Assassin’s creed The story so far - Hry
I just wish that it had gone the route of Desmond using all the skills that bled into him after all of AC2 and it’s expansions into being a modern day Assassin.
That's what i wanted to say, im happy that there are some people that share the same thoughts.
In the days of AC2, I legit thought they were building up to an entirely modern-day assassin’s creed with Desmond taking down Abstergo.
I'll never forgive ubisoft for fumbling desmonds story
@@petruthegamer9777 that Was the patch but ubi didnt see money in that future
Now they are broke.. funny thing huh?
Desmond is the most underrated Assassin's Creed character. Modern Day haters ruined the franchise imo.
No, I think Ubisoft ruined the franchise by neglecting the modern day portion of the story and making it incomprehensible whenever they did include it.
Ubisoft ruined this franchise. I've played almost every AC that's come out on the main consoles and Unity was a breaking point for most of the old fans. Their commitment to yearly releases did the most damage. Instead of making us wait for games and polishing them, they decided to be greedy. Ive played the three newer games too and while they're fun and big they try to do way too much and origins is really the only one I would say is close to an actual AC game
what i love about Ezio is that he basically became a sort of boogie man to the templars these men were literary made irrational by their fear of him
he was italian babayaga, idk if i spelled that correctly. but yk just saying hes john wick basically
Ezio is the goat aka the boss they need to go back to that and do a storyline with one character over multiple games the ezio games were lit
@@dobthebuilderyes, love Ezio.
This dude explains a game series better then historians explaining actual history.
Lmao
False
HE IS JUST As GOOD AS DISNEY AND ITS LIES...NOTHING DIFFERENT HERE WHITELIES...lol.ITS A VIDEO GAME WITH 5 DOLLAR INDIANS..LIKE THE WHITEMANS SON THE INDIAN LADY HAD...HE IS A WHITEMAN WITH NATIVE FEATURES...JUST AS THE VIDEO GAME SAID...HE CAN PASS...YET HE IS NOT
because this game series was expertly written by well paid professionals. Many important parts of history are lost to time. The job of historians is to relay everything we know as we know it so you can form your own conclusions.
😅i@@rckli
Mate, you are not a "video game storyteller." You ARE a storyteller, period.
Don't limit yourself to one area. Narrate Breaking Bad, GoT, LotR, and maybe even One Piece I'd watch it. You sum up and tell it like nobody else. I hope your channel blows up.
Totally agreed
While it is a nice sentiment, what if he just wants to tell videogame's story? You shouldn't tell him what to do.
@@Xeno_Solarus You look at a comment about potential and spun it into one of tyranny. Maybe you should look into a mirror before seeking attention.
@@Xeno_Solarusyou got dragged😂
Thats nice, but its not limiting if he only wants to tell the videogame stories.
Lucy was planted at abstergo by William Miles on a deep cover mission. Vidic knew right from the start that she was an assassin. Vidic turned her and she became a double agent. In short the reason why Lucy turned was because she felt that William had abandoned her as she had been on her own for so long.
And cuz the director didnt wanna pay her actress lol
@ZeroOmega2100 Indeed. They also rewrote the entire plot because of that.
@@robbyrhodes4572 there's a lot of story lines they abandoned, the eve stuff for example. Also to this day I'm annoyed that they finished the juno stuff in a comic instead of the games.
@@ZeroOmega-vg8nq so cry for this still and pay kristen bell. 😂
Let’s get a game to rewrite this so we can fix all this
I started Desmond's story in AC 2, and I like how it just kind of thrust you in, no real cringy exposition, just learn as you go along, and piece together what happened.
They had such a perfect ending for AC III, even if it wasn’t the plan from the start, it was there. It should have been possible for William to step up and take his fathers place. The franchise is full of fathers and mentors failing there sons and students. Breaking that cycle and saving his son would have been perfect for William and Desmond. Thus letting a new one begin with Desmond as a mentor and master assassin and Juno unleashed. Wouldn’t have had to change the future games, they eventually went the route of just needing blood dna for the animus and IV was one step from that. But they wanted to remove Desmond and decided to make a poor ending to the story as a result.
