I have the same SUV X5 M50d F15 since 2015 as our family car and I have to say it’s a great machine „safe + reliable“ vehicle to have to move your family members on the roads because it’s a fast SUV but at the same time very economical car with diesel for long distance traveling you save a lot of fuel money. My wife loves it! ❤️

They should put this engine into the 3/4 series and give diesel their own M Range. Maybe different exhaust system, intercooler and remap. Would push out a good 450-500bhp
SuperManBeemerrr Yes but what BMW wants is reliabilty and in my opinion by increasing the hp it would put more stress and strain to the engine thus making the car a bit more unreliable but that is just my opinion.
I doubt you can push much more out of this engine. Image almost 400HP with 3 turbochargers and "only" 3 litres and 6 cylinders. It is already quite crazy. With petrol engines you can push the limits much more; the 381 PS (?) engine in the A45 AMG has only 2 litres and 1 turbocharger.
I would definitely not push it more. The new one with 4(!) turbochargers has only 19 PS more while the probability of a failing turbocharger seems quite high.

Because it is safer and to let other drivers know how dumb are you people that's why they aren't autobahn in every country

Yeah, some urgent drivers do that to show that they are intending to pass by fast, it's the "polite" version of flashing the headlights.
MrArminkwk I do it in mine. Sometimes to let them know coming past a bit quicker and sometimes if the turn signal is flashing they will notice it and not pull straight out in front of you, a way to make drivers more aware and more polite than flashing
It's why that new feature in most new cars which flashes when you're about to change lane is so welcome....reduces the number of accidents by drivers who pull out of lane without looking

It is not that bad actually. When I drive it at 220km/h it gets noisy, yes. But below that, it's quite okay. His camera was positioned directly next to the door where the door itself closes. Of course it is a little bit louder there.
However, in direct comparison with a 7 series BMW, yes. Much louder. But: The car is much higher and has a much bigger cw value.
Marvin Caught you lying straight away. The sound comes from the speakers and it has nothing to do with the camera being next to the door’s closing!😅 If you’d have this car, you’d know this! X5 M50d got this feature with the sound coming from the speakers, to make us feel better. Because the actual diesel sound is very poor. Heads up and don’t brag again to own this beauty😉
My X5 F15 x30d it's too noisy also in Autobahn. I'm thinking about changing it for that reason. It's one of the least aerodynamic cars.
My BMW x550i xdrive has over 400 horsepower and it's not M..... so mine can go faster??

@@DestroyerOfLiberasts i did the test in 18 degree heat. Bone dry tarmac completely flat. And the whole thing about brand new car is nonsense. I had a 335d before which has bang on same engine on a 14 plate. Bmw state that does 0-60 in 4.8 and i was getting 4.5/6. And the car was over 8 years old. This x5 is 8 years old now and its slower than a 40d
