I rembered that thought how can they have another series i the same year and also now he's made it where else could it go love this series more now than I did when it was originally released on tv
How there was never another series of this I'll never know, this was another level to young ones
it's believed that Ben Elton and Rik had a difference of opinion (falling out is possibly too stronger wording for it) and went their separate ways which is what put an end to the second series.

Rik wanted more creative control and Elton was a twat about it, so they never worked together again.

I lost my VHS of this about 3 years ago, and have ben pining for it ever since. These missing, rights-contested scenes are, along with 'Ooer Sounds A Bit Rude,' the high points of the series. You have my eternal gratitude!

I'd forgotten so much had been edited out for the DVD. I remember watching this series endlessly round my mates house on Saturdays on his family's Betamax machine.
Notice that the Judge at the beginning is the same guy who buys 3 bottles of champagne from Richie and Eddie in the shop in an episode of Bottom. I love how certain respected actors like John Wells clearly had a love of Rik and Ade's brand of humour.

Great to see the uncut version of this episode, thanks for uploading, and in really good quality as well. I remember episode 2 being cut for VHS and DVD too, when Richie and Eddie are sitting on the toilet Richie says "are you thinking what I'm thinking?" which is followed by an obvious, horrible jump cut to Eddie's reaction shot. If I remember correctly they had a conversation about Jet from Gladiators, or something like that but the whole thing is missing and I've never understood why.
You must be remembering wrong, Gladiators didn’t exist yet when the episode was first broadcast.

Roxanne never made the DVD either - must have been a music licensing thing as both songs were cut.

Oh well. Never mind. Well done for this, though. I'm not sure if any of the other episodes had much edited out so the DVDs are probably OK. I can't remember every episode when it was broadcast.
