P.S. If you decide to purchase items listed above through my links I do get a kick back but at no additional cost to you.
I'm a Playstation guy but I have to say both the X and S are solid. For the money the S is hard to ignore, makes next gen gaming more accessible.
Just the fact that its all digital ruins it for me
@@bananamanpleasejustgivemeit yeah for me personally that's also an issue. But most gamers I know buy the digital ps5 anyway so I think for most they don't care. Personally always love physical copies though.
There is a point to buying the series x as a PlayStation user because you can buy older Xbox physical games for cheaper, you can play older games with backwards compatibility. The PS5 doesn't have, unless if you PS Premium and its only select games. The Series S could just be used for Xbox exclusives. @@bananamanpleasejustgivemeit
@@bananamanpleasejustgivemeitfr I’d probably buy a Series S if it came with a disc drive like Series X and if it stayed it that £249 price tbh
@@tom.preedy They would sell so much more because most Xbox users have a lot of discs and want the cheaper option
I seen lot of reviews but this the best thanks homie
this is a better video then the one i watched with this old guy, actually talks about everything not just it being cheap and the s being the future.
I will chime in with some advice for the following scenario which seems to be very common: what to do if you have around 500-600$ and you are split on which one to get. In this scenario, I would say there are two options. If you have that kind of money and you are very hesitant, it's obvious that for you, 4K gaming isn't gonna be a deal breaker even if you would enjoy having it. However if you don't already have a 4K TV, then you are gonna have to spend a significant sum of extra money just to get one. So with that in mind I would heavily suggest to just get the S and save yourself some money. It's not like the S is this huge downgrade in terms of graphics. Yeah the X looks quite a bit more crisp and clean on a 4K TV, but the S looks okay and will definitely get the job done. And like I said, if you are hesitant then you probably don't care about 4K THAT much. So just get the S and Game Pass and start playing, you'll have a good time. If you do already own a 4K TV, then obviously just get the X since your setup is ideal for it. The thing I would advise to keep in mind the most is the storage. On the X it's around 850 GB but on the S it's 350 GB. So unless you wanna get external memory or the expansion card, you will need to learn how to manage your space if you get an S. I struggled at first but I learned how to handle it and now I'm good. But if you want, you can just get the S and with the leftover cash you will still have enough to get the official expansion card which is expensive yes but if you find a good deal on it, it'll be totally worth it just for the ease of access. You just plug it in and you're good. No unscrewing panels and whatnot. Fyi I was in a similar boat, stuck between getting and X or S. But I did some research and realized since I have only a 1080p TV and a 4K would be too much for me, the S would be perfectly fine because I am noy that picky about graphics. And yes it was and still is totally great for me. I love my S and I use it everyday. Game Pass is great too. No complaints from me.
Thanks brodie
I know it'san upscaled 4k uhd option on series s but it looks pretty good on my 4k 60 fps tv. Much better than on a 1080 tv. I already bought an expansion card. I am on the fence of getting an X but I don't know if I really need to.
I become super casual and sold my x and pc with 6950xt and just use series s and it’s more than enough.my tv does such amazing job upscaling 1080p still looks really good plus series s is really small so it’s very easy to travel with
Series X was the obvious choice for me. Everything the Series S offers but with more power, storage, and a disc drive for my legacy physical games.
Great video 👏
I plan on buying the series S. I haven’t gamed since early Xbox 360 so I don’t need fancy graphics or speeds. The price point being £250 for the console with 3 months game pass was hard for me to ignore, I’m happy Xbox is trying to remove the entry barrier for newer gaming.
I bought the series x for 350 new during holidays and it's well worth the price. It's built really well and quiet. I'm playing on a 1400p monitor but that doesn't bother me at all because I always choose performance in games, and in performance mode you're not getting 4k anyways, usually it's dynamic 1400-1800p if not less, of course depends on game.
Exactly. I always play on performance mode for all my games and I would rather have a monitor that’s 1440p with a high refresh rate than go for a 4k monitor and be restricted to 60hz. A 1440p 120+ hz monitor is the best sweet spot for the series X unless you want to break the bank and get a 4k 120hz tv or monitor, which is useless anyway as 99% of games can’t even run at that resolution and fps
I don't really have internet I may not have a choice but to go with the series x for the Xbox because you have to have internet to download digital games
I recommend xbox series x the xbox series s is having issues playing games like baudler gate 3 and coral island crashimg all the time tjey ay fine on xbox series x.
