    This is awesome. I bought one and have now finally assembled most of it. I found the BMS board and the top board have their ports backwards (for the rainbow cable that communicates the voltages of each cell). Maybe this is due to the specific ones I ordered and because I did not do it as one kit purchase.

I have a 2/3Kw load that needs to run 24/7. I would like to run it from a battery system that is charged during the day from solar 3kw. What are the necessary components for the battery system and how large needs to be? thx

    What is the worst case amps that can flow through a Shorted Cell, when these 7S1P pack are then connected in parallel? There could be a ( 5 amp ) Main Fuse at the Voltage Output terminal PLUS there are ( 7.5 amp ) PCB Trace Fuses on the balance leads. So, the steady amps through a shorted cell can be 12.5 amps = 5 amp Main Fuse + 7.5 amp Balance Lead PCB Trace Fuse?

    Hi, i don't know if it's the right place to make this question, but i want to make my ''first'' professional 2kw powerwall using 18650, but i'm worried about the safety of this project.
    It's the first time i build a battery pack with hundred of 18650, i don't want to connect 100 batteries eachother and have trust only in fuse wires or BMS, so *is more safe to make maybe 10 pack of 15-20 battery with smaller bms (50A for example) all in parallel? Or the BMS in parallel can have conflict?*
    The place where all the pack will be can handle the explosion and fire of 1 pack of circa 15 batteries, not 200-300.
    Thank you very much :)

    • @JonathanAngliss
      @JonathanAngliss Před 4 lety +1

      This is what I'm trying to wrap my head around. Looking at the schematic, the BMS is connected to each cell in each board, but each board connects the cells in parallel for the BMS. For example cell 1 board 1 is connected in parallel to cell 1 board 2, 3, 4, & 5. So I'm not seeing how it monitors each cell individually, that, and the BMS is only for 7S.

    Hey Jehu, hey how’s it going, been following you for a year now, very interested in what you do! I’m having trouble making the connection, for charging and discharging, this has held me back from purchasing, so the xt60 connector, is there a like a connector extension, so I can charge my cellphones, I just haven’t seen those on your sight, and is there a wall adapter that goes to a 110v to recharge the pack? I would like to directly email you, just don’t know how to go about it! Looking forward to hearing from you! Thank you!
    Dean

    Great video Once the BMS is available again, how can I monitor the BMS with a computer or screen, what is the item I need to view what it going on? I know you have the SOC module but I was looking for a way to monitor this remotely or connected to a computer. Is there a standard for that BMS ribbon cable interface?

      Anybody? How can I add a monitor, preferably a wireless monitor to this? I saw some that have Bluetooth modules. How can I add a Bluetooth monitor to this BMS?