Somebody in Ubisoft REALLY fucked up killiny off Desmond….. I mean, for gods sake, he’s the youngest of the oldest uninterrupted assassins blood line!….
They could have totally dragged the games out with Desmond reliving more and more and more memories, synchronizing with them and becoming the ultimate assassin with super human skill and alien artifacts…. They could have 100% just taken the game far into the future and had him running around futuristic cities AC style. They fucked up big time….
Almost as bad then squandering their potential games by establishing the origin of the assassins as something so damn recent….
Back when AC actually had a plot. I miss those days
The story of Desmond, and Ezio in particular have been monumental to my life. I had recently revisited the franchise in release order from the first app the way to AC III. The impact this series had on my life is monumental, firstly, the layers of lore and depth in the world building are just mind blowing to me. And secondly, the way I got to watch those three assassins grow and change and live their lives and see their perspective on the war was just amazing. I have nothing but gratitude and love for this franchise, as silly as it may sound, it has made me the person I am today. And it holds a special place in my heart

binging this instantly, AC1 & 2 are probably the most forming games of my youth, I also have just rerun all of the games till origins. so thanks for making this, its a blast so far (roughly 30mins in)
I've been doing the same. What were you expectations going into AC1?
@@WideOldDan bad gfx, that my memory has "made better" in hindsight but a bad ass story. but truth be told, it held up way more than i expected and I also had forgotten the "chunk" of the hidden blade kills was so chunky. you know what I mean?
you genuinely made me want to play the entire series again.. damn you...
This is an all time video right here. I felt like I was in history class. I can’t wait to watch more of your content
Man! Thanks so much! Black flag coming in July. If you email me… I’ll let you watch right now with a link… as a thank you! Check out email In description.

@@ThePatientWolfMy uncle met Edward's actor Matt Ryan aka Constantine a few years ago
I really wish they didn't completely abandon the eve stuff. There was a lot of story lines they abandoned, it's a shame really. Its a shame they finished the juno story in a comic book.
They are hacks; totally bad at basic story telling; they set all that stuff up then fumble it or deliberately crater it just so they can pump out generic games for a quick buck. It is truly pathetic
The Jar Jar Abrams school of storytelling. Set up a bunch of intriguing mystery boxes, but with no inkling of a plan on how you will resolve them. Then let all those seemingly important threads fall away into irrelevancy as you string the audience along with the promise of answers and satisfying resolutions that will never come, because they never existed.

AC2 was so good. What a storyline. Having Ezio's sister work the books for years so that she had genuine experience to run the brothel was so smart, games just arent made the same anymore. Really would've loved to see Desmond take on the mission in modern times, but at the same time i get why they didnt.
It's just cash grabs in video games, nowadays.
@@Jamallo369 Yeah it's a really sad state of affairs. Microtransactions are killing games. Kids these days will never understand the excitement of purchasing a game, then rigorously leafing through the gaming manual on the way home to play it...such simpler times
@@himynameis3664 Society is obsessed with materialism and is distracted.
Productions reflect that, emotionless.
Im still so happy that Ezio, despite his adventures, finally got to love and continue his family. The story of Ezio is still, to me, peak storytelling
omg I've forgotten how good ac2 was. Seeing the ending again gave me goosebumps...
I've only played AC4 but man, the way you told the whole story made me feel like i played every AC series of Desmond. I am currently sick when i was watching this, so thank you very letting me experience the game and the lore. Awesome explanation and narration, bud! Great job!
It's a shame the series lost its "conspiracy techno-thriller" vibe somewhere around AC:Rogue
Exactly what I think, even Rogue had some amazing stuff with Otso Berg and they somehow ruined him too in Syndicate and Oddysey. Man, the feeling of subject 16 glyphs are something I really miss and of course, Desmond as the ultimate assassin... everything had more and a better world building before imo
Man, Ezio's death always makes me tear up
There are no words that adequatly describe the quality of this video. Your voice is so soothing and awesome to listen to
This was a whole movie! Loved it! New Sub right here… dude needs to get sponsored by Ubisoft and do some kind of story telling for the AC franchise… very informative too I haven’t played the first 4 in a while but this really did bring it all back to life. Will be checking out the other videos now.
