This is why I love when people preserve games because we finally have more information about the original KH coded.
Kind of ironic that the original Coded is trapped inside what is essentially a tangled mess of data.
To have access to 9 new KH minigames and a lot of new GBA CoM style ost from mainly KH2...chef's kiss.
Lost episode of Dirge as well as Before Crisis is great to have back too. I never got to play those back then.
Meanwhile Nomura is out there figuring out how to make all of these mini games cannon.

Sir, Picross is not drawing from memory. The numbers tell you how many cells in a row are filled, and then you logic through what cells must be filled and what cells cannot be filled.
How nifty! I'm old enough to remember Coded's announcement in the post KH2 days and how insane the idea of playing fully-fledged games on your phone was. This was around 2006-2007 I believe and prior to the iPhone and the beginning of smartphones, so this was pretty nuts! cool to actually see this game brought back after all this time.
Was a pain in the ass trying to get the minigames network checks removed, took me around 5-7 hours of combined "let's sit down and begin writing the execution of the code line by line in a notebook and trace what needs changing". Hope people join Kahvi to download and enjoy those titles. Luckily, you can get a phone to sideload these games as well to have them physically on the go.
Where to we go to learn how to play these on Kahvi or how to side load them into a phone? I have a DoCoMo with the coded demo, so that would be awesome!
Surprised that Kingdom Hearts V-Cast wasn't on here. Not too many people I've come across have remembered that game.

VCast is already found and preserved. This is i-mode, different from VCast
A portion of the game has indeed been found, but not all of it is properly complete. There’s still significant world data that’s missing that unfortunately nobody has found to recover yet.

Picross is actually not a "drawing from memory" game. There's "sudoku"-esque mathematical rules to follow to solve the puzzle.
That last KH Mobile minigame is literally Persona 5 Royal Tycoon (and President card game) 😂
OG Coded and the JoJo movie are my two favorite pieces of lost media. The fact that in a few months I’ll probably be playing coded gets me SUPER hyped

You'd think the pixelated sprites would make it easier to translate KH games to the phone.

I forget what it was called, but a number of years ago there was some KH themed facebook game with a high score tracker for the players. Went back and forth with a guy for the top spot till I just gave up because I had other things to do. Little chance of me remembering the name now.

lmfao, the last card minigame is also a tipical card game in my country (spain), we call it "el culo". it's so funny seeing sora and the organization play the same game i spent hours playing when i was in high school

A kingdom hearts physical board game like those 10 in 1 boxes (chess, checkers, etc.) Would be badass tbh. Where I am, we lost power due to hurricane beryl so having something like that on hand would be awesome

i also remember V-cast only remember these name only sadly.
It's a known thing that Square Enix aren't the best when preserving video game history.

hmm...how different is re:coded from coded in terms of story? I know re:coded was updated for the DS but...are we missing much, is the story the same? Coded's phone game being preserved will be good for just preservation but is the story any different is what we need to know.
Now imagine we got these games in KH3 instead of those G&W type games.

This emulator you are talking about is there a reserved and possible still playable version of Kingdom Hearts Chi and union cross? If so please let me know I played it back when it was available and I regret never finishing it all and I don’t remember why I stopped. It would be cool if they could bring this game back like they did for recoded but make it actually playable for PS5 instead of a cinematic version. Or just bring it back as is but playable on this emulator you are talking about if it’s not already. I wonder if anyone else agrees with me especially since time has passed.

I actually tried to play the coded demo and it didn't want to load and I didn't get help
While she may have inherited her Keyblade from Aqua, Ventus is the one with a heart of pure light, like Kairi's, so I don't have a problem with the game of Kairi rescuing Aqua getting cancelled.
But I did wish Kairi, Aqua and Sora had rescued Ventus together, instead of Sora, Donald, Goofy and Aqua.

There is one, and Cynical was using that to play. You can get the games sideloaded on a specific phone thanks to a recent method done by a user over at kahvi break
