The Often Forgotten Attitude Era Champions!

- in the WWF in late 1998 they had such a talented roster that wrestlers like Jeff Jarrett and Owen Hart didn't have much to do. They were thrown together as a random tag team due to both pretending to be the Blue Blazer. They were managed by Stone Cold's wife Debra. The team quickly won the tag titles although they didn't have a name. I will let you guys decide what it should be. Debra often distracted their opponents to give her team the advantage. There were actually some good matches in here against the likes of DX and X-Pac and Kane. I enjoyed this team team run on Ring Of The Hawk season 5!
- Komedie
What would you name this team?
Hart-Nuts
the nut slappers
The Hawk Squak Brothers, so that the girls smother.
SlapNuggets
The Chosen Harts
Commenting on every new video until J&J security gets a video
Can’t wait. Here’s hoping
Wouldn't it be more of a threat to say you'll STOP commenting if he doesn't make it?? Or say that if he'll make it you'll start commenting twice?? Comments are a good thing
@nickswix6976 I've never considered it before but that's actually a good point 🤔
I do that every time, and not even for that lol
At least he gave you a heart and recognized it.., but no comment!
Marky D's feud with Double J continues.
Hart & Jarrett were an underrated tag team. Happy Belated Birthday, Owen, and RIP.
I was surprised Slapnuts qualified for Ring Of The Hawk once. But TWICE? Holy hawk...
On the same season too
Given Jarrett's use of a certain musical instrument and Hart's alter ego was a morally upstanding character, I dub the name of this team Guitar Heroes.
Best possible name for this team and it's not even close.
"How the hell do you look clunky against Owen Hart?" Greatest question lol
Come on man, "Slap Puppies" was right there.
To wit: Did he slap dem puppies or did he grab em?
Debra's " Puppies " should be inducted into the WWE hall of fame, I remember her Summerslam 99 outfit like it was yesterday 😍🔥🔥
Should be in my mouth
Yea the Lawler Era puppies definitely deserve their own wing in the HOF with hers front and center
@@nickswix6976 And Molly Holly's & Layla's backsides 🍑😋
She is a former women's champion
100% puppies power!!
A wild slap nuts appeared
*DOUBLE J! JEFF JARRETT!*
👱✊🎸
It's so sad that Owen died, imagine what he could have achieved. Also the chemistry between Owen and Sean Waltham was incredible. I remember their king of the ring match in 1994. It's only 5 min long, but it's a banger
People thinking Owen was a potential world champion is like the people who think Bret is amazing then are stunned that every match they review is boring "unusually for a Bret match" 🤔😂
I can’t wait to see Keith Lee on ring of the hawk also let’s get Camacho on ring of the hawk
Yes, with Tango Lao back, we need Camacho!
Debra did have some nice puppies. They probably look like a couple of old basset hounds nowadays.
Come on, that plastic doesn't change shape. But they might be hanging a little bit lower now. 🤣
That sudden change in tone at the end. I was kinda shook, because I forgot that fact.
would love to see more steve blackman content, he was so unique
match 1 steve blackman and goldust just sounds like the most random tag team of all time
It had to have been absolute Hell for JJ to wrestle on after that tragedy, with the blood of one his (now dead) best friends still fresh on the mat. I can't imagine how heartbreaking and sickening that had to have been for him.
Revisiting Attitude Era stuff I seriously think X-Pac was a lot better than people gave him credit for. He was great at meshing with just about anybody in the ring and knew how to bump/sell.
I forgot about Jeff Jarrett in WWE until I saw Debra. Then it all came back to me.
this is my era of wwe didn't like them at the time but i miss Owen now! the kicker is that owen was going to win the IC title at over the edge! RIP Owen
Same. It took a bit of growing up to notice just how much of an amazing wrestler Owen Hart was
I think it is just said he was going to win because of what happened
Kane: The Run ender.
Nuggetnuts! Stop, youre killing me!
I wish I was able to see Owen hart, Eddie Guerrero and so many others before they sadly past. there legends will live on as wrestling and every new generation of fans, wrestlers continue to enjoy this sport
Man, '98, I woulda been 15. It feels so long ago because Owen's still wrestling, but the footage and some of the wrestlers feel like 5 minutes ago.
