I have a question .. i changed the radiator the thermostat and the still overhating what can be the problem?
Three things come to mind.
1. Make sure the cooling fan is coming on.
2. Make sure the water pump is working.
3. A bad head gasket can cause overheating as well.

My gf has a ford flex i done this thermostat 10 times in and out and its still leaking any advice
Make sure the rubber gasket is installed properly. And also look inside the thermostat housing and look for any pitting, deep scratches or anything that coolant could escape around. Check the hose and make sure there aren't any cracks and that the hose clamp is on properly.

Did you have to drain the radiator?
Hey Rick, I did drain the radiator. It's not 100% necessary but it does reduce the mess. If you pull the thermostat out without draining the coolant you'll get a rush of coolant spill out of the housing. If you do it this way I recommend using a hose to rinse the top of the engine off after repair as it can be corrosive to electrical connections.

@@ValleyMobileAutomotive no heater, also no smoke from the hood, when on idle temperature rise when drive temp goes to normal, smh
