  • It’s the how bad can it be belt, smack yourself one until it’s felt. We are on a mission to find the worst episode of professional wrestling and today it’s an episode of WCW Thunder from May 3rd 2000. This show was New York rules which means no referees and you have to count your own pinfall. It also festures the worst battle royal of all time and no good wrestling at all! But if you know a worst episode of wresting smack it down in the comments until it’s felt!

    Some speculation about why KroniK is in the Millionaire’s Club - this part of their gimmick was forgotten over time. KroniK were mercenaries, like the APA. Russo literally copied almost all the midcard gimmicks from when he was in the WWF. So my guess is KroniK worked for the Millionaire’s club because they could pay them more. That’s the best explanation I can come up with.

  • @fumpr84
    @fumpr84 Před rokem +24

    The story about the end of the show is this; stage was gimmicked for either DDP or David Arquette, not Terry Funk, to go off the scaffolding and into it, but for whatever reason most of the talent was not clued in about it and during the battle royal Asya of all people partially went through it during her entrance or exit, I can't remember which, so for the people there the spot was already blown. To make matters worse, before the dive DDP was supposed to take, Arquette walks out and completes the collapse of the gimmicked part of the stage and falls completely through it. DDP and Jarrett are stuck up on that scaffolding now, this is an all-time disaster, and apparently DDP just winds up falling down there anyway (sounded to me like he almost didn't even let Jarrett knock him off and just fell off on his own lol) to zero reaction because of how much of a clusterfuck even by WCW standards this turned into. There are apparently several edits of this show, including one which showed all these epic screw ups, but I've actually never been able to see them and this was the first time I even saw one that showed Arquette, as the one that got aired completely edited his involvement in the show out.

    I don’t think anything can top whatever this was,
    But I think we can at least try,
    How about a Recent episode of TV,
    Which given it’s circumstances, was one of the most Underwhelming, generic, and insulting bits of Wrestling TV in a minute,
    And given reports that came out after,
    It nearly shook the IWC to it’s core.
    I’m talking about Monday Night Raw from April 3rd, 2023.
    I didn’t think much of this show,
    But a lot of people did.
    It’s not gonna beat, whatever this was,
    But it would be interesting to see what The Hawk thinks about this show, especially with the circumstances given.

    I was 8 years old, I vividly remember Macho Man leaving the limo but keeping it on the boots for a reveal. I just appreciate you letting me think about this show again. It's been so long, I just assumed this was a Nitro lol. The Wall was way over with me too. On the playground, that's who I played as 🤷‍♂️

    Congratulations Markyd123 on finding the dumbest WCW Russo episode as you had a lot of content to go through as basically every Russo WCW episode be it Nitro or Thunder were dumb so finding the dumbest is like finding the liveliest person in a morgue (when all the employees have gone home)

      @@shady3legend Steiner has a muscle disorder that effects the muscles that effect the raising of one of his feet which is why we got those strange competitions between him and Triple H when he went to WWE. It's a shame as he's one of the best heels of all time and could have had a long run if given a decent storyline and the time to work it.
