.

Needed it for all these amazing games. This console is legit going to be around for 10 years should I wait and year or two for the price to go down?
I just unplugged my ps4 bo3 edition (2015) got a x series for Xmas. I do not miss my ps4 sounding like a plane taxi'n the runway prior to take off. especially during warzone. thick ps4 was stugglin😂😂

After buying the one x, i was happy i can play my games without the system getting loud, one x does a great job with noise, and what the system has delivered with backwards compatibility is a huge plus for me. Series x is a awesome system and don't regret not having one on my shelf. If Microsoft would bring back the Fable franchise would be a done deal for me... I look foward to add a series s in the near future, for on the go system.
The fact that future consoles won’t have a disc drive means this will likely be my forever console, as long as it keeps working. We’ve essentially hit the peak.
I also wanted to ask if I have to buy extra controllers or does it come with one, also can I get a Wheel and pedals for it or no?
Can I also ask what's with the controller batteries, how to charge them or do I have to buy new one every time (haven't owned a Xbox ever b4)

I just switched from PS4 to XBox Series X I’m excited to know I can play xbox360 games but overall I’m excited there game pass is way cheaper then ps plus now 60$+tax compared to 80$+tax is a win
I am leaning towards an XSX...do not have a current gen console. I wanted a PS5 but there simply aren't enough exclusives out for it. Not many for XSX either but I like the backwards compatibility wich is more extensive. Xbox has so many great games from its past. I of course an Xbox original fan and supported Xbox until the one...then my loyalty wavered with all the errors MS made with its launch...but I've been missing Xbox games lately and want to get back into it.
get ps5, trust me. god of war is worth it alone, but you don’t wanna miss out on games like ghost of tsushima, spider man, returnal, and the horizon series. i have both consoles and i don’t even touch my xbox

I think the X is especially appealing to older gamers who amassed a large collection of OG & 360 games. It's really nice being able to carry some of that over, with increased resolution and FPS in many cases.

Honestly it's the best gaming console of all time. The fact that you can play all other consoles except for Switch, Wii U, PS4, PS5 and PS3 makes it the obvious choice.

Manny, you said you can use quick resume with up to 3 games simultaneously. That's not right because I have 6 games on quick resume right now and I'm going to see how many more I can do. It depends on the games.

I have a Series S but the black Friday deal is tempting me. It's 350 with Diablo. My local library has games so I would have access to so many games.
I'm happy with my S otherwise. So conflicted. (I don't have a 4k display so that isn't that important)
That is my exact situation. This is how I looked at it. My series s could be sold for around $200. Another 512 storage would cost $70. The game code could be sold for $30. Total around $300. So I would be upgrading to the better model that has a disc drive for about $50. The disc drive alone probably worth the $50.
I think it's worth it. My series x should be arriving today.
Edit: game code can not actually be sold. It's tied to the console and not an actual code. Had no idea, but I still think it's worth it.

I’m lucky and thankful that I have both consoles and I recently acquired the Xbox series x for a good deal and I must admit game pass is great value and I miss Gears of War so glad I purchased it !!
I bought a first gen OG Xbox when they first came out and havnt owned one since. Owned PlayStations since they first released, as well. Recently wanted to try out the Xbox all these years later and honestly my ps5 has just been sitting there. Sure, Sony has a lot of great single player epic games but there’s really nothing there to keep my attention and I also don’t have hours to sink into these games to only progress 1-2%. Also, I decided to look elsewhere when Sony jacked up their PS Plus costs. The value just isn’t there for me at all. The Xbox X has been a pleasant surprise and the game pass is an incredible deal. Certainly blows out Sony’s offerings. I’m also comparing games that I owned on ps5 and I’m finding some games on the Xbox x to be better in details, gameplay, etc (battlefield 2042 is a great example. More details in graphics and explosions, fires, etc. smoother action too). I’m still trying to learn about what direction Microsoft is taking the Xbox and it seems to be pretty exciting.
Ive had mine since August of 2022. Just recently stopped turning on, getting it repaired right now, hopefully just a dead power supply. I know this issue isnt too common though, only found 2 or 3 videos with the same issue
for extra storage i just got a seagate 2tb xbox game drive and i just put optimised for series x on the console n the rest on expansion drive n in the event of not enough room on console i just swap from console to drive (takes couple seconds) n vice versa 🎉

Also like 30+ Xbox 360 games are FPS boosted to 60fps+

Is the seagate hardrive that you showed the only one that works or are there other types of the same brand that works? Ive bever had a console so this is all new to me.
So there is another brand that works, it was initially only Seagate but now you can also purchase a hard-drive from western digital

@@MannyRataul WD just released their version of the expansion memory card, it's a bit cheaper than Seagates. Doesn't have a 2TB version yet though.

