@@davidsalo8397 The way it works is kinda lame. If Von Golfcart should have a sudden aneurysm and die, then at the Republican Convention in July another candidate will be chosen. Who that would be is a bit of an unknown, but conventional wisdom is it would be his VP candidate. However he hasn't announced one yet, so that's a big question mark. If he does choose one and it's terrible (like Kari Lake or Kristi Noem) then I suspect they'd search for someone else in back rooms. It's likely that Nikki Haley would be that someone else because she'll already have a decent contingent of delegates at the convention and they're unlikely to support another nominee unless they have very broad support among the remainder. I can't imagine The Defendant will choose a good or even competent VP running mate, so in the above situation I predict it would be Haley.
