Those pick up wheels are not meant to hold the entire weight of the pick up, they are only meant to be be there to raise a pick up up over a hump in the field. So when you set the baler up, put it on a flat level surface put the pick up down where you want it and then raise the wheels up about 1 inch above the ground. Or about half as high as your stubble
Hi Taylor, When your baler isn’t working correctly you still maintain a great attitude. I’ve watched a few other farming videos but none of them compare to yours. You take time to explain in detail what you are doing and what’s been done which makes it easier for everyone to understand. Those are some great looking calves again. Love your positive outlook and thanks again for sharing another great video. 😎
Taylor, it is nice to hear you say you like to keep everything neat and tidy. You take pride in whatever you are doing on the farm. Your mechanical aptitude is a great asset as you operate various pieces of farm equipment. Blessings to you and Brent.
Good morning Taylor. Wish we could get some of the rain your getting. Vermont sure is getting hammered. Noticed your approaching 10 thousand Subs. Congratulations. Looking forward to Sunday. Have a nice weekend. Say hi to Brent.
Great job Taylor and Brent !!! Please take what I about to say with the good intentions that I mean!!! I try to help the youth when I see them harming themselves. Please wear ear protection!! I am 71 years old. I was a field mechanic and welder for 43 years. I can barely hear what my wife says to me. I went 30 years without ear protection and now I am paying for it. Taylor I hope only the best for you !!! You have a wonderful attitude!!! Take care of yourself and God bless you !!!!! Eddy
Thanks so much, I know what ya mean it doesn’t take but a second to put on some ear protection and could save years of hard hearing! I’ll definitely try to take it more seriously, thanks again!
Hey Taylor, I’m a trucker who is up and down the interstate in Maine several times a week, if I can be of any assistance such as picking up parts for you or Brent, I would certainly do my best to help!
Sorry you had a rough day, but without the bad ones you wouldn't appreciate the good ones. Spent 2 years in Maine while I was in the navy. You remind me of what I oved about Maine women. Be blessed and safe. Thank you.
Excellent video Taylor. You do a great job explaining what is going on and what you are doing. The calves are too cute. Guess baling this time gave you a good leg day getting off to cut the wrap. lol. I really thank you for your videos they are great to watch and I know it takes time from other things you need to do, I share your videos too fakebook, hope it gets you some more viewers. Stay safe and healthy Tay.
Hi Taylor thank you for sharing another awesome video, there's always little niggles with older machines but you have a great attitude when it comes to finding the faults. Keep up the great work, take care and stay safe and thanks again 👍 😊 .
What a great haying video. I would love to be able to get out in the field again and do some hayiing. When I used to haying, we only had square balers. It had its own engine on the baler that ran the baler. It would shake the c*** out of you. Our tractor was a Massey-Harris model 44. Gas powered. About 26 HP. Worked like a charm for everything we did. Glad to see that the baler decided to work again. I know that it can be frustrating to keep getting off and on a tractor to cut wrap. Love the new calves. They are so cute. Have a great day and God bless.
Hi Taylor looking good and fabulous as always. You and Brent are doing a great and fantastic job. Really love you're videos Taylor 😊. You guys rock. Regards pat Brazil.
Hello Miss Taylor and Mr Brent. Those are nice looking calfs. Boy there big.. its never a good day when your having problems. Even if it's just a Baler problem. But you handled it and got it done... great job..
Hi Taylor, I love your attitude when things go wrong. You stop, fix it and get on with it. I haven't seen a classic rotory transfer pump for a while but if it does the job why change it. It's was very hot there for a while and you should be happy now for the rain for growing grass. No major issues reported, so life is ok for the time being. Keep on keeping on. Chris from Australia 🇦🇺.
Great video Taylor. I’m so impressed with your farming knowledge. Congratulations on your channel. It’s growing fast. You and Brent have a good weekend.
Wonderful job, Taylor! You’re doing more with moving your camera around and that is outstanding! Glad you and Brent were able to beat the rain and get those bales done. You always have that great attitude, also. 🐮 🏍🇺🇸🎒 Edited *Your to *You’re
I had same problem on a Krone 1250 baler with the net, kept tightening the brake and no improvement. I put a new brake pad on and it solved the problem. I milked cows stalled up much like ye do years ago and really enjog seeing it again. Greetings from Ireland
Yes I agree Vermeer hasn't made a good bailer since they were made by Lely since then there bailers went down hill big time . ....my personal preference u want a good bailer for wet hay buy a New Holland RB450👍👍
Good video, Taylor. Cute calves! You know it's going to be a decent day when your seat on an open station tractor is dry--Yes!! Good job baling. I wonder if the dampness of the hay and ground may have been a factor in the netting messing up. I don't know, just tossing it out there. Thanks for the video!
Great video Taylor! Do you put a safety bar in place when you have to get in the back of the baler? It’s a dangerous place to be when something fails with the hydraulics. Keep up the great job !
Would be interesting to hear why its not cutting the net, keep up the outstanding work. Baler twine and duct tape, must have for tool box. Well maybe zip ties have replaced baler twine these days.
Hi, I was wondering why you pulled out the filter when you filled up with fuel lol, I have never had anything to do with haylege so have no idea if its ok when wet. I think your baler problem is probably more to do with some worn parts and things are not lining up properly. As its an old machine by the looks of it adding new parts can cause problems too for the same reason, I doubt it has anything to do with the ground you are on. Hope you have a plan for when it hits the fan, milking 70 cows by had will be an all day job. I think you should show more about your day so people see how hard it is, they will be relying on videos like this when things go south. Most think its easy, you know what I mean, milk a few cows, drive a tractor about for a bit, go home for a few hours, and come back to milk them again. The reality is far different in my experience anyway but the when I was involved in farming most of the work was done by hand, we used the tractor to get the gear there. The only good thing about farming in those days was we never got to much trouble from the locals as we where all pumped up, it was like a ten hour workout, the builders were the same. We never got any good at fighting though, when we hit them they stayed hit.
I love your channel but I do feel the need to defend Vermeer. We have had great luck with them but like all equipment when the get some age on them they also require some tlc.
Thanks, we actually love everything about the baler aside from the net systems. Had trouble with that from the moment it rolled on the dooryard. Other than that it will bale anything and makes a gorgeous bale. Thanks so much for commenting!
@@tayfarms I'm so used to a tmr ration heavy on corn silage. Even the organic farms I've been on still fed tmr with corn silage just more haylage both usually have some protein mineral mix added in. You definitely have nice looking cows and you must have good butterfat.
Yes, we could do that will our plow but then we would have to re-seed it too. It has actually improved 100 times by just driving on it. But definitely slow progress 😊

If you are wrapping the bales in plastic anyway why bother putting netwrap on them. Seems like a waste of money. I mean I would think the plastic would hold them together

Just filtering the fuel some more I guess but since there’s one built into the diesel pump I don’t usually bother 😀

Taylor, I have watched a couple bailing videos and wonder what does the switch on the fender does?

Are you locking that baler gate before you get inside?

You may want to see if the farmer growing corn on the farm would till those rough fields and then reseed them.
I put baby powder on my net wrap for static problems.
How much horse power does the loader tractor have or what model is it?
