the deaf girl and her little brother pretty much gets everyone shredded by the monsters, at every turn, everywhere they go🤣

Appear out of nowhere with low sounds, but gunshots bring no horde
when ever they shot the gun the radio of the loud noise that hurts them was o when they shot and the other monster wont come because of the high pitch noise

Emmet is a real one. Dude lost his own family, survives alone and still maintains enough of his sanity not to be a creep when a woman with her baby and two children show up to look for help.
Then he goes after her rogue daughter, and she convinces him to help her on a mission that may be nothing but folly, or lead them to a group of people that were all like the men on the dock. But did he wimp out? No. That bit where Emmet stole back Reagan's hearing aid made me tear up a little.

One issue with this movie..wouldn’t shooting them dead result in more of them converging on the sound of the rifle? Don’t think they can fend multiple attacks off at the same time.
I was thinking that too but I think these monsters are more solo hunter, not like a wolf pack. They spread out to cover more ground?
Another issue: How did the world's armies and their massively noisy weapons fail to take out a bunch of quick animals with flailing arms that happens to be extremely weak to sound?
@@YuckFouTubeX if we were just going by the movie, it shows like people wasn't ready for the attack. It just happened out of nowhere. Lots of people died and lots were running for their lives. That police guy died trying to shoot it. And he was there on patrol. I believe by the time news hit the government military etc, too late, too much noise.

I wanted to like this movie, but they lost me when they let their toddler pull up the rear in a landscape full of viscious monsters, even with the older child watching him. BOTH parents had their backs on all the children?? And the dad's death felt forced, it annoyed me that it was so avoidable.
I felt the exact same way and said the exact same thing! Till the end of the movie, I struggled to believe that kid was theirs. Also, the man's death was unnecessary and wasn't well played. Tbh.

@@kinglando444 Getting bored of watching over your baby brother in the middle of an alien invasion and wandering off and dropping random shit after getting panicked when you were given strict instructions to not go anywhere. Tbh I understand Beau was too young but the other kid is like 13-14. I used to solve trigonometry at that age. Surely following basically instructions like "Stay here" that even my dog can follow is not too much to ask lmao.

A movie is only as smart as its writers, and this movie's writers didn't know about semi-automatic .50BMG rifles owned by civilians, and all the bigger stuff owned by the military. A .50BMG round would laugh as it punched through those several inches of biological armor, and a Mk19's 40mm grenades with tiny shaped charges would splatter the aliens into pasta sauce. And that's just infantry-level weapons. Imagine a Stryker or Bradley with their 25mm chain guns, an Abrams with HE rounds, a Predator with Hellfire missiles, an A10's 30mm cannon, rednecks with 50 pounds of Tannerite and a rifle, etc...

I enjoyed this movie. I don't remember them explaining why the aliens came to earth. They don't seem intelligent enough for space travel.....

In the 2nd movie, it did show a meteor that crashed into the earth and then these aliens started attacking..... But it was unclear if they were sent to earth on purpose or as an accident.
Yes they can be some sort of animals on other planet and alien had sent them to test
I think it was explained that the monsters were living on asteroids and one of those asteroids crashed on earth. Now how earth weren't destroyed I don't know. However a new movie is coming out calling "A Quiet Place Day One" that might reveal a bit more on what the origins of the monsters are.

a very good movie i have seen it before but this time it really summarizes it so well
I was never really interested in watching this movie what does shortened summary of it really helps,
The best character I think was the old guy named Emmett
And when the girl freaked out thinking he stole all of their stuff,
but he's actually the most heroic character because he was just looking for a good path to protect that family

So... Random blind space creatures kill anything that makes noise except they're rendered defenseless with a particular frequency. Yep. That story always made perfect sense. Kinda glad I never saw this.
Also they are extremely weak to loud noises and die from a revolver shot to the face

"A Quiet Place" was one of THE dumbest movies I've ever seen. There was just so much garbage plot, plot holes, and idiotic decisions from nearly everyone in that movie. I thought of AT LEAST 10 ways of killing those monsters after the movie was done (less than 2 hours). Yet, the military powers of the world with their mighty military intelligences couldn't bring down those things? I do believe I smell shite!

Would have been a suspense-filled thriller if everything had gone according to plan and nobody put themselves at risk.

Also they can't swim, how people just didn't get on boats and shot all the aliens down or do that even in the movie present makes absolutely no sense
most ridiculous part of this movie is that a year passed and the military is no where to be seen.
the writers remember that the navy exists right? if the monsters couldn't cross the water to get to an island, what happened to the hundreds of aircraft carries and destroyer class warships floating around in the ocean all across the world in every country? not to mention nuclear submarines and the like. hell, there are probably thousands of underground bunkers all across the world that the monster would have no way of accessing. they'd quickly figure out sound is what's attracting them and anyone with half a brain will think, "overload the one sense they rely on" and this invasion would be a weekend at best. whole movie was just a plot convivence to make it seem like deaf people can be heroes too, which they can, just not in this way. it's almost impossible to teach a deaf person the concept of their own movements make sounds they can't hear.

Terrible movies, they cleary swim very naturally in the first one but second one the whole plot based around they cant swim 😂
haven't seen the actual movie, but the island being free of them isn't entirely out of place, even if they can swim, they are lured by sound and if the island is far enough away, then they would never hear the island.

Otherwise the human species would die off. Like, its a bit dumb to have them just randomly decide to get themselves killed.
Edit: These are like the most easily beatable aliens that exist right? They can't swim, they can't see, they are attracted to noise which is actually making them easier to be killed.