Kid me hated Jeff Jarrett since pre-WWF days, but kid me didn't fully get it. Once I got older, especially watching things in retrospect, I grew to genuinely appreciate him as a worker.
To be honest, “The Slap-Nuggets” is hard to beat 🤷♂️
Also like it for an American pop-punk band. Like, it’s what Sum 41 should have been called.
Now my day can end on a high thanks marky
You should do Supply and Demand (Godfather & Val Venis) for ROH eventually.
Owen was the coolest wrestler I ever met in my life.
Steve Mufuggin' Blackman is on his way to transcending into Shin Blackman.
Oh man I forgot how good Owen was...
I forgot how much of a smokeshow Debra was
No kidding I bet a lot of male dudes were jealous of Austin during that time in ‘99. The guy was red hot popular and had a fine ass girlfriend by his side.
@@StraightEdgeKnight19Even Jarrett, and he wasn't even dating her.
Can't believe Austin struck Debra
@@marcohavokkhaos more so Austin though since everyone knew that Austin was dating her in real life even when she was managing Jarrett on screen.
This is one of my favourite videos!
They did have a tag team name. It was called Canadian Country but it never became official. Road Dogg did refer to them by that name though before
Owen 😢 ❤
Rip Owen hart
Since 1999
Yeah Jarrett and Owen were a solid , underrated tag team who had really good chemistry. By all accounts they were really good friends in real life so that's probably why. Just at this time the tag division wasn't featured as a big deal
Def should have been called Team Blue Balls. Pretty obvious one here 😂
You seem a little low in the energy department today. I assume its from a long day of the Hawk making the girls squawk! 😂
Flop Dolla and the rest of Hit Row should be a fit for Ring Of The Hawk
Such a great run here for both guys, a shame ended too quickly.
I never realized just how many enzuigiris Owen has done.
It would also be fun to call their tag team Music City Nuggets.
Was not expecting to see Public Enemy in this run lol.
Seeing badass Kane reminds me of thr time he was Corporate Kane , that should be a future video
Someone I was only thinking about because Weestling With Wregret covered Summerslam 2010: Michael Tarver for ROH.
16:45 Yes indeed Hawk, she never looked better.
RIP Boss man 🕶🖤 4:26
Shows how good the division was when they only faced one team (outlaws) more than once.
After going through some old Ring Of The Hawk videos, I'll wager something you might be interested in, and a company you've never tackled before on this channel: Tommy Dreamer's CZW run.
According to Cagematch, he had 8 matches in CZW. The first one was before he got signed to WWE in 2001 in the aftermath of ECW's death, and the other 7 after his release from WWE and subsequent run with TNA over the years. Some of his matches in CZW are hard to find and maybe 1 or 2 have been uploaded fully on CZcams.
Whens the video on the run of Ezekiel in 2022?
3rd time asking for a Johnny Nitro video. I won’t rest until I see one
Nitro had way more than 30 matches
Paul London and Billy Kidman, an even more forgotten Ruthless Aggression tag team
JJ Strut is like what a tweaker would do and think impresses you
Talking of tag teams, Thom Latimer/Bram teaming with Konnor The Rat as part of the first Ascension in NXT in 2012 - 9 matches together
@MarkyD123 you gotta do Kung Funaki for Ring of the Hawk or do Mexicools if you looking for more tag teams on RoH
People actually think Owen Hart was going to be a world champion without the Austin incident 😂
This team was mainly on HEAT i thought. Every episode on youtube seems to have them on it.
Don’t piss the puppies off sounds perfect!
I'm not a patreon but if we are talking about Forgotten Attitude Era Champions I'm bring up Jerry Lynn he was wwf Light Heavy weight Champion. He won the belt from Crash Holly in late April 2001 and lost the belt to Jeff Hardy in early June 2001
Debra said she wanted to do Playboy but Stone Cold said no. And thats the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!
What a shame.
They were so random Owen could have had main event matches but he got pared with the ultimate mid carder
Here's a couple of possible names:
Stroke & Hart Attack
Rocketnuts
Owen & Jeff, The Harty Boyz
WWF Universe Mode
Gen 2 Blonds
Ain't They Great?
