    Since 20 tools cost 250 crowns or less and each unit of tools repairs 15 durability, 1 durability costs 0.83 crowns or less to repair. On the other hand, you can sell weapons and armor for around 16%+ of their worth in cities. So if you have items that are worth more than 0.83 / 0.16 = 5.2 times their remaining durability, the value above factor 5.2 is profit (so it's actually much less than 10).
    So this means if you buy tools for 250 crowns and use them up to repair something that has a value of 10.4 times remaining durability, those tools will produce 500 crowns in value once you sell the repaired item. The profit break point can also go even lower than 5 if you can buy cheap tools and sell to allied towns with ambushed trade routes.
    What all this means is that even some lower tier stuff like woodcutter's axes and some of the loot from skeletons / orcs / goblins is worth repairing.

      While technically true, this isn't really true in game. You can only carry so many tools at a time. If you waste all your tools repairing things that give you a 10% return on your tool investment, you end up losing time in the field and money on higher value items.

      If you take a look at the list of melee weapons in the BB Wiki, you'll see that about 75% of the weapons there are worth repairing (mostly tier 2 and up), and it's not just a 10% return on your tools, it's 50-100% or so, easily more than with trading goods. You can make large amounts of money with this over time, but yes, you need to buy tools as much as possible. From what I've seen, most players simply don't focus enough on this and just skip buying cheap tools even though they still have space.
      Some examples of tool investment returns for lower tier weapons:
      Shortsword: 40%
      Reinforced Wooden Flail: 44%
      Broken Ancient Sword, Woodcutter's Axe: 60%
      Crude Axe: 87%

    You don't have to buy trade goods below their "worth" to make a profit.
    This is especially true for southern city trade goods (incense, spices etc.).
    Even if you buy those at like 115% of their worth you will make a very decent profit by selling it up north. The further you get to the north the bigger the profit.
    This works really well if you already have some money to invest since the southern cities stock trade goods in large quantities.

    Another good one. Thankyou!
    Question about nets.
    So far I’ve only seen them as costly 1-use items that have their use of an upcoming fight is I forsee will be a close one. Netting one or two opponents at the right time gives some extra time to finish off others in the beginning.
    But I haven’t explored using them much. Almost never use them.
    What are some useful tactical uses for nets?
    Maybe a video on that?
    😃🤗

    • @feediefood
      @feediefood  Před 11 měsíci

      I don't often use nets to delay enemies, but to "debuff" a strong one. It makes sure you can stun them and even if you fail to stun, they'd have to chose between breaking the net and hitting, giving you tine to stun and puncture those leaders and fallen heroes for armor. Netting a shield walling guy in order to kill him quickly to get to the backline is also a good idea.
      So I usually net things that I need to take down quickly. It makes your bros' lives safer and it's worth spending the net just to make sure you don't lose bros early game.

    • @magnusnilsson1962
      @magnusnilsson1962 Před 11 měsíci

      So a netted opponent cant benefit from shield or shield and gets a debuff on attacking... Does it also increase stun-chance? I can check that out ingame. 🙂
      I've been to afraid to replacing shield with a net or having a backline bro not use two-handed attack. With the perk Quick Hands that might be less of a problem...but I've felt I'd be loosing an attack opportunity... The opponent looses 1 or 2 attacks butearly game I've felt that the price for a net is to high and later on it feels easier to tank an attack tham use a bro to net.
      But all this is more habits. I havent taken the time to try it out. @@feediefood

    Look for a 5-6 settlement trade loop that can be done in 3 days without missions (reset timer on goods) and includes cheap tools and a city or better a southern city for selling. Usually there is one or two per map. Add the value of the trade items - consider a 20% pay out as z rule of thumb. So a basic 3000 gokd route nets 600 gold per round of 3 days or 200 gold per day

    • @johnrousselle6731
      @johnrousselle6731 Před 11 měsíci +3

      @@RevarBB You drag an enemy army from the faction you're raiding to a camp. But there is also a way to get allied armies to follow you, and that's to drag an enemy army past an allied army. They will often chase after the two of you, though they won't actually engage the enemy army. They will show up in camp battles if you drag them close enough though. Your allies will fight the camp baddies but will not engage the enemy faction army once the camp baddies are dead. This can result in some pretty crazy 4-ways. Well, 3.5 ways, at least.
