Dandadan is one of those special stories that blends genre together like it's nothing. One chapter can take you through horror, romance, action, comedy, drama, and some more dope-ass action all without missing a single beat. It's unbelievable how well it does it. Like, name the last time you read a horror-action-comedy that successfully pulls off a "will-they won't-they" romance. Shit is tight as fuck and it only gets better with each chapter.
Dandadan fills well the Dorohedoro gap in my heart. Even the names are similar.

@@m.l.2871 eh I can see how it wouldn’t be for everyone. There’s 3 reasons I love it so much in specific.
1: The two main characters relationship blossoming feels so natural compared to other series, idk what it is exactly but the little details of it all make it so beautiful.
2: The fight scenes are top tier, the way the author draws motion with lines, the cohesion of what’s happening from panel to panel, I mean you can see exactly the way these people and things are moving and picture it.
3: There isn’t really an end goal or some Destiny that these characters are working towards, it’s just kids tryna figure out life and they have some extra weird shit thrown in.
Summary if you dislike Reading
In all honesty I’d categorize Dandadan as a slice of life with Shonen elements in a lot of ways, in my mind at least. That’s exactly why I see why not everyone might like it though, cause it feels so much like a Slice of Life at times.

I think my favorite panels then double spreads are the dinner scenes at the end of every arc where our circle of friends has grown and we get more and more colorful and relatable characters. Tatsu-sensei has just a gift for introducing a character that seems like a 2D stereotype and through a chapter or two naturally develop their depth into a fantastic, fully 3D person
The fact that the very beginning of the video is the most replayed part goes to show how high quality this video is
I have been reading Dandadan since the first couple chapters and its really nice to see it get more and more recognition as time goes on, it really is peak imo

Not Funniest, but the funnest: action, comedy, lil spring time romance. The author knows what he's doing and the art, makes for some good eye-candy.

Dandadan is set to a masterpiece. It doesn't even need to be animated but if it is (correctly of course), it'd most likely be the #1 shonen of the season, maybe even the year.

I can't believe everyone isn't talking about the incredible sound design in this video! I don't know if you or an editor did the audio engineering but damn, it made the video exponentially more immersive & breathed life into these manga panels (shout out to the Breath of the Wild sounds).

Dandadan is like a fever dream, and it fucking rolls with it. 10/10 and also that panel with the cow getting beamed into the ufo is the greatest manga panel of all time.
I'm convinced that that entire chapter was written backwards from that cow panel. The reason they needed the cow was so stupid and hilarious.

The thing I didn't notice the first time through the video, was that little crack in your voice near the end. "Sometimes people just take care of each other". Brother that just hits different, I was drawn to your channel because of how passionate you are about your videos, and it makes me happy that you didn't cut that out. It's impactful, raw, and to me it says "This isn't work, isn't a job, THIS is a passion", and I'm just happy to be along for the ride. You know, a lot of CZcamsrs have provided recommendations about Dandadan and while they are nice, very few have been able to express and capture the outlandish nature of Dandadan as well as you have to the point where I want to erase my memories of Dandadan and immerse myself in it as I read it all over again. Friggin' sick video. Also, the overall quality of your video is madness. I mean, I've always admired the effort you put into your videos, but you took it several levels up a notch with this one.

One thing I love about dandadan is the clarity. Most manga, even the best like berserk have moments where you are just sitting there, staring at the page, and all you can think is "it looks cool, don't know whats going on but boy does what is going on sure look good", but dandadan has none. You can always tell exactly what is going on.

I dont wanna be that guy, but dandadan is the masterpiece of the future the story is so ridicoulous that the author can pull whatever shenanigan he wants and somehow make it work, the characters are absolutely adorable and the chemistry the have with eachother is perfect. Hope when an anime adaptation comes out eventually the studio manages to do justice to the manga both in story and art wise, because every panel of this is so cinematographic and beautiful that it would be a shame if some random studio fucks it up.

This is my first video I seen from you, and oh my, the way you tell us about Dandadan is an artform itself. The temp speeds up , then it tempos down, while the soundtrack matches each moment narrated. My favorite moment is when you spoke about the after hours school orchestra battle was magnificent as it shows the art level of Yukinobu Tatsu. Which can be sumed up with one word: perspective
I saw this video when it first came out. It's 8 months later and I finally started reading Dandadan, and yo, I can't believe I was sleeping on this manga! The characters are just so likeable, seeing them interact always puts a smile on my face. (also the editing in this video is peak)
I definitely get the sense that the mangaka is a big fan of Gantz, but luckily it seems like they'll also be able to avoid the various errors Gantz made.

@@siyasithole7995 Gantz is definitely worth the read, it's a famously great manga for a reason, it's just held back by how nonsensical and all over the place its plot often is especially in the final act. But that's also kind of one of the reasons it's lovable. Also I didn't think the ending was as bad as everybody says, it was satisfactory for me like the manga still gets a 9/10.