The Blue Blazers
Wooo Kabong
A Wild Nugget Appears!
I love the SSN logo and instrumental idiots name 😂🤣
Can we get RKK Scott Steiner for ROH please
I think D-Lo and Test won some kind of battle royale or something to get the tag title shot. That doesn't really make it any more logical from a booking standpoint, but at least there was a reason I guess?
You need to create a Six Degrees of Slapnuts video for ol' J-E, Double F, J-A, Double R, E, Double T.
I really think Billy gunn could have been a massive singles star, maybe not the main event but definitely upper mid card
They tried.
I didn’t know that bossman was so agile!
Man, every time i see a video about him it reminds me how happy i am that Jerret isn’t wrestling any more
What he still is wrestling
@@adamsifford6228 that’s disappointing
Great tag team, and this Jarrett's theme was awesome
Also don't forget: Camacho at the Ring of The Hawk
camacho didnt do enough for ring of the hawk, he was more of a side piece for hunico and barely got matches due to him being so new
@@SlimbyTheSillyGoose he has 30 matches on wwe
If the Hawk watched all Vito's matches, he can watch Camacho's
NGL, the tag team of Slapnuts & Owen was a tag team I enjoyed watching. Just a shame it was a short run because of what happened at Over the Edge '99.
I would kindly plead for including Sting AEW and NOAH run for one of the next ROH episodes.
5:12 😢😢😢😢😢😢
You forgot the ''Slapped Blazer'' or the easy ''The Blue Nuts'' 🤣
Don't think I didn't notice the OSW references.
Bring some more TNA early days content as well
JJ had the Guile hair cut.
no matter what ring of the hawk video it is *SLAPNOT JEFF JARRET* will always be involved in some way, This man is everywhere in pro wrestling lol
WOOHOO LETS GOOOOO A MARKYD123 VIDEO
holy shit thee slap nuts got a mf B??????
Remember this run this place when Vince Russo was running the show with him using his crash TV style of programming? I'm surprised it turned out to be a good run despite all the shenanigans.
4:56 it's the black blazer 😂😂😂😂😂😂
If they had stayed a tag team, we'd probably still have Owen with us...
Also, I'm sorry, but Debra always looked over 50 to me.
Slapnuts back in his early years
Blue-Nuts!
i like the 5
A video on Everytime a Japanese wrestler actually got a win in the U.S. in the 90s on TV.
The last time i came this early my GF was disappointed 😂😂
Wow it needed 4 people to beat d'lo brown 😂😂
It's crazy how much more attractive Debra was in WWE compared to when she was in WCW as Mongo's "wife".
😄👍
4:59 a wild Birdman appears
I just realized I may have to tap out on this one cause...doesn't their run end with Owen dying? I was laughing at Owen saying the black Blue Blazer proves its not him...then I remembered how it all ends up...
Slapheart is a good name!
in 1993 Jim Neidhart had six televised matches in WCW. Would that qualify for Ring of the Hawk?
Wrestlemania match was a result of a battle Royal on Sunday Night Heat
In hindsight, Vince could have just allowed Owen to leave and go with his brother, Bret to WCW. At this time of the Attitude Era with Stone Cold, The Rock, Undertaker and Triple H swamping for the World title, there was no way in hell they were going to add Owen to any of that at that time, if ever. I think they were just going to midcard him throughout his contract. Making him the Blue Blazer again, didn’t seem like it was going to involve any big angles either.
Especially with stone cold not wanting to work with Owen only way he would be able to do so is if instead of big show winning the title Owen wins it or feuds with the rock in 2000
That could have only happened in an alternate universe where Vince isn't the most petty prick in the world.
Inverted atomic drop is called the Manhattan drop
R.I.P. Owen Hart the Joker Hart loved to prank people
Missed opportunity to call them blue nuts
I watch all Marky123’s videos in a mirror so that the wrestling isn’t backwards.
Double J Danger
Sometimes i felt that double J got a long time beef with WWE is bcoz of Owen's passing.. yeah i know there's the part of asking WWe for a lot of money
