Thanks for the information I eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, grains, flaxseed and fish and every time I do blood work and go back to see my doctor and he still tells me that my cholesterol is still high so I need help.
Gratitude for the information. I'm here because none of my doctors have recommended any methods to lower cholestrol unless it was by way of meds. It's their greed. They want us to continue to mask syntomps to keep us coming back rather than us being healed. I decided to search for healthier methods to get off synthetic temporary methods .
Glad it was helpful! Medical Doctors are trained in medicine so they are taught to prescribe medications. Your best bet when looking for whole food ways to heal the body and reverse conditions is to work with a registered dietitian nutritionist. Glad you found my channel! Welcome to the community!
@@nourishcenter ok thanks you 💕
Thnks
Right and I told my Doc about using natural alternatives because the meds either didn't work or cause issues themselves. Like statins make my body ache. I eat Greek yogurt and fermented foods for acid reflux. The meds didn't work but eating yogurt and sauerkraut works fantastically!!!
I agree with you. Drs are tripping with these meds.
Thank you so much, very informative!❤

Hi. Plze provide natural remedies for hives. Thank you
Amazing helpful video. Thank you for sharing. Supplements are super expensive. It costs so much to live a well nourished life! It's sad. But I appreciate your info.
It can definitely be an investment! That’s why I emphasize a foods first approach. Purchasing budget friendly items like oats, apples, green leafy vegetables, will be way more affordable than buying a supplement. However, I know that some people still are interested in supplements and that’s why in our Nourish Program we give all members 15% off supplements EVERY time they purchase to help lighten the load. Nonetheless, this is helpful comment, and I do hope to make budget-friendly recipe videos in the future to help with this financial determinants to health ❤🎉.
All of my cholesterol is perfect except for my LDL, which is about 90 points too high. I'm getting ready to have it tested again to see if it's changed from last year. I've been supplementing with many of these you mentioned, plus citrus bergamot and policosanol.
Best of luck! Be sure to also keep your saturated fat intake less than 10% of your calories, and fiber between 25-35 grams. Best of luck!! :)
Thank you! I must lower my cholesterol, and I am afraid of the medication. 😢
You can do it! Be sure to check out all of my previous videos on how to lower cholesterol naturally without medication, and consult with your doctor before trying anything you see so that he/she can provide personalized recommendations ! :D
Thank you!
Doctor will always recommend statins for cholesterol..
Me too my doctor gave me a statin I refuse to take it I’m a women in my late 40s going through menopause my body is going through significant changes so I started intermittent fasting eating a Clive of garlic a day eating salads asparagus fish grilled chicken avocados olive oil and cut back on fast food and sugar my main objective is to lose weight I work out 4-5 days a week I do strength training and started eating organic red cabbage as well I believe we have the power to heal ourselves by what we choose to put in our body it’s a process but let’s see
@@mzyouknowit8024 I was prescribed a statin also and refused . It gave me v&d. Then an alt otc which was too expensive, $38 a month. I can't do that one either.
Very educational. Where can one find the plantago ovata from?
Glad you found it helpful! You can find psyllium husk at your local health food store or online from a credible seller. :)
Hypercholesterolemia is totally harsh even having had for many year's an excellent diet!

Hello. I enjoyed your video. My cholesterol is high, and am taking red yeast rice everyday. Let me know what you think? Keep up great work. Just joined your team 😅.

My cholesterol tends to creep up on me due to hereditary. My diet is clean, I exercise regularly yet this is something I struggle with. What recommendations do you have ?
This can definitely be happen! No dietitian on the internet should tell you what to do without doing a personalized assessment in scenarios like these. If you have insurance, check to see if you can work with a dietitian. Oftentimes it's 100% covered with no out-of-pocket costs! All the best!
Appreciate your feedback !
Thank u
No problem
Nice information thanks, apart from these take fiber rich food like cucumber, apple, lentils ( dals with skin) like full black or white grams Moong, Red beans White beans
Absolutely! In one of my other videos I talk all about fiber. It’s so important and most people aren’t getting enough 🥲
@@nourishcenter ji thanks one can take flaxseeds , chia seeds & sprouts,as they have good quantity of fiber in it
Is policosanol a good supplement to take along with everything you mentioned above?
I would consult with your doctor regarding this question 😊
thanks

🎀. THANK YOU FROM WYNWOOD MIAMI 🎀
You are very welcome my friend!
I haven't finished watching your video yet but I want to ask you: these recommendations (which I agree with and I am a firm believer in health through food and exercise before meds) would be for a 'normal' high cholesterol situation, but what about like in my case, it came about because of menopause? How do these recommendations work when estrogen is about absent? I used for a little while the patch (HRT) but my obgyn said it would not really help with cholesterol, so no help there. Your opinion? Thank you.
Thank you for your question! Menopause can affect cholesterol due to lower estrogen levels. While HRT may not help with cholesterol, focusing on a heart-healthy diet, regular exercise, and managing stress can still make a big difference. Discuss these with your healthcare provider for personalized advice. Thanks for watching!
Where can i get in Gauteng
Please for some of us supplements are easier to get than the foods
How can I prevent body itching after taking Niacin ??
This is very common! You may have to decrease the dosage but please consult with your doctor about this question so they can provide you with personalized recommendations! Sometimes niacin is t a good option for SOME individuals. Hope this helps! 😊
In no way shape or form am I a physician. Also, I have no ties commercially with ANY supplements..
Not saying this will work for EVERYONE, all I can speak on is myself..
For a whole month(30 days), I took a supplement called Cholesterol Health. Bought it on Amazon..
**>[Once again...These are MY FINDINGS...]
Thanks for sharing! What did the supplement ingredients say? It might have had some compounds in it that help to lower cholesterol 😊 (I.e fiber, plant stanols/sterols, etc.)
@@nourishcenter Niacin, Chromium, Red Yeast Rice, Garlic, CoQ10
@@JP3-HTTR2144 thanks for sharing! Yes, there is some research to support that each one of these ingredients may lower cholesterol. Glad you found something that worked for you and thanks for sharing!