Is the series s could upscale 1440p to 4k
Its quite hard to pick any platform and their options. They're all still way too expensive, and over here, they still cost the same as when the current generation of Xbox and PlayStation launched. Best I can do is dream about owning one
I’m wanting to play madden and other sports games with my friends and the occasional Xbox first party game which one should I get that new 1TB S is tempting me atm
ngl same bro
same bro, im trying not to waste my savings but im loosing the fight
I got both PS5 and the Xbox series X they are both great consoles
Same
Hello, I had a question. I want to buy an Xbox Series X. Do you think I should buy the disc-drive model or wait for the digital Xbox Series X to come? Please help me. Thank you. 🙏🙏♥️
Diec version.
Xbox X was the go to for me after realizing the X can run Baldurs Gate 3 features while the S cannot. I believe this will be the first for many games, splitting the X and S apart
I got the x series love it
I already have a ps5 and I don’t have any physical xbox disc so Series S seems like the smart choice. I do like how series X looks tho
Been thinking the same. Target is having a banging deal on the S right now.
@@gimpster69? Where mine says there’s no sale at all lol
Better story driven games on ps5.
I have a question, I'm considering changing from PS 4 Pro to Xbox Seire S, and I'm wondering if it's a good change or if i should stay with my ps 4 pro ?
Different selection of games altogether, but the Series S will allow you to play newer releases where Sony will eventually stop making games for the ps4
I went from a ps4 pro to an S. My ps4 pro has been collecting dust. Not that it's much more powerful or look much better but games run a little smoother especially racing games. Quick resume is cool feature and the loading times are so much better on the S.
I play on PC but want to get an xbox just for NBA2k. My monitor i think caps at 1440p so im thinking an S. What do yall think?
Defo get a Series S. You'll be wasting money and losing potential if you get a Series X with only max 1440p.
Can I play 120 fps 1080p on the series x for maximum performance and low input delay?
Yes
If you have alot of games on disc, go with the X. Otherwise get the new S with 850 gb of storage
Well for me ill just go with series x more future proof plus the power remember we are getting gta 6
GTA 6 will still look very good on the series s even though it's not 4k
I wonder why Sony didn’t make a ps5 equivalent to the series s
How can you play games on both consoles if series X uses discs and series S uses digital downloads?
The series X also can play digital games.
I got both. I travel a lot for work and I bring the series s with me. It’s small and packs very nicely.
Would you be open to giving away one of them?
Buy the Xbox series X
Impressive how content creators always forget to mention Microsoft sells an official rechargeable batterie for Xbox controllers for $20
Rechargeable Double A batteries are cheaper and more versatile
Wouldn't buy either after playing on Xbox. Nothing works offline to much hassle switching consoles. That home Xbox sucks.
I dont know what you’re talking about but both mine work just fine offline 😂😂😂
@MannyRataul I've been playing on Xbox the last 6 years what a horrible experience.
Ive looked online, at gameplay, ive talked to my friends about it, they are all saying that the series x and series s can both reach 120 fps stable, by saying the series s maxes at 60 did you mean that the xbox one s gets 60 or the xbox series s?
The Xbox Series S can only do 60fps MAX at 1440p for select titles. Most games do not run at 120fps on lower resolutions on the Series S
@@MannyRataul ooooh, ty
Xbox is definitely better than PlayStation, whether it’s SX or SS, Just being able to swap between 6 games in the matter of seconds and game pass is enough to put it in the lead I think.
Not too mention forza horizon.
I still love using my PS5 and I can say it definitely has advantages over the Xbox, especially with in-game load times with faster SSD speeds. It all comes down to personal preference.
Google Series S native 4k games and you'll get a few titles that do. Ori is one of them, 4k/60 native. Please stop stressing Series S can only do up to 1440p. By logic, if the Series S cannot go over 1440p, there's no reason for MS to put an HDMI 2.1 port on the system. The Series S is capable of native 4k/120hz just like the X. It all depends on the type of game and if the devs choose to use it
you can’t play any games at 4k 120fps on the xbox series s only on xbox series x and ps5
Exceptions are not the rule. The Series S cannot play a majority of titles in 4K 60fps-120fps and the only exceptions are Indie games there are no AA-AAA exceptions
I'm not disagreeing with you guys. Just pointing out this video claims the Series S can't go over 1440p is false.
@@PushStart_YT when can the series s go over 1440p?
@@Arretez not often but there are Ori Will of the Wisps 4k/60, Crysis Remastered 4k/30, and a few others.
The new genz Xbox in 2026 probably be the best console, only 2 years away
Series S has outsold X 3 to 1
I heard that too
probably because of the price difference, most people think the only difference is the disc, and that it adds 2 hundred pounds to the cost
