Another awesome thing that is never said is the reason why the lizards never bit Stanley or Zero is bc it was revealed earlier in a flashback that the yellow spotted lizards don’t like the onions Sam has and that’s all the two boys ate on the mountain ! Digging a hole is easy. Digging a hole in the heat is something else.
i dug a hole for my friend when i was about 9 or 10 and it was 4ft by 7ft in greece it took 3 days i would wake up eat breakfast and start digging and after i had finished i was like 3x stronger i could lift 2x my bodyweight and it just proves that even if it is hot and hard and painful you should always push through by the end you will be stronger either mentally or physically
who needs weight when you have holes@@richardadkin5340
@@richardadkin5340 wow thats pretty impressive, greece is hot and thats a big hole for a nine year old. I remember trying to dig as a kid but it was hard because where I live, you dig down like a quarter meter and from then on it's just clay for a long time which is hard to dig through. It also had these scarry big bugs that lived in the clay lol.

I absolutely love such movies in which obscure stories of ancestors and the mistakes made by them are connected to the people of today and how they solve those mistakes. This story really gave the important message that every cloud has a silver lining, ie, every bad has some good. Stanley the fourth finally took off the curse from his family.

If u read the book Stanley’s family was cursed by madame zeroni because Stanley Yelnats the 1st did not carry madame zeroni up the mountain but zero is a descendent of madame zeroni and Stanley yelnats the 4th carried a descendent of madame zeroni up the mountain so that’s how the curse was broken and things went back to normal
You can also find that out by watching the movie eh

I saw this movie as a child and I just had learned to read to keep up with the subtitles. I thought it was a dream for so long. Seeing it here made me realize the dream waster better. Even this recap is all over the place.
I’m sorry to be that one nitpicker, the video is great overall, but there are some serious facts you got wrong. The first one is the kid in the opening that got bit by the snake didn’t die. It’s not clear if he died in the hospital at any point or not but all they did say when Stanley arrived was he wouldn’t be returning because he was still in the hospital. Next, when you said that Sam lost his mule so he had to get a boat. That is most certainly not true. I don’t know if you said that for censorship but what actually happened was after the town found out about the interracial relationship between Sam and Kate, not only was the school burned down, but there was a manhunt for him. We saw him try escaping on his boat, which he actually had prior to his mule, Mary Lou Dying, and she was actually killed by that mob. This happened moments before Sam was shot while he was fleeing. And third zero didn’t ask if there were stars on the shoes he asked if there were red X’s.
All these recap videos are ai generated. Easy money.

While I actually loved this movie, I cant help but wondering why werent the Walker just took Kate's body and turned her for bounty? I mean she must be infamous enough to have hefty bounty for dead or alive right?
yeah, but then they would have to carry her body in through the hot desert. and with the guy's characteristics, he wasn't about to do that.
@@kenzi1424Not to mention the fact the town was likely abandoned by most of the townsfolk over the years due to Kate and the lack of water. Hardly had much of a sheriff nearby to turn her in for the bounty.
If anything, even if they did turn her in, the money was used to buy the land so they can dig without anyone around.
