Ok things i found after using this for three months the method for keeping it attached to your take is not the best it also gets blocked quite fast this leads to noise also the nozzle comes loose and its expensive personally i would use Ehiems pickup or fluvals "U" series filters

What do you do with the bio media it came with? Put it in the filter at the bottom? If so, how many?

I cannot get the lid off of the filter sponge compartment. Any suggestions?

You just have to push in the narrow end of it t tiny bit like dent it in below the lid . Not hard enough to break it but enough to push it in and lid will lift

Did you ever use the media that came with the filter? Also the air bubbles seem excessive even on a low setting. Did you figure out how to control the Venturi system?

Yes and no. I did use the sponges. But I used Two Little Fishes Bio pellets as a moving bed filter. I was able to adjust the Venturi system. There’s an adjustable knob on the top. The reason for the high volume of bubbles is because I have an eco bio stone beside each air stone. Thanks for watching!

@@divineaquariums2774 hi I have a question about the shark filter ADV 800
Is this good enough for a 75 gallon tank

@@maverickworld8192 my personal opinion would be no. You would probably need 3-4 units. You could use it for polishing the water though. That’s what I use it for. I add poly filter to the shark and I get it from Walmart. You would be better off buying their whale canisters. I have two whale 350’s on a 55 gallon. One would work for my 55 gallon. But I like having the extra biological media. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I soak them in hot water so they dont break my thumb

That’s a great idea. I usually have a towel and use that to save my fingers. 😂

@@divineaquariums2774 it looks awsome filter but can you add extra pots to the 600? I want one lol

If you can put extra pods on the 600 that would be great,on sicce say only the 800 has this feature so a bit confused here lol

@@stewartfooter3580 My guess is that it "Might" be a smaller pump in the 600 and that's why they don't recommend it. You might over work the pump. But you can always buy the 800 and only use one pod?!?!