Buy now! The new version that's maybe coming later this year is not going to be an important upgrade. The next gen Xbox is probably not coming before 2028.

I've never had an XBox, but I have had every Play Station up to my PS4 Pro. I even had the PS2 modem. I really don't know which to get. I'm not a huge PS exclusive person, but I like Blood Bourne and From Software. I am a fan of Bethesda and Obsidian, too, though. Difficult decision. XBox Series X does look tempting.
Most of the game developers you like seem to be on Xbox as well. If you feel like living a little outside of your past PlayStation experiences then get the XSX. It’s a winner!
My recommandation is give it a try. I mean a little change from time to time won't hurt.
And like the previous comment said, it seems that most of the games that you're interested in are on xbox.
To help you a little bit. I myself have switched from xbox to PS5 because most of the games i'm interested in are on that console. And after being with xbox for 10 years i wanted something new.
Do your research and remember what is most important are the games that you know you will have the most fun with. + you'll get to experience retro gaming quick resume and so much more. Whatever console you take, you will have a descent experience.

GTA 5 has a X/S version with performance mode(60fps) if u didn't know. It's the way to go until GTA6.

Yes they are, textures look better and the gameplay is smoother.
If you don’t already have a PS five, the PS five is a much better console because of the quality of games. Even PlayStation plus extra has better games in their subscription service. And PlayStation plus members get a 55% discount on games and PlayStation always has sales.
I have a PS5 & Series X. After I played Halo and Forza a few days each when they released, the X only gets used for Netflix and Disney+ 😅

Wouldn't mind trying a ps5 this generation... But I wouldn't be able to use my old games, controllers, game pass etc... so I would've bought a more expensive box without games and accessories... Not worth it for me... Especially since I have a gaming PC, too
Well, I don't play games on the Xbox Serious x. But I used it as an entertainment media player. Such as movies I'm not a gamer
I had a choice between PS5 and XSX as both were in stock for the holidays. I went with the PS5 because I never owned a PS4 and I have yet to see a compelling reason from Microsoft to buy their system. Their first party games, besides maybe HiFi Rush are not my thing and a lot of them have launched in a buggy unfinished state. If Microsoft is comfortable putting their logo on such games, it says a lot about their QC. As far as 3rd parties are concerned, PS5 will always be the lead platform since it has a higher market share. And I haven’t see the XSX show off its superior specs yet in any games that matter to me.
Besides these considerations, the PS5 controller also is more appealing because it’s something new. The adaptive triggers and haptics are something I have never seen anywhere else and when done correctly, are absolutely phenomenal experience. I have not faced any battery issues so far but I have heard others complain, so it seems like an issue with Sony controllers. Maybe they have fixed it in their recent controllers.
I just wish Microsoft focused on their games and experiences more. The gamepass is the only thing that seems appealing but I care more about physical games and besides, PS Plus also has services similar to gamepass. I don’t like the idea of perpetually keep paying for games. I’d rather buy the games I want to play and be done with it.
I just bought one as my Xbox one died. The series X is great, but to gt the best out of it you need a new TV that has 4k etc to make it worth it. I do not have a modern TV so it is like an ordinary Xbox.

You won’t be able to play all titles through cloud alone btw. Getting a Series X is definitely the best and complete Xbox experience - or even a Series S if on a budget.

