Haley is a generational talent. Greatest performer I've seen
Hey Queen of the North I enjoyed your reaction/interpretation . I particularly liked the way you let the song play without constant interruptions. This version of Creep by Haley Reinhart was sublime - A virtuoso performance.
She covers every emotion with such vitality and vigorously owns this cover. With no apologies just raw talent,makes my ears smile.. cA

My neighbor is a voice teacher. I played this for her. She said that Haley Rienhart is a monster.

Great reaction. You pointed out things that most Reactioners never mention. Haley has a very big range, apparently over 3 octaves. Within that total range her actual belting range compared with so many other singers is very high indeed.
You also pointed out the most distinctive feature of her singing, her control of different tones and colours of her voice, and how she can switch from one to the other. This is a hugely important aspect of what makes her so unique and most easily recognisable of all singers today. There is absolutely nothing generic about Haley's singing. She is an absolute one-off.
a lot could be said of her runs and other vocal ornaments but I realise you canna go on at too great a length, unfortunately!

@@theblackdog2399 You have that right but don't make the choice for others. I love the song and I really like Puddles. They may like him too. Just because you don't doesn't mean everyone should not like them. They should listen and make their own mind up.

I enjoy your reactions. PMJ was on tour and Haley was sick. Scott convinced her to do this and they got it in one take. Apparently Haley was dissatisfied with her performance, but Scott assured her it was wonderful.

Seven Nation Army is just as good to my ears -- All About the Bass is amazing in a number of ways, including introducing you to Morgan James, who is another PMJ regular - her take on Aerosmith's 'Dream On' is spectacular. -- oh, and at some point, check out Haley's cover of "Black Hole Sun'

I read out there that Haley was feeling sick that day, and she thought the recording would not go well. Sott, the pianist, convinced her to try and here is the result. The first and only shot. Audio and video together. (from Spanish using Google translator).

Well if someone is going to do that song it should be done with the commercial. Either just the commercial or the combo version.

Of course her vocals are amazing, But as a guy who a lifetime ago (back in the 70's) was a fairly serious jazz trombonist as a teenager I really appreciate the understated horn section in this piece. (And I couldn't help noticing the trombonist subtly emptying his spit valve when they got to the quiet piano section near the end. Trust me, that's an issue with trombone.)

Many singers can belt out a tune, but very very few can draw you in like Haley. The only one I can compare her to is the great and truly missed Ms. Eva Cassidy.
Really hard to believe she came in third on American Idol. Scott McCredy won.
Listen to PMJ with Alison Young singing Mr Blue Sky. You won't be disappointed.

I've been a fan of your reactions since you followed Angelica Hale...now I've seen a few reactions to Haley Reinhart. I think you do a great job, but I couldn't find any of your reactions to Pentatonix, an acapella group that's been around for 10 years. I could provide you with a ton of information, but I'll wait until you react to one of their songs....recommend their cover of "HALLELUJAH" which is approaching 650,000,000 views (!!)

I have this pet peeve that too many contemporary singers over use vibrato in place of pure tones. Haley does not do this.