Interesting
Good presentation. I have tried all these but still have high cholesterol.
What supplement would you try to lower high cholesterol and why?

Thank you so much for your information, I have been taking Atorvastatins for quite a long time and recently went up from 40g to 60g and now, about 3 weeks after they were raised I am now supposed to be taking 80g and I am not happy. I wasn’t explained in the 1st place that I could try lowering my cholesterol using food but I know why that was, the people that provide medication for almost everything our own body should be supplying is worth multi billions- and it’s their sheer greed that they want to fill us full of chemicals and poison our body, so I am currently having nuts in my life plan and chia seeds, 5g on my breakfast cereal and I drink about 3 litres of water a day, maybe more. I haven’t tried seeds yet but I will be having those next time I go shopping. I don’t have any faith in my doctors here in the UK. They just seem as tho when you go to see them, they’re too ready to throw more pills at you which in my opinion is wrong, it’s like putting a band aid on everything but not getting to the root of what’s really going on with your body. It’s not even my gp who changes or adds to my meds, it all comes from the receptionist
My Cholesterol level is about 240. My friend has a similar cholesterol level. My Doctor wants me to take a statin. Yet… my friend’s Doctor said that she is fine. What is your opinion on a safe Cholesterol level?!😊
To not take statin medication it causes dementia. My cholesterol is over 300 and my heart doctor told me not to take statins at all. You would be just fine.
It’s always up to the doctors clinical evaluation and professional experience. Some doctors will recommend nutrition and lifestyle changes BEFORE medication, and others will recommend medication right away, especially if they feel like the patient may not be compliant/consistent with nutrition and lifestyle changes. This is just one of many reasons but definitely not the only. Ultimately, the final say is truly up to the doctor and patients discretion.
Thanks for information, I refuse to take statins that killed my Mom.
I'm desperate to get off of the statins that my PCP put me on as a 'preventive'. It's been detrimental to my memory and I'm sure other issues as well. My Endo was surprised to see that my PCP has me on the highest dosage, though I cook moderate to low fat, using olive & avocado oil. I also use butter since margarines are horribld and taste revolting! I'll be speaking to my Endo about going on a Keto (modified) diet to seriously lower my carbs and get myself off of insulin and metformin (one step at a time).
@@nancythane4104 Follow your gut. They lied about the numbers to push the meds. Do your research.
I believe i read that we need some cholesterol for our brain how do we lower high cholesterol without affecting our brain
There's good and bad cholesterol
"our body naturally produces sufficient cholesterol to meet the requirements of your brain. Cholesterol plays a critical role in the structure of cell membranes, including those of neurons in the brain. However, actively seeking out additional cholesterol in your diet is unnecessary for supporting brain function. :) Hopefully this helps!
How much plant sterols and stanols per day to lower cholesterol?
Ok, just googled. 🤦♀️ Should have done that first. I found one study that said between 1.5 and 3 g per day, and the British Dietetic Association recommends 2g.
This is correct! We tell people to aim for around 2g☺️
what about red yeast rice or artichoke extract?
These can be helpful! Consult with your doctor since I don’t know your particular health situation ☺️
Would a person have to take all of the supplements?
Absolutely not! Select one and bring it to your doctor to see if the supplement you selected will be a good fit for you or not! :)

i have high HDL 80 and high LDL 130 with normal triglycerides. im little bit confused on the high LDL should i avoid carbs and eat more fibre to lower LDL?
No answer. I guess she doesn't know.
Mine is similar, I wish she could answer that
@mrazislove @mikecar52 @carmenM-ey6qy Thanks for reaching out! It's understandable to feel confused about your cholesterol levels. While high HDL is generally considered beneficial, having high LDL is concerning as you know. Increasing fiber intake and reducing REFINED carbs can help lower LDL levels. Incorporating more WHOLE fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes into your diet can be beneficial. :) No need to eliminate all carbs

I have a hard time balancing good eating habits. I just grab and go. I will like to have my meals delivered. Any suggestions?
I am subscribed to a healthy meal service called Methodology. They are only servicing California and I believe the surrounding states on the west coast so if you don’t live on the west coast, you won’t be able to subscribe. You can still check to see. Another good one is Hello Fresh. They are pretty expensive, but if you are ok with the costs, these are great options
@@Darkempress45 thank you for sharing
Certainly! If you're looking for meal delivery options to help you maintain good eating habits, there are several services available. Some popular ones include Blue Apron, Sakara, FactorMeals, HelloFresh, and Freshly, which offer a variety of meal options and ingredients to your doorstep with easy-to-follow recipes. There are also specialized meal delivery services that cater to specific dietary preferences or restrictions, so you can choose one that aligns with your health goals. These services can make it more convenient to have nutritious meals at your fingertips, helping you stay on track with your eating habits. I do need to do a thorough review on all of these though, so be sure to do your research! I just know these are the most popular I've come across.🍽️🚚🌿 Maybe I should do a video review on some in the future! 🤔
@@nourishcenter yes! I think that would be a good idea to give some healthy options for busy people that are on the go

Should you have cheese and icecream if your choleserrol is high
You can have these in moderation, but since ice cream and cheese can be high in saturated fat, I would limit ice cream and cheese as much as possible if I had high cholesterol. Saturated fat can increase cholesterol levels in your body.
No.....butter.....cream and full fat milk....that I have read so far
Are you kidding?
Those are some of the worse foods you can have.
I am on a carnivore diet so not to worry about this
