    "The force is strong with this one."
    Laura, that was a challenging ride. Any motorcyclist knows that riding in such conditions is no matter to be taken lightly.
    Your willingness to take on difficult challenges with grace and gratitude is one of your endearing qualities.

    Absolute soldier pushing through the white.
    I hit it last year, late snow in Colorado on the way home to Florida.
    Heated grips and seat on my BMW with a layered Klim Traverse suit, still froze my tail off.
    Riding in the cold sucks the life out of you.

    Another great video. It was so inspirational to see you meet the challenge of riding in freezing temperatures and snow head-on! So glad you got through all that safely.
    You mentioned wanting to come back and visit the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, and Sedona. My wife and I visited those places in February; it was all wonderful. When you do that trip, please stay at the Cameron Trading Post in Cameron, AZ. It’s right in between the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley. It’s also got a motel, restaurant, gas station, post office, and gorgeous high desert scenery in every direction. Cheers!

    Hi Laura, Just stumbled upon your videos and as a long time cross country rider was instantly pulled in ( and subscribed ), your filming and the tempo , music choices and personality are spot on and intriguing to say the least.... keep this formula as it is so much different than most of the cycle vlogs out there that it stands out in my opinion and has me binge watching now ! The videos are very personal intimate feeling and I feel like I am along for the ride... great work. You are a unique woman and I wish you safe travels...

    @lauradanielle1991 Hello Laura Danielle, Surprisingly I enjoyed this video as much as one from a good weather day. It's 90°F (32.2°C) at 9am with the humidity climbing towards 90%. The thermostat in the house is set at 78°F (25.5°C) but my fingers and toes still felt the cold. I live in LA (Lower Alabama) and ride all year.
    ☕ Wishing you all the best. Enjoy what's around you today. When you get to 70 years old it gets a bit harder.

    I love your videos. You are so genuine in all that you do. My daughter and I just finished a New England tour starting in Georgia. We got in about 4000 miles and that makes it 45 states on each of our older bikes my sons and I will do a 14 day tour including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Kentucky and Missouri before returning to Georgia in a couple of weeks and my wife and I will go from the mountains of North Georgia to Key West Florida in October. December will see me cross fromTybee Island Georgia to San Diego California and that’s as far out as I have anything planned. I say all this to let you know that someone of experience really enjoys and understands what you’re doing and I am a bit jealous because I am not artsy enough to make good videos. Keep riding and keep posting videos. Again, I think you’re doing a wonderful job.

    If ya dont get elect gloves (heat wires top of hands) to go with your heated grips. Make a single layer leather glove for palm & insulated top of glove. Then you absorb more heat from the grip while insulating from the elements on the top side. Or ….ride where its warm :)

    Ohhhh Laura, I feel terrible for you. I've been on a bike through snow too and it is miserable. You had to chuckle in those cold temps at the sign that warned you of snakes and tarantulas.... Still, very glad you got to see the mountains without snow. Hopefully next year the vaca will be a few weeks later. A question for you. In your opening you show the cover of your passport, everything is in English. Does Canada also issue a French covered passport for the people of Quebec? When I was riding across Quebec a few years ago, I met a couple bikers who told me their parents did not speak any English and refused to learn. . . I was shocked by that. Love, love. love your videos. Honest, not needing dialogue or monologue. You truly connect with your viewers.

    • @lauradanielle1991
      @lauradanielle1991  Před 12 dny

      Thank you! There’s French and English on the inside of the passport. As for the people you met whose parents refused to learn English- there’s some politics with that in areas of Quebec (Quebecois Nationalism). I’ve come across it too!

    So impressed Laura. Especially with a naked. I have always had touring bikes with windshields and some sort of fairing or tank shape that acts like a faring. My Triumph is a naked like yours but with a wind shield so that is a bit new to me. Seems like you were taking your turns onto the highway as upright as you can and from seeing that truck ahead of you for a long time you were staying in a nice safe place for those conditions. I am thinking about a trip from Southern California to the Reno/Tahoe area soon but concerned with the opposite of your trip, dealing with 100+ F conditions which can also be unsafe if you don't hydrate often. Can't wait for the next leg of your trip.

    Great video Laura, i dont know how you do it. You are riding in crap weather and conditions without proper gear. But i bet you are really glad of that screen and your engine being air cooled. Would love to help you out with some decent gear. Perhaps start a patreon or something and put money to gear and more rides, just a idea. I know a lot of people wont do it because it seems like begging. Know matter what you do i will always watch your videos. Ride safe ❤