Thank you for the time and effort put into this it’s greatly appreciated and enjoyed!
I don’t have much time for the things I enjoy, one of them being Assassins Creed. I’ve played every one (except China). You, sir, have turned something I enjoyed quite well into something I enjoy even more, it’s been years since I’ve played these games and been in touch with Desmond. Your way of explanation and even cutting back knowing when it’s the game’s “turn to talk” made it feel like I never left Desmond’s side all those years ago. In short, thank you for this. Earned a follower in me, without all the bells whistles jump cuts and heavy editing. Thank you for this, I truly appreciate this video.
Just wanted to say that your videos are such an inspiration! I started watching a few days ago after I started replaying AC3. The amount of detail and effort you put in to these videos are insane. I've had writers block on my own Max Payne related project for months now. Seeing this has really got me wanting to work on it again and finally get it finished. These videos are absolutely amazing and well made. You can tell how much love and care went in to this. Thanks so much for all your work. Looking forward to seeing this series continue!
i loved this! you took the right parts and put them together perfectly while giving a great narration.
You are incredible. Thank you so much for the time and energy you put into this.
I tend to put on long videos of my favorite games / topics to listen to when I go to bed, and I have to admit I actually got so invested in this video when I started it yesterday. Your narration and way with words is very pleasant to listen to!
I love this informative documentary style of art you displayed here! Doing this about video games is great, let alone doing this about my favorite video game franchise itself which is awesome. It’s a great idea and you nailed it perfectly!
These videos are so fun to watch! I didn't pick up a lot of details you talked about over the years playing the games. Thank you!
So I am very late to the party in regards to your content and channel. I must say I wish I'd found it all much earlier. You have such a thoughtful and intentional way of conveying not only the game, but the experience of emersion. You put words to what I don't even know gamers consciously know as they/we play though the game. Fantastically done, all of it. I am thankful I found your content today.
Man, that's some great storytelling! Subscribed!
I've played all these games multiple times, but still found out about some I didn't know. Thank you!
this is first time I watched a 3+ hours video without a skip
this is great work dude. 3 hrs well spent, appreciate all the work you put into this video.
We need Patrice, Ismail, and Darby up in the studio to brew us an Assassin’s Creed game based on their previous releases. Because AC 1 story is 9/10 AC Origins 9.5/10 and AC Revelations and AC Valhalla 9.5/10 are golden eggs
I first played Assassin’s Creed with Altair’s story when I was probably 17 or 18. I loved the story and game and the intriguing plotlines unraveling, but I;m not really a serious enough gamer to enjoy resolving all the riddles and time-sensitives labyrinths, so at some point I got fed up. This video is AMAZING, it allowed me to return to the storylines that so fascinated me and follow the characters, while acknowledging some of the mechanics of the game as a story element and just. This is so lovely. Thank you so much for this hecking cool video and all the hard work you put into it
"Rescuing princesses from castles now?" and "It's a me! Mario!" are just two of many (I believe) references to that slightly popular Nintendo franchise.
I am sure princesses in castles was a trope before Super Mario Brothers.
Great content as always PW. Much love, and keep up the great work.
Keep them coming! Best Assassin’s Creed recap videos I’ve seen. Great work :)
My god what a MASTERPIECE! I literally watched this with a popcorn! Congrats man! Really!
Holy shit man... I watched the whole thing, GOOSEBUMPS, memories... YOU ARE LEGEND FOR DOING THIS VIDEO. This was one of the best AC videos I have ever seen!!! please continue doing this. THANK YOU!
assassins creed died with Desmond (with the exception of ac4)
thank you for reminding me why i loved this franchise
The low views on your videos are criminal man, I could see these being million plus view videos easily.
