I agree 100%. I think that she lost on AOL because the audience was full of kids and kids voting in as well. She was just too mature for the audience to even had any talent. To get voted off must have been horrifying for her. Her face tells it all.......so sad. However, she has a recording studio willing to gather her music and off to the races they go.
I just want to add that she is only 21 years old (I believe) with such stage presence already.

This girl rocks. She was robbed on idol and she should be a household name by now. Her voice is hers. No auto tune- notthing but her own voice. Can sing high to low, jazz to rock and everything in between.
We wouldn't have this if she had won Idol. I see that as a gigantic win for her. Is there anyone else who can do what she just did in this video? She's her own thing now, not some fake promoted facade for a brand or label.

There are other great singers out there, but they tend to sound generic compared to Haley. She's so unique.

If Haley had been born in 1925, she would've been one of the most famous, if not the most famous, jazz singer of that time. The curls, the stage presence, the bouncy step, the doo-wop voice with SO much soul... She would've been the queen of jazz.

True, but her father used to get her to scat and chase choruses when she was still quite young. He is a very good guitarist well able to improvise. Then she studied jazz when she went to college. Ach, you probably know this anyway. She's been exposed to, and taken in, such a lot of different musical influences. A natural born musician who's so good at so many genres.

Her dad is also on guitar while her mother and sister sing backup. They made it a family affair since the record label had dropped her at this point.
Aside from some great performances on American Idol, you must watch her performances with Postmodern Jukebox. In particular Creep and Seven Nation Army. You won't regret it.

Depending where you live, they might! I actually thought the same thing a few months back so I looked up jazz lounges in google maps and found my new spot.. it’s unlikely you’ll ever hear a Haley Reinhart level singer, but the vibe and the atmosphere were exactly what I was looking for.
ATL used to have the whisper room next to the fox theatre. I went there several times. I checked the internet last year out of curiosity and it's closed☹️ now that I've moved i still haven't found ANYTHING like that and it sucks.

Man what a cool performance by Haley and Jeff. They have perfect chemistry together. It's almost like they have been performing this routine for years. Though, I'm not sure Jeff was expecting so much perfection from Haley, and the song coupled with the music is wonderful.

Hayley Reinhart has a stunning voice to match her looks but also through her eyes, her mannerisms, her facial expressions and her genuine personality she exudes her inner beauty. One of the best renditions of this song ever; sang with so much class and style. Just beautiful; love this lady.

Wow. That's great. In a recent interview Haley said that she was contacted by Jeff just a few days before this was recorded. This is their first performance together.

It was a stotter of a performance, and it must have been great to be there. I suppose they roughed out a wee bitty how they would do it, but on the other hand Haley can certainly improvise, and surely so can Jeff. Whatever, they played off one another very well, and it was yet another side of Haley. Playful and mischievous, and the expressions on her face full of devilment, and thon deliberately exaggerated cooing at times perfectly integrated into the song, all brilliant. Jeff had a great performance for his video.
I listened to a puckle of other people's versions of the song, including the Eddy Cantor original, Nina Simon and Natalie Cole. I suppose Haley's version is based on Nina Simone's but I didna hear anyone so far doing anything like Haley did. It seems entirely original. Scott Bradlee certainly missed out on this one!

I find some renditions of the song rather depressing but I really like this version. The guitar is a big upgrade from that dreadful melodica that accompanied her with Casey way back when.

Aye, it's a super version, and the guitar is great. It was a pity about the melodica because otherwise that was a very good version. I don't know why Quinton decided to play the thing as he's such a good pianist, and seems pretty good on the trombone as well. I guess I'll blame Casey! He's notorious for strange notions!😊

I just saw her show in Senatobia Ms. last week Dec. 1, 2023. She has a most melodic voice with the high notes and she gets down low and gravelly with jazzy and bluesy tunes. She has an old soul and is not afraid to share it. And Jeffy ain't no slouch either.
