He could have said "I've been waiting all season and as soon as I got on the field, we went from 0-0 to 4-0 !" 🙂 We got 2 goals as soon as he got on - although he probably had not much affect on that, but he was ok. Good he got a chance to play - without the pressure of it being 0-0 !

Any player has the ability to 'play a good amount of minutes' if they can show for it in training. Ange always mentions that training performance is very important to him. But TBH, it must be hard to unseat someone like Micky from the starting lineup when we're only playing 1 game a week. Hopefully next year will bring EU football and with that a necessity to rotate players - which should give Radu ample game time.

So that was not the reason Postecoglou did not give him more minutes ! There are things behind the curtains that are not said and shown. Radu was misled by the coach before he signed with Spurs, telling him that he will play good amount of time. And that didn't happen ! So the coach didn't keep his word ! If it weren't for Van de Ven's injury, there are big chances Radu wouldn't have played at all this season ! And that is not fair ! Postecoglou was literally forced to play him with Aston Villa, and the irony is that Radu proved him that he's solid and can replace Micky or Romero more than successfully ! I think this was like a helping hand from the Universe to Radu. Not saying at all that it's good what happened to Micky, I really hope it's nothing serious. Bottom line, I think that the door has opened at last for Radu and he will get to play more and prove his talent. This is a big win for the team in general, having center backs of high value that give the coach the opportunity to always have a highly competitive first 11. And yes, I agree with the rotation strategy, it's a win win for everybody, there will be many games, hopefully Champions league next season. Looking forward to see a solid game from Radu and the team on Saturday and bring home the 3 points !

Now i am very confident in Joe Rodon as a player, and would really love to see that guy back at spurs especially heading into next season with more games to play. Would be amazing to see Radu and Rodon playing together under Romero and Vdv
It's a shame Radu is not getting more game time, Maybe Ange can start rotating esp with 3 massive games back to Back (City, Pool and Hammers) at the tail end of the season. But felt no worries at all with him stepping into Van de Ven's shoes. You can tell he's class.
He's not stupid. No doubt he understands that next season we will be rotating as we will have Europe. Also he hasn't had a preseason under Ange yet. He will play alot more next season. He's only 21 and his 1st experience in the prem. He will get some cameos and maybe 1 or 2 starts near the end of the season. Some players just take longer to adapt. Van de ven will have a rotational player next season, and Dragusin will rotate with Romero. All great teams have to have depth with quality players. You need 2 good players for at least 8 positions on the field without worrying about a drop off in quality. No more "backups" like Dier, etc. We need to be more ambitious.