This feels like a history channel documentary. Solid work.🎉
This is amazingly well done
Amazing series, great breakdown and explanation, I’ve played Assassins creed since the release of the first one, thank you for your hard work

Excellent work, my friend. Purely excellent!

This videos so well made, props to you bro
An Absolute Stunning video well in mate! 🙌
Your explanation of Assassin's creed story, really made me a fan of your story telling skill.
Amazing video great work man loved it
EXCELLENT JOB on this video.
Absolutely impecible video, 3 hours felt like 30 minutes. I was enthralled throughout revisiting this iconic series. I commend your effort, dedication and passion to this project. My only downer would be that you cut out one of the most emotion-inducing and powerful lines at 2:03:28 from Darim - "All that is good in me, began with you, father."
Thanks for making this video, it's very well made!
Thanks Gary!
Brother the long videos kill it keep up the awesome content!
You have once again dropped another masterpiece, best storyteller ever!
fantastic recap. well put together
Much appreciated!
You gotta make a vid about the rest of assassin's Creed i am still confused by the story and your vids are the only one that made me understand
Wow what a awsome and complete storyrelling❤well done
Because of these video essays you’ve made, I dropped part of my paycheck in purchasing all the ac games available on switch…. And Unity and AC1 on PC. Thank you, but also goddammit.
Fascinating dude, keep it up :D
The patient wolf is just a masterpiece of a channel
As a born and raised Italian i had never played a game like AC 2 it changed my life and made me so appreciative of all the parts that only would stand out to an Italian and i love how all their games carry that through different cultures , amazing video cannot wait to see more, really hope you into layla’s storyline
i waited so long for a ac episode from u. Keep up the good work. hope ac black flag episode coming soon
Duuuuude I forgot about menirva speaking directly to Desmond thru ezio. That was such a mindtrip back in the day
Great job
This is beautifully made and very well done.
I truly wish they kept the original Desmond story. They could have made it so much better than what we got.
Another masterpiece, thank you!
3 hours long vid at 2 am??? perfect to make me fall asleep.
*proceed to watch it till the end*
Worth it. Splendid way of story telling.
Subscribed because holy shit 😍😱 great job all around my guy
damn, that was entertaining!!! - subbed!
Glad you enjoyed them!
Imagine the franchise continuing to the point that we revisit Desmond as an ancestor…
Wouldnt that just mean we would literally be repeating everything we did before his death? Lmao
William might work better, surely there's a heap of assassinating to explore from his younger days.
@@1475369100war never ends 😂
Insanely dope video dude! I cant believe i watched it all but it was just so easy
I alwas feel a twinge of sadness thinking of Desmond's path
Congrats on 100k. I'll subscribe, even before i watch my first video 😂
Banger video
Hello I'm new here and I really enjoyed the content you have here. Will you be tackling the Assassins Creeed Novelizations & Comics in the future?
Aye my new favorite channel 😮

I wish i can play this again i was young when i played this for the last time i did not play the story im gonna beat it if i get my hands on a ps3 and ac1
It's time to use the shroud and bring Desmond Back
One of the deepest games I think at its time even now we'll beyond its years
1:58:12 little mistake there, called her Maria instead of Sofia.
Loving the video so far tho, what an awesome effort you made!
Wonder how many pages this script was. Its like a whole textbook. Absolutely amazing
A fair few, lol
Subbed great stuff
Yep. Now I gotta play the games again.
yet another banger
edit: excited to see you cover AC4, hands down my favorite AC game of all time :)
Lol I still remember that funny bit between Ezio and Caterina when she's locked in that cell.
Ezio says something like "Stay here", and she's answers: "I'm not going _anywhere_ "
Amazing work!
Saved me a lot of time and headache of replaying the entire saga.
And then we saw him again, there in the Norwegian vault, the Reader, the assassin, Desmond Miles.
when assassins creed was good.......... before kerching.... games were games........art .. there is no art anymore.
Good bro
holy snap, over 3 hours!
just finished watching it over a period of time and wow. what a video, simply breathtaking narration, everything was so good!
