Mark Rober will not let this record stand. Expect a mile tall tower in 2023.
At 11:00 all of your hopes and dreams just shattered
New kind of content, cool as heck!
Those car drivers are wondering what you were doing
You misspelled height as hight
DM: “Roll me a Dexterity Saving thro-“
Player: *slows begins ascending* “Just a moment…”
"Ascend the tower! The die must be cast!"
Extra should get added on if. Player used this XD just for the ascent and decent
I'd give them a plus 5 for each roll
Player: I got a nat.20
Dm: with disadvantage.....
Player Descends to get another dice in disappointment
for the last death saving throw on your favorite character and necromancy is outlawed in the game
I’m so impressed by the knex not breaking their connections under the weight, in the wind, and especially with that turn!! Also Jakin deserves the bonus for that world record tape measure throw
Without that pole, the tower would of fell over SOOOO many times! Also Jakin did get a bonus, he just lost it all haha!
BWB and OSQ should film a video together

@@elliottnussey7516 hello, it is I
The dice getting stuck twice was clearly the tower's own attempt to forestall destruction.
Oh my gosh YOU ARE RIGHT!!
i think the tower just gave up
@@OneShotArQhive or it could be the other way round and it knew that it was gonna be odd thus stoping it so you could put an end to its misery
I was thinking the same think lol
@@OneShotArQhive Now make a Lego die with the most faces!
"You did it. You crazy son of a b*tch! You actually did it--"
Seriously, massive props to you for taking the time and expense to make these! Absolutely phenomenal, as always! :D
It was worth every Penny! Thank you!
@@OneShotArQhive was it.was it though.was it.dare you to use it in a actual campaign.your players(or fellow players)would probably laugh
Assasin Rogue: *crit with sneak attack*
DM: okay, how much damage this is?
Assasin Rogue: *using this tower* I rolling that, give me 10 minutes.
And you have to roll it one by one, or have to restart if the dice gets stuck haha!
@@OneShotArQhive And after that Sorcerer/Warlock quickened spell meteor swarm and cast four beams of eldritch blast
oh i only have 1 set of dice so... up, down up down...
@@JarVanBinksIV that's what the state of the art Dice Convayer Belt is for...tho the one shone is a prototype so it isnt ment to last.
You must reserve usage of this tower only for death saving throws. The suspense while you slowly ascend will be unbearable.
Everyone in the party (sweats profusely)
Build a staircase dedicated to it. And on the last death saving throw, you ascend the steps, before casting your dice into the mini maw of fate.
why
All death saving throws must be made from the Peak of Fate
"Stairlift to Heaven".
0:31 - it was at this point, that I realized what was meant as a dice tower...
a tower to throw your dice in, not a tower made of dice...
lol glad i wasnt the only one that initially thought that he was gunna attempt to build a tower out of dice XD
wait people don’t always stack their dice when waiting for their turn?
@@yoshi_705 Always begin with the d6 for the most structural integrity and highest stability.
@@mattoe1 I usually go
d20-d12-d10s-d8-d6-d4, because of the sizes. Overall, the d6 is the best to start with though.
@@yoshi_705 Ah yes the dice connoisseur puts fancy above structurucal integrity. Respect, my comrade.
A straight vertical dice tower.
Next up: a mousetrap-style pyramid. Built in support, and some visual entertainment as dice roll in and out of the structure. And flippers for diverging paths.
Shared this video with my D&D group and was immediately told to keep in-play towers to a "reasonable height."
As an ex construction worker, those scissor lifts are straight terrifying at full extent your first couple of times, so I'm impressed with the dedication here :)
i think the worst thing is how slow it moves up and down
Not gonna lie, I thought you meant a tower made of dice for a good few minutes there, and I was really confused how the finished product represented a tower of dice.
exactly. i want to see that as well.
"Oh, hang on, guys, I need to go to the roof to roll my dice."
Its worse when you are the Dungeon Master
"Oh sorry it got stuck again. Just wait a bit, will you?"
Especially trying to get a Yahtzee
It would be funny if that the DM had said that you should do a strength check just to roll into the dice tower
and then gets a nat 1
If you use this tower you can roll a dice and then immediately put in the next dice for the next roll. It takes its time
This is true
YES, FINALLY THE PROMISED WORLD RECORDS
Damn, now I really miss my K'nex. I spent so much time building with them when I was 10 or so but all I really remember is how much my fingers hurt putting pieces together.
OH MAN LET ME TELL YOU HOW SORE MY FINGERS WERE AFTER BUILDING THIS!
I didn't have many when I was younger, but I want to get back into that again
Hot take K'nex > lego
@@stephenjex8841 eh, I prefer Legos just because you can make much smaller builds with more detail than K'nex, but if that's what you feel, then sure
Congrats for the new world record love your content
Thank you!
This amazing and such a monstrosity. Imagine using this in a game like roll a stealth check and 13 seconds later you get the result.
Imagine rolling your death saves!