Even after 3 years you'd be very hard pressed to build a gaming pc that can match the series x for the same price.
A comparable GPU alone is going to be $500+
It’s very hard to get better value for gaming than a next gen console. Gpu, cpu, motherboard and ram can get very expensive and those aren’t even all the critical components.
I own a Series X it is a great console , but it is not worth buying unless you have a big library of backwards compatible games you want to play. Now that they are releasing some of their games and rumors more will be released multi-platform backwards compatability would be the main reason. Until they start releasing more games why buy one you can wait a couple years and buy something then. I have a Switch and PS5 and I find myself playing those more often than my Xbox. Also the mixed messages Microsoft is signaling is another reason to hold off as they do not seem to have a vision for where they want to go with Xbox. I would not recommend buying one and it is a great console, but the game choices are not that good so 3rd party and backwards games are where it shines. I do prefer the Xbox controller over dual sense, but the PS5 has been better IMO:P
Series X for $349
I literally got mine on day 1 after pre ordering it. After 3 years of continuous playing and sometimes playing non stop for 2-3 days straight, I decided to sell it and buy a new one from Microsoft on Black Friday!
I bought a Series S at launch because I couldn't afford the Series X. 3 years in, and I was completely satisfied. About a week ago, walmart had a promotion on the Series X for $350 U.S.D. My wife scooped me one up, and it was the Diablo 4 edition. I'm amazed at how amazing some of my games look. The resolution and frame rate on games like Diablo 2 Resurrected and Remnant 2 are very nice (considering neither one of those games are properly optimized, lol). I'm very impressed. If you have a Series S and are sick of the 30fps locks on some games or the subpar 1080p on some 60fps games, I would definitely urge you to grab a Series X if you have the extra cash.

In My Opinion it's not worth it buying a Xbox Series X.
The Series S or Xbox One X is the better buy as you can still play 1440p 120hz or 100hz on Xbox One X you just need to disable freesync on xbox and the monitor.
with rtx 4080 sitting at 800 bux i may just upgrade my old xbox.
It's equivalent to a 3070 RTX so yeah it's not going anywhere anytime soon.

I've been using my Ps4 for years and it's like a damn air port and it keeps over heating so quickly, and I always wanted to play Forza Horizon games anyways so I might just buy me the Xbox X series, only problem is, I don't have friends and or friends who own XBox's

I have one and it mostly collects dust. PS5 not only is better but the bottom line is that it has better games.

Ps5 controller thumb stick placement is terrible. You gotta have small hands for it to work comfortably. Xbox controller is perfect design.

Trashed is an over exaggeration, I own both the PS5 and the Xbox Series X and in my opinion I find myself playing it much more frequent. Obviously not everyone is going to feel the same way

@@JonTalksEverythingPodcasteveryone has their preferences! There are games that I love for PS5 like God of War and Final Fantasy 7 and I still find myself playing it time to time. The xbox on the other hand makes it easier for me to game with my PC and Xbox using one GamePass membership so overall I just play it much more often. Thanks for watching the video btw!

Please elaborate all of the terrible things about the series x? Last I checked you can’t even stand a ps5 up or the Liquid Metal will pool to one side of the cpu and cause over heating issues. It’s a poorly designed console.
I do prefer the PS5 for exclusives and dual sense controllers. Xbox is good because of game pass and backwards compatibility. However, PS4 has a massive library so it's no slouch, and they all work that I've seen. Xbox has a lot of backwards compatibility issues still. One more trade off is that the expandable storage cards are MUCH more expensive on Xbox. An m.2 ssd is insanely easy to install, it's not like you have to open the console, you just take off a cover plate and screw one screw in. You also can expand up to 4tb on PS5. Can't do that on Xbox. Both are great just giving some more perspective I didn't hear mentioned
I do not know why Microsoft does not make xbox X to be able to use PC type flight controllers with it. Why even buy it when it lacks flight and driving sim controllers. Sounds better just to buy a good ASUS gaming laptop for a gaming setup and hook it up to your TV for display with a gaming chair, seems to give you way more options for controllers using this with game pass. WAKE UP MICROSOFT and start making more sim controllers to work with Xbox X or just stop making and selling your Xbox's.
You can use driving sim controllers i don’t know what you’re talking about. An Asus Gaming laptop is also 3 times the price of the Xbox so obviously its not the best option for everyone
I understand your point was you can only play PS4 discs on the PS5 however , Sony has made a vast amount of ps3 and older playable through PSN plus service. If someone watching your video isn’t educated on this , your point can be misleading.
You cannot play PS3 discs on the PS5 and you require a subscription to play those games, you DO NOT need that for the Xbox Series X as all games are natively supported without having the need to pay for a subscription. BIG difference