Dandadan is the type of manga that you're glad to see but devastated that there isn't enough chapters for you to enjoy.
I finally read this manga and holy shit. I haven't felt this kind of way reading a manga since chainsaw man. He captures this super surreal outsider perspective of human relations and friendship in the way that someone who watches friends and families form and interact but isn't always a part of them and experiences that love second hand. It's genuinely beautiful, you never feel like you're part of this family that's forming but you love to watch them from a distance. I don't mean to psychoanalyze but it almost feels like this is how the author views human relations: something seperate from himself that he is not a part of but that he finds breathtaking beauty and comfort in watching. Its truly special when an author brings you into their internal world and makes you feel like you don't want to leave without at least bringing part of their perspective with you.
Been watching this man, and damn. This has become such amazing quality content and every time it leaves me appreciating another avenue of anime/manga. Scamboli is the most legit guy I've ever had the pleasure of watching on this platform, and I hope he continues to grow and share this amazing stuff.

The reason why I like dandadan is how different genres combined without forgetting or destroying the other genre. Like if I will give tags to this manga, it has: supernatural, sc-fi, romance and comedy but all of them blends in a perfect harmony. Don't even starts at the artwork of this manga. It has cute, epic and quirky artwork. Definitely top shounen manga for me.

Oh and of course, I fucking love the interplay between Ghosts and Aliens, the reason there's not as many aliens as there are ghosts, is because aliens can't fight Ghosts. but Ghosts can beat the fuck out of Aliens. it's interplay between the two and those inbetween that just work so WELL. GOD

the panel of the acrobat and her daughter staring up at the stars still makes me tear up it conveys such raw emotion. that's what's so special about this manga, just like chainsawman (which the author was an assistant on), it's insane over the top and sometimes childish exterior belies a great deal of sympathy and beauty simmering just beneath the surface that the author chooses to let boil over when they think it's right. it's gorgeous and it deserves all the support in the world

Though it wasn't hugely mentioned in the video dandadan is one of the funniest manga I've read, some of the comedic moments are hilarious and they don't take away from the tone of the story which is a really good thing.

Thanks to your video, Dandadan is genuinely the first manga I've been keeping up with! I went to a site to read it and suddenly I'm 10 chapters in. Now, I'm caught up to the newest chapters and every single chapter has put a smile on my face!
6:03 - The interaction between characters is magnetic. It feels realistic. A mix of wholesomeness, growth, tension, and comedy drawing us in with each conversation.
6:51 - The drawings on this manga are unreal! There are impactful panels that make me inspect every detail to take in the scene. Truly incredible artwork that conveys emotion, movement, and pure JUICE into each chapter.
I could go on and on about Dandadan but this is genuinely a complete, cohesive manga that brings me joy to read. Looking forward to the anime adaptation. Thanks again for your review! Also, shoutout to your editing skills they're top notch work as well!
I love this manga, it's one of the few manga that can have me laughing one minute, terrified the next, cheering and end it all with some genuinely touching "will-they-wont-they" scenarios. When you did the montage of the dinner table getting bigger and bigger It really hit home to me how alot of time is spent with the characters enjoying each others company and learning to cope with the madness they've gotten themselves into or out of.
Swag manga. Yukinobu Tatsu's choreography and mastery of perspective is insane. Like those fish eye lens shots are killer. I hope the story picks up a bit more though imo it's simple and fun but if I have one complaint about it it's that I keep asking myself what the bigger picture is. Like I'm not too invested in Okarun's testicles ngl. But the fact that I just produced that sentence is exactly why I love it so much.
EDIT: Scammy if you see this I gotta know, are you a secret Kingdom Hearts fan?? Or did you just happen upon that orchestral version of Don't Think Twice??

within the last month after putting it off for awhile i finally read 30 or so chapters in a binge because i loved it so much. the art, the zany characters, the willingness to have some fucking fun, i had to put it down. not because its bad, but because i want to savor this experience at my own pace and take in everything this manga has to offer

10:05 The dinner scenes are just too iconic, man. There's just something so heartwarming seeing more and more people coming around a dinner table and just chill, with all of them becoming more and more of an actual family as they learn, understand, and fuck around with each other.
i remember watching this video almost 2 years ago, and it got me hooked on to Dandadan. And now it's getting an anime adaptation, LET'S GOOO
Dandadan quickly became one of my favorite mangas even tho I started it with only 8 chapters out, Yukinobu has an art style like no other and I get so easily immersed in the story and fall in love with the characters. I have no idea where the plot is going to go but I will stay for the ride, this video is so well made Ioved it!

You perfectly described what I love about this series. The action scenes are amazing, yes, but what I truly love is that you can tell that the author believes in people bettering themselves, helping and loving each other. That little moment where you see Ken waiting for Momo to finish her shift because he refuses to leave her alone ??? So fucking sweet, I love all these characters

I come back to re-watch this video every so often, along with a bunch of other ones from this channel, and I can honestly say its one of my favorite channels. Need Mr. Boli to grace us with his return asap 🙏