This would actually be perfect for rolling death saves.
@@OneShotArQhive Great suspense builder lmao
Finally a dice tower for spellcasters! Now they can just roll at the start of their turn and then figure out what they wanna do!
Underrated comment
I love the idea of the dm going "Ok so roll initiative"
and one of the players just replies "Alright just wait a second I gotta go get my ladder"
Unfortunately, I don’t think you can get in the guinness book without having a representative there to “witness” it. It’s still cool as hell, though.
That guy at the bottom
@@lmaolol69420 I don't think Jacob is a Guinness representative
Make sure to report this in, last highest dice tower was 11 feet. :) Don't let your work go to waste and record it officially. :D
Fun video!
He is now the Mr Beast of D&D
"FATHAAAAA!"
Good Lord, that's the most dramatic piece of media that a dice tower could produce.
And it's a D&D dice tower! Know to produce dramatic moments!!!
D&D is dramatic in general haha!
That was impressive! I wasn't expecting the building material you used, so quite the surprise.
I would of used wood, but that stuff is EXPENSIVE and plus I don't have the right skills/ tools. So Knex will do haha!
I would have used legos
Disclaimer: I loved this video, and this concept. I am writing this as constructive criticism coming from an engineering perspective. While my preferred medium is Legos, I am familiar with K'Nex. I offer these thoughts only for your consideration, and not as an attack on you, your team, or your design. In other words, I want to offer these ideas in the hope to help make a better version if you make another tower like this in the future and want to keep it.
I suggest using guy-ropes to stabilize it. At least 4, preferably a set of 4 every 10 feet. Also, you might want to reinforce the lower 1/4 of the tower as the weight and strain on those pieces would cause stress fractures eventually, and this would cause the whole tower to wobble more. Additional ropes at every 2' for the first 10' could help. The base of the structure could also be enlarged to distribute the weight more, making the tower more stable and durable.
I'm curious as to whether there were shelves, ramps, or other impediments on the interior of the tower, or were the dice free-falling? By installing slanted shelves to break up the free-fall and reduce the die's speed, you would have a safer and more secure drop, but it would be slower. Every 3-4 feet would probably be enough. The more you have, the more the die will slow down, but the less impact the die suffers overall. For the sake of the dice, avoid longer unrestrained falls where acceleration due to gravity is allowed to build.
Additionally, I would suggest a funnel or similar structure near the bottom that directs the die onto the ramp and does not allow it to escape the tract, thus preventing the issue shown with dice occasionally getting stuck at the end. As for the chain issue, I am concerned that the bucket and arm are too heavy for that chain. If there were a cup, funnel or other structure at the top to catch the die as it rolls out of the bucket, you could shorten the arm and make the bucket smaller. Also, make sure that the hinge rotates smoothly for collapse.
This is absolutely amazing, where were you when we were building it haha!!
Also yes there were shelves/ ramps. You can see them when the dice tower breaks or watching the dice go down the tower :)
I wonder what the people driving by think of this. Also, I love how enthusiastic you are about this, you can really tell in the video
Wow. Just wow. I loved the "let's do another one!" "NO!" at the end.
Yet another video to pass along to my dnd groups. 🤣
Seeing these different types of videos is great. I felt like it was getting a bit stale with just the skits (which are still amazing in their own rights) and this is is breathing new life into your work. Seriously, you look like you're having fun with these new types and that's what you should focus on.
means a lot to hear! Thank you!
That tower would be perfect for ultimate suspense on the last death saving throw with 2 failures and 2 saves.
Jakin: "It's a five!"
Dice: clearly shows a 3.
Man, so many times I've seen titles like this that turned out to be meaningless clickbait. But this was legitimately fun and really cool to see, well done sir!
I was clicking on it expecting to be fake and I actually laughed at myself when I realized it wasn't fake loL
The editing is amazing. Great job duke! I love your humor with Jakin
Thank Jakin as well! He did great with it!

But this is really cool! Congrats on the record!
I love seeing different content on this chanel. Keep up the good work!
Just you WAIT! This is just the beginning!
I really wanted to see him in the future post a video of him playing dnd with that tower. Forcing his party to wait as he went to the top and roll every time.
I like the new ending theme song. You should also probably set up a tarp or something on the ground for stuff like this so if it did fall early it would be easy to shake it all to the center and not lose anything.
Brooooo I'm so impressed and happy with how giddy you got with every new thing you guys did. I really hope you can keep up similar levels of enthusiasm in future videos! Love the new content and keep up the good work!
"Alright, roll a ste- What are you doing?"

