Excellent video as always, and great points made. I will say though, that Alvarez did look overwhelmed by the magnitude of the spectacle at MSG, before the fight began. The nervous shaking of his head and hands, and running around the ring looked more like a guy who never imagined himself on such a big stage, suddenly getting the spotlight. Mcgregor, on the other hand, looked like he was on vacation, just totally relaxed and taking it all in. Mcgregor has a script, and a map in his head, for his whole career, which is what makes him so different. His opponents WANT what he's created, but don't NEED it like he does, which makes them succeeding on his level unlikely. Love your stuff! Keep making videos!

I totally disagree about Eddie's comment about Conors girlfriend, it wasnt confidence it came across as pathetic and immature as fuck, it might have worked if his delivery was good but it wasnt, it went down like a lead balloon, the audience didnt react and neither did Conor, it was actually fucking embarrassing.
I don't think that the trash talk really back fired because even without it the result likely would have been exactly the same so he may as well do it on the off chance that it gave him an edge.

He doesn't even look at his opponent when they touch gloves, never takes his eyes off the floor, but it's hard to argue Conor hadn't gotten under his skin beforehand.
Great channel and good take on "the fight before the fight". I'd have to disagree with the Aldo analysis though. His body language is pretty much the same in every single one of his fights: eyes on the ground, looking like a shy little boy, before going bananas when the bell rings. It's hard to factor in the mental aspect when the first punch of the fight turns out to be the last, but -if anything- he got caught for being overly agressive. Hard to argue he was mentally defeated, but I can agree he was too invested and careless.
I think a lot of people downplay Conor's ability to read into weaknesses, how he manages, time and time again, to call what's going to get his opponent into trouble. You see in his training he puts some real focus on specific counters, and then he executes them perfectly in the fight. This would aid short-notice fighters, also.

I felt that Eddie was also broken in the fight with Conor. Some people react differently to pressure, and it seemed to me like Eddie's response was to shake it off and pump himself up. I felt the same way about Cormier when he fought Jones, although Cormier was able to deal with the head games pretty well, I believe it still had an effect on the fight. PS: I'm not saying Cormier or Eddie would have won.
