I once read that Weird Al Yankovic, as a boy, asked for an electric guitar so he could rock! But, of course, his parents got him an accordion. So, he hooked it up to an amplifier and distorted the heck out of it until it was nearly unrecognizable. And he'd try to rock that accordion hard. When his friends heard him practicing and asked, "What was that!? An accordion?", he'd say, cool as a cucumber, "Nah... it's my electric guitar." I think this explains a lot about Weird Al's slightly-demented personality and his need in life later to use his accordion to take on and take down all rock and pop music.
Personally I love that the accordion is an instrument thats not taken seriously. Because people will group it in with the bagpipes and other "wacky" instruments- And the look on people's faces when you start going hard on things that shouldn't be allowed to be played on an accordion is fucking priceless.
I love it!! Finally, an accordionist gets it! It is NOT classical, jazz, or polkas. It is rock music that the accordion needs to play! Keep up the good work
Amazing job. I’m new to accordion but I’m trying to learn how to play this and using your video as I guide. It’s a little difficult for me to keep up with which chords you’re pressing. Any way you could give a quick guide on the button progression?
This is not a beginner-friendly song to play, especially not at this tempo. If you're not careful you will end up hurting yourself, especially your right hand.
Michael, you are a great maestro! I appreciate your state-of-the-art play. However, it is hard to compete with the authentic AC/DC rock orchestra; not your fault but limitations of the musical instrument.
I really appreciate the use of an acoustic accordion here. I am not personally a fan of electric accordions. It kind of defeats the whole point of the instrument to me.
I looked this up because I was curious.
My curiosity has been satisfied. Also, that was the smile of a winner at the end.
me too, glad I did.

I’m not sure the part about the amplifier is true. The rest is true though

What are some songs that a beginner accordionist should learn (rock inspired)
@@theshauny I'd go for Highway to Hell or something like that with 3 different accords in whole song
The accordion may need rock music, but it seems to me that *hip* *hop* needs more accordion.
@RockandRollAccordion maybe you will like this song by Bosnian band "Bolero" then czcams.com/video/_kmwwFlqsv8/video.html

His second name is mostly from Croatia, also Bosnia and Serbia...so, his somewhere from Balkans...
красавчик!
поставил бы 10 лойсов., но увы...
Thunderstruck should NOT be played on an accordion. Its not meant to be played on an accordion, and somehow this sounds pretty good. So well done.
There is no rule to what a song can be played on, at least (:
Meanwhile in a parallel universe....
How the hell does anyone play this

Thet kinda goes without saying tho. Its what you can do within those limitations that matters

He aint canadian
His surname reveals Balkan origins (probably Croatia)..also accordion is no1 instrument in the Balkan countryes
