The speech play was nice but I would never ever show that kind of a bluff during the game that you guys are playing in. I would let him know after because if you let him know and show him while you guys are playing he just has that much more info on you in the current game it's different if he gets to know it as you leave and try to remember certain things if he runs into you in the next game you guys play together rather than showing right there.

I guess he’s worried you flat pre with with AK, the only hand he should really be scared of. His call makes sense as do you really call off an all in with bottom FHs or worse when you know he could easily have AK. He does block the main nuts (AK) though as well as 22, as pre flop flat with AA is less likely and pure cooler. So maybe just a low risk fish bait bet makes sense even if it only gets through a low % You are very unlikely to end up with 33 still in play by the turn as it folds to the flop bet, so there’s not too much he can bet for value with. A thin raise maybe to ensure a had like yours would maybe have got through? What would you have called up to? Interesting hand!
