    I brought the CTC DIY. I did get it to work a few times but the print outs are ng. Yours look great. what software did you use? I used Cura 4.5 Printer set to PRUSA I3 Pro B and used the Prusa i3 MK2 setting and I used the CH340 drivers. Do I have the correct settings? and the hot bed has a problem.

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 4 lety +2

      I mostly use s3d slicer, about printing you just need to playing with different settings, a lot, so you figured out what settings make wich difference, calibrate everything and than you will get nice prints.

    To clarify - the x-axis-stopper is the stopper, that is attached to the x-motor?
    Because the video and the manual have different colors for the cables (you only see the cables in the manual in the last steps for plugging), so I am a bit confused which stopper is supposed to be where.
    Especially because we first build the Y (red), then the X (blue) and then the Z (black) stopper. But in the manual, the plug in order is x, y, z - (red, blue, black).
    I now plugged in at the following order: blue, red, black (x-y-z).
    Is that right?

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 6 lety

      Kobrabiss hello, it doesn't metter how you connect, you can choose red for x, y, or z axis.
      Please chack my other videos, i got one about how to connect/wiering the gt2560 board.

      I have now assembled everyhing right I think.
      Have done the setup and fixed the Y axis in the firmware (turned wrong direction).
      Now I started the first print and it looks like the gear in the printer isn't turning at all. He only prints, when I manually press the filament in. He isn't pushing it out tho, so I don't know if its the firmware..

    hello tintek33,
    I would like to ask you please :
    1- which 3d printer is better the single rail or dual rail ?
    2- is it possible to make plugs for finerglass molds with this printer ?

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 7 lety +1

      Hy,
      1: i don't have enough experience with 3D printer to tell which one is better, but i think dual rail, i just buy the cheapes printer :)
      2: of course you can make a model, or whatever you want, the best result you got if you print from ABS, grind them with file and a sand paper, then smooth the model with acetone (search youtube) i got some really nice print out with this process like it was from injection line.

    How low/down do you set the long screw on the left of the printer that pushes down on the Y limit switch? 3:56

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 6 lety +1

      boowonder888 you mean z axis limit switch, you set it after assembling, just that much that noozle got for a paper free sace from the table glass.

    • @boowonder888
      @boowonder888 Před 6 lety +1

      I think I understand. So the screw ends at the same height as the nozzle after I set it with a piece of paper? Thus the nozzle cant hit the glass because the switch will activate to stop the nozzle from going down any further?

    • @boowonder888
      @boowonder888 Před 6 lety

      I just assembled the plywood version. It is my first printer and I'm getting ready for my first print ever. how do you like yours

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 6 lety +1

      boowonder888 yes, but tight screw till end first so you don't break the glass with nozzle, than unscrew it until.get perfect ned leveling.
      I think that is great printer for the money, it's just need a few modificatiom and aetup and work just fine

    • @boowonder888
      @boowonder888 Před 6 lety

      This must be a precise and quite dangerous job then. Because it has to be done right on the 0.5 mm {business card thickness). You have to do this by eye and you need to be spot on. If you are off by even 1 mm, the nozzle is gonna hit the glass, right? This should have been explained better, cause it is critical, don't you think?

      Size you can set with ppm (pulse per mm) find it on lcd acreen and try to double it for the begginning.

    Auch hier wieder der Fehler in Step 19. Die Sicherungsringe gehören nicht aussen an die Schlittenstangen der Z-Achse. Wenn man den Riemen spannt verziehen sich die Führungsstangen der Z-Achse und es entsteht ein Wobble-Effekt. Die Sicherungsringe gehören nach innen so das der Abstand unten wie oben und beim Hochfahren der Z-Achse immer gleich ist.

    • @TinC33
      @TinC33  Před 6 lety

      Eme :3 leave motherboard on table, screw the white plastic pin onto frame and than just push motherboard onto this pin or clip.
      Plastic clip you can turn only on one way (one side) because only one side of pin got hole, that hole go on frame side M3 screw go through the frame into that hole. Not big deal, maybe there are more holes into the frame than you need, so befor start screw pin on frame chack with board in witch hole you must to screw pins.

    André Lefranc Hello,
    The assembly of this machine is not correct. The X-movement motor belt pulls towards the center on the Z axes and deforms them towards the center. To keep the two Z axes parallel, the four stop rings must be mounted inside and form a rigid frame for the two slides of the X axis.
