Just the sort of thing I’ve been after for months on this rail rep!
Ever since I had DOE37 maxed out but was denied video footage in October, I’ve been after DOEs getting maxed out on rail rep in hope I would finally film one at its best. Patience paid off it seems because I finally succeeded with DOE10 in February, even though someone HAD to sit opposite me...
These never seem to come out on rail rep unless it’s Three Bridges to Brighton direct but every time it does run, there’s always a few DOEs out and I love it, put simply!
I refuse to film these on the 93, 213 or any other London route and now you can see why.
This bus was working Southern Rail Replacement between Three Bridges and Brighton only (FAST via the A23)

This is like fast as Sapphire's 101, holy.
And the Greenline 702, yes! They all use motorway type roads, whether they’re classed as A or M roads!
Interesting to see these Olympuses being maxed out!
Definitely! I like it when buses like that are worked hard!
Awesome ! I have rode them on the TfL routes, and obviously the thrash is nothing compared to this.
Thank you!
Yes, everyone does them on the 213 but it’s shit compared to this. And that’s why I thought I’d wait until I get them maxed out on rail rep again!
Very nice thrash these sound alot different now there euro 6 this must have been a good ride for you
Cheers Daniel! This was an excellent bash - never heard a London bus being worked quite so hard before!
I don’t think that’s why they sound different. The only difference Euro 6 would make to the DOEs is it would reduce the emissions emitted from the exhaust pipes
I can’t compare whether the DOEs have had similar treatment but I know the PVLs had more than just emission traps. The 54 plates also seemed really quiet to me, when compared to an 02/52 plate one, I assume extra work was done to sound proof them, and they did get new lights fitted too
Sound proofing seems to be a part of Euro 6 for some reason
And I think DOEs have Allison gearbox whereas the conventional Tridentviro of the same age would have ZF
@@ChilternTransportProductions they have a 5 speed zf ecomat gearbox
Nice one!!! :)
Thank you Lawrence! Not very often you get to see DOEs caned to fuck like this!
@@ChilternTransportProductions Yeah init
Mhm
@@ChilternTransportProductions I also Catched the Ex-London LDP157 Grant Palmer 857 I did the journey on the Route 78 with Return so stay close you will see my video coming up by the way I did saw Enviro 300 on Route 81 was a late bus which didn't came on time that's why I did saw something and did was the LDP157 instead it was fast bus ever but anyway i will try my best to catch the enviro 300 if i can
Very nice!
I love those old Yxxx TGH LDPs and I especially love Grant Palmer, so I’m looking forward to seeing your video or 857!
These E400 Olympus bodied Optares have the best motors thrashed or not
How come you were denied on DOE37?
All the seats at the back were occupied
Chiltern Transport Productions Oh, that sucks.
Yeah, you’re telling me
That’s why I was so glad I got to film DOE10!
Chiltern Transport Productions When I rarely went on the bus as a young kid and the front seat was taken (what I was interested in back then), I used to treat it like they’d stolen my favourite toy because I rarely got that experience until I was a teen.
Cool
