I've been focusing on over all work capacity and fitness. I have a heart condition so I just use two 35lb or 26lb KB's for any fitness work. It's still a struggle even at that weight but I just remind myself to enjoy the process. It's kept my weight down, I sleep great, and I don't get so winded at work.
    Rock'n has always!🔥🎸🔥

Enjoyment is one of the most overlooked aspects of fitness. Glad you see the big picture...

We are having to think about our workouts,EEK! Our note taking and making notes of our workouts has been invaluable, paricularly as we now have to really think about our weight use without damaging us as we get older. Just invaluable insight coach and making us think about our workouts.

Thats a great help to find the right weight for the goal. O.k. it´s very close to what i use for regular weight lifting, but i like to see more content like this that covers basic knowledge and i think this very helpful for beginners as well because in gyms you always see two huge groups : #1 lifts to light by far and #2 often lifts much heavier than they should do and risk injuries while using bad form, pushed by too heavy load.

Will most definitely share more in future content..

I personally choose the weight based on the movement I am doing. Rarely will I press the same bell as I swing unless its a complex where the weight chosen is based on the movement which can handle the least. For example if I am doing armor building (thank you Dan John!!!) the press will limit the weight so I choose based on the press but if I am doing sets of swings I will choose based on the goal of those swings (normally power so a 24-32).

Yea, I always operate off the exercise that is the limiting factor...

Good one that, just bought my first bell and after some overhead presses, ended up with a 12 kilo, based on it not making twangs and crunching sounds my shoulder tendons and muscles. I pressed 20 and 16 kilos ok for reps on the shop floor, but not without emitting sounds and "feels" in the shoulder and elbow joints. Being 54 and coming back to the game, I have one overall priority for my training and that is to manage to train without injury, or at least not adding more injuries than what is already accumulated, which is quite a bit. Is my training anywhere near peak performance? No, but it is enjoyable, I get some gains and and it is sustainable over time. 🙂

My goal is to embody the Mandler so I use the weights specified in the workouts. I know after a very short time if I have made the right decision. Sometimes I know just by looking at the workout. I'm not too proud to drop down to a lighter kettlebell if form is going to be compromised or there is risk of injury. That's just me, everyone needs to assess where they are at and where they want to be before picking up those crazy arse cannon balls.

Coach, you gotta help us find some source for relatively cheap kettlebells. Perhaps you can create your own brand for cheap, value based kettlebells coach. You will have a huge customer base if you get that right
