I was the only person in my screening of The Invisible Man. In a massive IMAX theater. Needless to say, I am now perpetually paranoid.
That sounds like an amazing experience. I think I wouldn't even get up as the credits rolled. Just sit there looking at all the empty seats
The tension of the Invisible man is the same as Purple Man in the first season of Jessica Jones. When you know what powers he has he is always dangerous because before you even see him he could be controlling you.
Oh God, I freaking loved David Tennant as Killgrave. My favorite live action Marvel villain. Just makes your skin crawl...

I really love how much it feels like Leigh Whannell knew exactly what to bait the audience into looking for. When Elisabeth moss goes out to the rain everyone already knows to be scanning for the rain hitting an invisible man somewhere in the area and it absolutely ups the tension until he pops up totally unrelated to the rain.
"Take this sack of bees and get in that mirror." Done and dead. lol

Never walked into the wrong movie before, but I did read "Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison for about 2 days before realizing it was not "The Invisible Man" by HG Wells lol They are VASTLY different books and i felt VERY stupid.
So many missed opportunities to say "The NUMBERS, Mason, what do they mean?!"

I somehow became a fan of the old Universal monster movies. But after the recent nonsense I was not expecting much out of Invisible Man. But I loved it! Maybe my expectations were low but I'm glad to see you all liked it as well. Although I loved Joker so..?

I'm a teacher too and any portrayal of a teacher in a movie or TV show is the absolute worst. They are either bad teachers or they give a dumb speech and suddenly everyone is a great student.
My theory for the spoiler they know is... Marvel plans to introduce Corn of Coblin into the MCU in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
My real theory is that either Punisher (Jon Bernthal) or Daredevil (Charlie Cox) will show up in the series
Invisible Man was honestly refreshing to watch. It didn’t implicate future installments of a dark universe, it gave a strong woman figure in Cecilia without being “woke” or demonizing male figures and it was well shot and thought out. You cared about the characters and every death had a sense of gravity and weight to it.

So I just finished the book Disney War the other day, and that's the book Lindsey Ellis draws from fairly often. Bob Igor actually is directly responsible for alot of the big changes at Disney over the last few years. The shift of focus on animation and changes in TV strategy were big things of his since he was an ABC Executive prior to Disney purchasing them

[SPOILER-Y] I don't understand all the praise for Invisible Man. It's certainly entertaining and cinematic, but the plot was full of holes. HOW THE HELL DID HE GET THE PAINT OUT OF THAT SUIT?? It's full of tiny moving parts, yet he manages to get from the hall to the kitchen sink without dripping anything, and then cleans it off completely while keeping all the paint in the sink. I mean, damn...I wish my roommates were that clean. Also, Elisabeth Moss' character keeps forgetting that she could be being watched by an invisible man. She's covered the floor in coffee grounds, she's sitting in the corner holding a knife, and talking to empty space for a while, but then suddenly decides to go all Sherlock Holmes with the phone and the attic. If you thought that there was someone invisible in your house, you would be walking around with your back to the walls and throwing flour around or something. She just walks around leaving her back exposed to huge 'empty' rooms and corners the whole time. I will concede that characters do dumb stuff in horror movies all the time that get the audience yelling at the screen, but this movie was so realistic and well done most of the time. The plot holes seemed kind of glaring.

I didn’t know that Spielberg did “The Post”. That movie was excellent.
See, the problem with people is that they lack creativity. If you're in a house, like your own house, and you fear an invisible man, just get some foggy making machine (probably use water, rather than CO2 so you don't die, though you can use CO2 too as long as you watch the concentration). An invisible man would just look like a void in the smoke and you can cap his ass.

INVISIBLE MAN THEORY: so surely if he knew he had 2 suits then why would he share 1 suit with his brother. Maybe he was tied up from the beginning and the brother used his 1 suit not knowing there was another (as it was invisible in the locked room) and it was the brother all along.

there cant have been only one visible man, because he shows up at the little girl and cops house in impossible time from the mental ward. it had to have been the brother and theres other clues that distinguish who was in the suit at a time which i cant be bothered mentioning

It's tetralogy not quadrilogy
It was entirely spoiled by trailers, its twist didn't make much sense or really matter, I felt bored during the 'suspense' moments, and the end was a little absurd. Action and effects were good though
too many plot holes. to avoid spoilers: ask yourself what the security cameras would have seen in that last scene!

It was ok. About as good as some of the best blumhouse generated stuff, but that's not saying much. A classy scare for your average moviegoer, but nothing that will make it a new classic.

I do NOT think Invisible Man is a good adaption of the original. Invisible is suppose to be a good guy that everybody hates bc he is different.
He is suppose represent the plight of black people in society.

Doesn't sound like you've read the HG Wells novel that's the actual original. It's about a scientist who figures out how to go invisible and his slow descent into madness thereafter. This movie is a pretty competent #metoo adaptation, all things considered
The fact that this is a remake of sorts is upsetting but aside from that it was MEH at best.
