Mutton Briyani Thalappakattu Style is a famous style of Biryani down south. Making this at home is very easy and tastes good than Restaurants. The output will be very delicious and mouth watering.

Cardamom - 5, Bay Leaves - 2
Star Anise - 1, Mace - 2
Black Stone Flower/ Kalpaasi - 1 Tbsp
Jeeragam/ Cumin Seeds - 1 Tbsp
Fennel Seeds / Sombu - 2 Tbsp
Pepper Seeds - 1/2 Tbsp
Coriander Seeds - 1 Tbsp
Chilly Powder - 2 Tbsp
Mutton - 1 Kg
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp
Small Onions - 1 Cup
Garlic - 1/2 Cup, Ginger - 1/2 Cup
Green Chillies - 3
Seeraga Samba Rice - 4 Cups
Oil - 1 Cup , Big Onion - 1 Cup
Tomato - 1,Chopped

Very good taste.. I tried this version. It's almost close to perfect. Instead of seeraga samba I used basmati. So I first half cooked rice and added it later... taste was similar to original dindugal taste... thanks for sharing

I never comment on youtube videos, but I have been looking for a perfect Thalappakatti Mutton Biryani recipe and this is THE ONE! I followed the instructions as mentioned and it came out PERFECT. The only change I made was to pressure cook mutton for 4 whistles since I wasn't sure if 2 whistles would suffice. Mutton was cooked very well and fell off the bone! Thank you for the awesome recipe!
