    In this No Limit Hold Em Poker VLOG I am playing Texas Hold Em at the Victoria Casino in London!
    I usually play poker at Hustler Casino in Los Angeles. Hustler Casino is the home of the Hustler Live Stream where players like Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Garrett Adelstein, Phill Hellmuth, Mariano, Rampage Poker, Nick Vertucci, Ryan Feldman, Ryusuke, Doug Polk, Nik Airball and Mr Beast have played. I am trying to gamble my way to a big chip stack and win lots of cash!

    I like the decision to try to use table talk to get your opponent to fold top set when you had set of eights. Good instincts.

      Ya it was such a weird spot but I don't think he'd fold if I stay quiet so had to try something

I’m from glasgow, Got into poker about 6 months ago playing wsop game, played for 4 months no cash, watching daniel negreanu streams, 2 months ago loaded up sky poker and won £1K on my first tournament placing first out of 150, now I am hooked. I think winning your first tournament is a blessing and a curse haha 😂
    Spend loads of time studying GTO, and watching Jonathan little etc.
    Played one private live tournament and placed ITM, excited to see where it leads

    What do you think about the top set fold (KK) Gazy ? It cant be that bad when all flushes are possible no?

    • @garyblackwoodpoker
      @garyblackwoodpoker  Před 24 dny

      It's not that bad tbh, I still wouldn't fold it but I do have a lot of flushes

    set of 8s at 14:20, do we wanna lead here instead in this configuration at some frequency since a check/raise forces the businessmen out?

    • @garyblackwoodpoker
      @garyblackwoodpoker  Před 29 dny +1

      It's an interesting question, and I think the right answer is to x/r small so the businessman will continue his straight draws and his Jx. Or just x/c like I did and win way less!

    How do you randomize when playing live?

    • @garyblackwoodpoker
      @garyblackwoodpoker  Před 28 dny +1

      I use a chip and treat it like a clock, so if the top of it is 90 degrees right facing, that's 0-25, if it's 180 degrees, that's 26-50 etc

      @@garyblackwoodpoker rake

    • @boholad1983
      @boholad1983 Před 28 dny +2

      @@FatpigkennyAll games, £1-2 to £10-25, are 10% rake (Grosvenor advertises it as 5% rake, but what they do not advertise is their ABSURDLY PECULIAR practice of rounding the decimal up when applying the rake!!??, so it's absolutely closer to 10% rake for the majority of smaller pots).
      It's capped at £10, with additional £1.50 for promos.
      It's not as bad as it sounds, you just need to try to avoid playing small pots. (I.e. Size up your bets and never limp if you can help it!)
      For example, from a £21 pot, they will take out £3.50 for rake and promos which equates to 16% rake.
      Anything over £200 is capped at £11.50.
      So a £230 pot is the threshold for when the rake actually hits 5%

      it's important to stay balanced btw with your timing tells, dead serious, if you tank check a spot where you're supposed to snap check and people know you like to peel flops with pocket pairs, the smart ones pick up on it!

  • @RakkiOtoko
    @RakkiOtoko Před 27 dny

    Personally don’t think the KK is so bad. You can still have all the flush and straights. Against a lot of opponents this will be a flush a lot.