Jakin is too precious for this world.
YES YES YES HERE WE GO! BRAND NEW WAVE OF CONTENT AND I AM HYPED!
Congrats on the world record, I really enjoyed the new video and can’t wait to see what else you do! Perhaps a world’s biggest dice (or dice tray)
Shhhh, don't spoil upcoming videos😉
3:58 I love how he read off the roll instead of the time and this wasn't even caught in editing. XD
Duke....... Duke are you ok? Like, no seriously is everything ok at home? Because what mid life chrisis, being awake at 3 in the morning and having only been eating refined fairy wings, train did you jump on to come up with this? I LOVE IT
The immense enthusiasm shown in this video is just beautiful! Thank you for sharing this with us 🙂😀😃😄😁
Lol love the mr beast style presentation. Would love to see more vids like this 🙂

Your excitement and pure joy in this video is contagious. It's so good.
It is so cool that you do such projects and spend so much time and money for it

I never thought of use K'nex to make a dice tower... GENIUS!
I don’t have nearly enough dice for this
Edit: I thought those bags in the intro were dice.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the hard work that goes into making these videos? Even if part of that work is destroying a dice tower you worked on for 5 days?
That is a nice fox picture
@@ericsanders9847 Thank you! I found it years ago, but I can’t remember exactly where I found it
That was amazing! I've been waiting for this ever since you announced it live & you guys delivered! I was hoping for an odd number with you, and hoping for a nat 20 for Jakin!
The self rolling lift for the dice was an amazing bonus, kudos for such patience and creativity Duke!

I am so happy I got to see this. I was there for the live stream where you mentioned the tower and now I get to see the end product!
Love this! Keep going dude, this is a whole new direction for DND content!
May I just say, I absolutely love your videos. And I was quite excited to hear you were expanding your channel into multiple channels with even more stuff. You sir, are a blessing to the d&d community... Thank you
That was so quality! The editing and the content both. I did *not* expect this but it was so fun!
the description of the video is amazing! cause both happen! you get the height and it comes CRASHING down!! also, this was amazing!!! thank you for making this cool video!!! i enjoyed the whole thing and was laughing most of the time watching it! thank you for what you do!!
They will forever be finding k'nex pieces in that lot. You have created an eternity of wonder and excitement for little kids who walk through this parking lot.
"Most expensive tower..."
Wyrmwood: hol my friggin beer dude
It's videos like this that really make me love the D&D community. It is by far the most wholesome fan base I've ever been a part of
"Let's do another one!"
"NO!"
Crying lmao
Absolutely loved this video! Loves your shorts but I’m digging the vibe of your new videos and you have a faithful campaign player for the long haul my friend!
Honestly, by far my favorite thing about this video is how much fun it looks like you're having.
There's a phrase that I constantly repeat to myself while browsing the internet and I think this thing exemplifies it pretty well:
"Ok. But why?"
The MrBeast of dnd! Great video by the way
I'm super impressed with this! Great job with the tower and I hope you enjoy making more content like this!
Duke I really adore your enthusiasm and drive! Your videos seriously make my day! Keep it up!
Man i felt the same pain when Duke heard the number of the last dice.
But, heck, it was freaking awesome.
Keep it up Duke we're waiting more cool content.
Dude I was so impressed that I just had to subscribe. That was amazing and I gotta show this vid to my D&D group
Ok but the knex bags at the beginning were REALLY satisfying to see! Great video!
Dude i really hope you make it and this vid goes viral..you deserve so much recognition! Great vid!
As a construction worker, this was very entertaining to watch someone use the scissor lift and the while still forget to grab something before going all the way up.
"Roll a strike" Is a phrase i never thought i'd hear in real life
"If it's a nat 1 you're fired."
"Woo!! ...wait."
The ammount of chaotic energy is of the charts.
FADAAAAAAAH
This type of content is great. I'd love to see more experimental stuff like this
You said in your last video that you got some cool surprise never attempted for DnD fan. You didn't disappoint me! It was so good!! :D
How about a one shot D&D quest where the dice automatically rolls every 5 minutes, and whatever the active person is doing is based on that roll. That would be hilariously funny to watch!
You know I think it's very important that people have fun in whatever they do and you definitely looked like you were having fun
wow, this just feels crazy to watch, but congrats ^^ Also, gotta love it when CZcams decides to change your bell settings for you >.
This was so stupidly amazing. I couldn't stop watching
jakin throwing the measuring tape 10.. misses 12 misses.. 20 perfect catch.. i cant believe you droped it but at least it made it easy to transport
This is pure gold quality content my friend!
I was not expecting you to use k'nex to build it, not sure what I was expecting but not k'nex. Absolutely loved watching this!
I imagine the measuring tape having an Attack on Titan experience.
"Oh god, he almost has me, I'm going lower and lower. HELP ME!!!
LPT - That writing on the tap measure "+3 1/4" means you can just hold the end of the tape measure against the ground , take the measure where the tape goes in and add 3 1/4 inches.
Great vid man, your humor keeps staying great no matter what videos you do^^
