Yes - that is what I am using. If you check out the link to the Radline_RCForums there is a thread there where v_b has created a custom drive shaft that will fit the Radline but take mini-z AWD derlin gears. The set he has goes up to a 21T pinion and down to a 27T spur.
@beckervldejazzcom Short Answer - Yes. Long Answer - It depends. People talk a lot about how many volts their board can take, but its not just about the volts, its about the total power being pulled through the board, which is volts x amps (watts). I have run the Radline board with 3S Li-ion (11.1V) but with no motor attached, just the servo. It worked fine. But I know that if I connected a drive motor (particularly a fast one) to the board at that voltage it would fry. So be careful.
@beckervldejazzcom On this vid I was using the Radline Modified Motor. They used to sell this individually. Now you can only get it the Performance Pack with the bearings (which are a must have). There are a lot of good (and better) 130 sized motors available at AtomicMods
The only alkaline that I used were the ones that came with the car originally (which lasted 10 minutes). Since then I have been using the Duracell 1000mAh rechargeables. Unless you have a fortune to spend on batteries I would advise getting a decent set of rechargeables.
Can't help you there. I have only had experience with this one which is Warpath with Detour wheels. They are bascially the same so just pick the one you like.
Check out the forum link in the "more info" section. There is a tutorial there for a 6 cell mod. I simply used a 3 cell holder as the extra battery holder giving 7 cells
@Karl23extreme I don't believe that anyone on this thread said that the Duracell NiMHs were alkalines but yes - you are correct - they are not alkaline, they are rechargeable NiMH
In the broader sense of electric RC I agree, this is not very fast. The idea was to detail what you can do to steadily make the car faster. Out of the box speed for these things is about 7 to 10 mph.

@DeathlyHall0w Duracell NiMH batteries aren't alkaline, they're rechargeable batteries.

nice video
No. Just the mods listed in the video.
@beckervldejazzcom
"Likely" won't. I ran 7 cells on mine for a long time without any issues.
@beckervldejazzcom
I fixed it (I think?). It's the same link that is posted in the more info section for this video, i.e. a link to the Radline Forum
Thanks joeyblaze
They claim 10 but its more like 7 I think
sorry but thats slow
