What about people from Coastal region like Dakshin Karnataka, who are not Kannada speakers or Kannadigas. But Tulu & Konkani's speaking people , who go outside the state like Mumbai & overseas, bring their wealth & earning in developing this region. Why don't they get reservation in their home region.
They are true kannadigas. Get lost.konkanis indo aryan language are well integrated after migration. Tulu and kodava are kannadigas.

I think the larger issue here is the excessive migration from North Indian states to these cities like Mumbai, Banglore, Hyderabad, Chennai etc, and destroying the local culture itself. This is what Udhav Thackrey said decades ago, and he is not wrong. Look at Mumbai now, marathi has become a minority language in Maratha capital. Same applies for Banglore too. I know North Indians who live in Banglore for decades still don't speak a word of kannada, infact they call it "Kannad"that itself is offensive. I'm not supporting this 100% reservation, but people migrating to other states should show some "Respect" for the Language of the land and their Culture.
